During our interview with Austin, he very humbly thanked all of the people who helped make the build possible, including FAST of West Chester, Schmuck Built, Carbon Fiber Element, Nostalgic Grains, and Exact Art Fabrication. Unfortunately, due to my editorial overthinking, that didn't make the final cut, and that's my bad. -Tall Ben
Gears and Gasoline very cool guy and awesome build with attention to detail. I wasn’t fortunate to meet him but met his dad which spoke of the build and expressed how passionate he was for the what went into the project.I’m here to say that this is a must see for everyone.
To me, I'm pretty happy.... I mean, he's pretty happy with it, and I like the fact that he went into the trouble of keeping the AWD of the Skyline. But, even if it was RWD, seems like a lot of work has gone into this car, I respect that.
*Never mind the hood. Go get a proper paint job. The black fenders look like his car came out of a chop shop and he couldn't finish painting all the body panels.*
I agree, they do a great job. I was just commenting about why they don't have more subs. When you're trying to grow, often times more videos will lead to more subs. Just saying.
Saw this thing at the Philly auto show over a year ago when they just finished the swap, Austin’s a genuine dude. Glad it’s not another show trailer queen and actually gets driven 💪🏼
The J Media just seen this car at Boxerfest yesterday and it blew my mind just amazing work of art and as u can tell I had to UA-cam it just to show it off....
One of my all-time favorite builds. Austin's ethos with this car represent everything that I love and aspire to attain as a car enthusiast. A unique style, executed in a clean and tasteful way, all-the-while retaining its functionality. Points for being a WRX hatch, choosing--not only a legendary motor, but to also mate it with an AWD system (befitting a subaru), and adding a wide-body and air suspension, but not cambering it out, so that it remains capable while cornering. A show car capable of track days. Love it.
My first time seeing this panda beast, was 2 years ago at panda junction. This will forever be my favorite build and the best car on any show. Mad props to the guy.
I remember when this guy used to make precision skateboard trucks called “Buzzed” trucks than eventually started making custom shift knobs. Been following him ever since and has been awesome to follow this build.
Absolutely fantastic job. Be you a Subaru purist, a muscle car guy, a layman, you have to applaud this man’s product. There is just something so amazing about this build. Though he may lack that ability of showing his emotion, it comes to life when starting that car. Pure heart and emotion is what this car breaths. Wonderful!
The fact that this whole video was filmed literally 4 minutes away from my house and on roads I literally drive every day blows my mind, cause I’ve never seen this car.. absolutely beautiful build
For the size of turbo, yes. He said himself the turbo is happy in the 35-40psi range and once the motor is built he will crank it up. Medium boost was a reference to the turbo, not towards power. While one turbos efficiency range is maxed out at 29psi, another turbos range may be 40-50psi
This is insane! Just the sheer fabrication, custom work, the swap itself, the dry sump, air system, interior, etc. i cant imagine how much time, money, and energy this had to take. So much commitment too, to go through all the way with a build like this with no compromise or half assing, props for this!
I like the energy and humility of this guy....plus the juxtaposition of the car's character versus his own. Excellent interview....always loved that gen as well.
Kevin K just because he's driving it on the streets does not mean it is street