I took it twice daily and had to have blood work every 6 months. Been off of it for over 20 years. I know this is an older video, and I do prefer natural remedies but I just want to say that sometimes the pain is so bad that you need something instant, and I see alot of people talking bad about these pills, sure if you over do it they're terrible but I took two aleve in a 12 hour window when the inflammation in my lower legs became unbearable, and I couldn't believe how much pain it blocked my brain from feeling, which in turn led me to get a good nights sleep which helped me recover. If you don't overdo it, these pills can really help
Thank you, Dr. Mandell. Very good topic. Very educational & informative. A good knowledge to know the difference to take for pain or for inflammation. Love, Peace & Light.
Regardless of what they say about Tylenol, it is the best pain reliever so long as you do not take over the recommended amount. The nsaids will flat tear your gut up regardless if you take them with food-especially ibuprofen. When on the rare occasion I get a pounding sinus headache, tylenol does the job.
Excellent review Dr.! Bravo! I have both types of meds (generic Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen) in my medicine cabinet. On rare occassions, I'll take generic Acetaminophen alone for more painful arthritis flare-ups, due to my aging knees when I have to do squat type bending movements. I always take these OTCs with 4 Graham Crackers and a 20-oz can of Arizona Honey Green Tea -- sometimes with whole milk. I rarely use these meds longer than a 2-week duration. I also take a daily PM high-dose of Omega Fish Oil. It's supposed to help reduce inflammation pain too (as a vitamin supplement).
This paim reliever caused my heart attack . Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) - medications commonly used to treat pain and inflammation - can increase the risk of a heart attack, stroke and high blood pressure, whether you already have heart disease or not, although the risk is greater in those who have heart disease.

Turmeric is a root that is great for inflammation. Are you using only the leaves? Never heard or read anywhere that you use the leaves and I've researched turmeric extensively.
Live This Life I have also used the flower to all the plant is eatable, I have been into natural healing and researched everything about turmeric, I found that the whole plant is eatable so used the leaves, which I have growing in my garden here in the Philippines! I am from the uk, turmeric as I understand cannot be grown there, in the same way as it is here! I know that you can add black pepper to turmeric to boost the effect of it! Curcumin is the active ingredient they have used it in patients with have had strokes and they recover quicker and feel better to! I use garlic and honey if I have an infection, garlic active ingredient is Alison, honeys active ingredient is propolis which is the secretion of the bees all around the hive, this protects the hive from infection! I cut the garlic up very fine, leave it for about 10 minutes, this is so the Alison will activate and then pour the honey onto it, I then swallow it using a spoon, I drink one glass of water afterwards! I only take this once per day for 2-3 days and infection is gone, oh yes I use 3 cloves of garlic! Been doing this for around 25 years now! Thank you!
James Batey. Thanks for the reply and all the wonderful information. Where I am in Missouri I have never tried to grow it myself. I purchase the powder at our natural food store. Goo g to give the garlic thing a try. Thanks again.
What Dr. Mandell said about taking too much is applied to ALL medications. They will heal whatever but TO MUCH will destroy whatever. Research is easy nowadays, for any question.
The NSAIDs might give some temporary pain relief but they actually make things worse. They speed up cartilage degeneration. And acetaminophen is terrible for you. It's best to treat arthritis pain with heat and ice. Mostly heat though. No, I'm not a doctor. I'm just someone living the hell of osteoarthritis. I used to take ibuprofen and naproxen, provided by the Army and then the VA for spondylosis. Now I have arthritis in every major joint. These medications only make things worse. They're poison.

Taking the confusion out of the area. This video is a masterpiece in under three minutes. I watch the medical profession run interference on our recovery and I watch you open the door. 😆
I think this channel is great for advice on natural cures. But why would a non medical doctor who has no pharmacy training be suggesting what over the counter analgesics or antiinflammatories are best to take?
Seems to me he just gave straight facts. So one can decide for themselves if to take or best leave alone. And I am sure he probably reads and researches a lot. Maybe even more than a pharmacist, and simply sharing his knowledge. So, as always, decide for yourself.
Most of the medical doctors are trained to give people medications or surgery. They know little or nothing about natural and healthy remedies. Medical doctors do not subscribe to preventative medicine because that would not make them money. Thank Dale Carnegie for that.for that situation. Dr. Mandall has made a lifetime study and researches everything he passes on. Being an MD does not make any Dr. smarter then I am about the way my body works. Several times over my lifetime I have gone to Drs. who gave me wrong advise and advise that would hurt me. What I did was to research it for myself and find a natural way to help me and my children when they were young. I was always correct in those situations and the doctors were were not. Mainly every single Dr. was always ready to dish out a prescription solution, but I was smart and said NO! I am 73 and not on one medication. When I need tweaking for something Dr. Mandell's advise is without fail always on the money!
none of them have ever worked on pain and inflammation for me and they all bother my stomach so I dont bother with any of them. I do live in constant pain and would love to find an answer that really works.
Do reserch on natural remedies you can make yourself. Seems like your body will not tolerate these man made craps. It's a good thing, really. I'll bet you anything, that there is a "recipe" for you...just research. ✌
I take a table spoon of turmeric mixed with lemon juice and hot water (turmeric tea) every night for arthritic pain in my knees. It works throughout the next day day, every day.
Has anyone ever heard of grounding, walking or standing in the grass or sand? I use a grounding mat in my bed, it works wonders, but research other remedies floor your body to see what works.
Respectfully, if you think this doctor speaks too slowly, play this video at 1.5 speed. 😊 I have switched to Omega 3 fish oil capsules for their anti-inflammatory and blood thinning ability without the dangerous side effects.
Tylenol is the only medication including Meloxicam that helps pain. I take Turmeric with pepper to hep with pain and inflammation and milk thistle for protecting liver.

Dr Mandell thank you, Salute!
This was very helpful. Thank you Dr. Mandell.
Advil is the devil. Even one a day for an extended period of time gave me stomach aches, reflux, rebound headaches, and raised my BP about ten points.
Thank you dr mandel happy Sunday to you 😘
This paim reliever caused my heart attack . Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) - medications commonly used to treat pain and inflammation - can increase the risk of a heart attack, stroke and high blood pressure, whether you already have heart disease or not, although the risk is greater in those who have heart disease.
What do you take as an alternative? Would love to know.
@@rinaaiello583 - I learned to control it - had a severe concussion that lasted almost 5 yrs - stress is the worst pain trigger - when your unemployed and not earning money stress is hard to avoid - I also used CBD oil that also helped in the overall recovery.
OMG, so happy you are on the mend!!
@@nomorewar4189 yes! I agree stress is a killer.. thank you so much for replying. Enjoy the rest of your day 🙂
Thanks so much for the visuals and your clear explanation of what these drugs do.
Thanks
Short and to the point 👌
Dr. Mandel, THANK YOU. You are such a God Send, for giving us THE TRUTH FOR FREE. Those commercials go on & on, and at the end IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY. May God Bless You & your Family Forever. ☮️ & 💖 A 60's Truth Seeker. THANK YOU!
I had headache and fever my body was getting warm and I took two advil and it work in less than an hour. Good medicine.
Naproxen Sodium also bc of its Sodium can Tax the Heart as well, and Aspirin also hits the Kidneys and each of these organs has a different cellular turn over rate. The tongue can take up to 7 years, but the Liver is usually 8 months. Do your own due diligence and Study these turn over rates and adjust medicating yourself accordingly.
Thank you dr for this video I’ve shied away from drugs but unfortunately the people I know still want to take drugs what ever problem they have.
Great vid Doc. I would also suggest that you view it multiple times, to fully absorb all of the info.
Excellent info as always!!!
LOVE DR. ALWAYS BRING VERY INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL LESSONS, THANKS, BE BLESSED.
Excellent information Doctor!!
I appreciate this clarification!
Thanks for your info.
My pain doc tells me that Advil type meds are off limits for me. Advil and Ibuprofen are 6 hour meds, Aleve is a 12 hour dose. Meloxicam is a 24 hour dose. I was on Meloxicam for 3 months, and ended up peeing and pooping blood for a week. I quit taking it as soon as the bleeding started. Be careful with that family.
All your videos are helpful and beneficial, Thank you Dr MANDEL 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Dr. Alan.
When did you become a mind reader? Thank you for answering these questions!
Thank you for the information.
I never knew this difference. Thanks
Thank you Dr. For the advice ...God bless
I us turmeric boil 2-3 leaves in 2 litres of water, boil for 2 minutes you can add lemon when it cools down! I don't I love the taste of turmeric! I had loads of inflammation in my shoulders and other places, I will not take any medication!
I take this for 1 month then have a weeks recast from it then start again! My BP is 120/80 and I am very much over weight, I am 64 years old! When I go to get a check up the doctor take my BP and says I will just check that again lol
Turmeric is a root that is great for inflammation. Are you using only the leaves?
Never heard or read anywhere that you use the leaves and I've researched turmeric extensively.
@@DeborahWade1 I have never heard of turmeric leaves.

Thank you again Make it a great day xxxooo.
I just love this guy...thank you so much.. Blessings.
Thanks for the quick clarification
Thank you very much because I’ve been using aspirin and couldn’t understand why the pain I was feeling from inflammation wasn’t going awsy
Is there anything to take for arthritis that doesn’t aggravate diverticulosis? Seems the medication takes care of one problem but aggravates another.
Have you tried a far infrared heating pad?
I have Rheumatoid, for me, I try to eat alot of natural Omega-3s: Sardines, salmon, mackerel, chia seeds in my water. Fasting, eating one meal a day also helps with inflammation if combined with a low carb diet.

Taking the confusion out of the area. This video is a masterpiece in under three minutes. I watch the medical profession run interference on our recovery and I watch you open the door. 😆
Thank you doc. I sat on my tailbone wrong yesterday and am in extreme pain (didn’t realize ur tailbone could be this painful).
Not suggesting, just educating.
@@motivationaldoc
Exactly what I was saying.
And that is very clear in the video.
Just arming us with knowledge.
Good morning thanks you doctor God bless 🙏❤️
none of them have ever worked on pain and inflammation for me and they all bother my stomach so I dont bother with any of them. I do live in constant pain and would love to find an answer that really works.
Do reserch on natural remedies you can make yourself. Seems like your body will not tolerate these man made craps. It's a good thing, really. I'll bet you anything, that there is a "recipe" for you...just research. ✌
CBD works well
I take a table spoon of turmeric mixed with lemon juice and hot water (turmeric tea) every night for arthritic pain in my knees. It works throughout the next day day, every day.
@@streetdreams0812 what kind of tumeric do you take?
Has anyone ever heard of grounding, walking or standing in the grass or sand?
I use a grounding mat in my bed, it works wonders, but research other remedies floor your body to see what works.
Respectfully, if you think this doctor speaks too slowly, play this video at 1.5 speed. 😊
I have switched to Omega 3 fish oil capsules for their anti-inflammatory and blood thinning ability without the dangerous side effects.
Tylenol is the only medication including Meloxicam that helps pain. I take Turmeric with pepper to hep with pain and inflammation and milk thistle for protecting liver.
Thanks Doc!,...Short but sweet!!!
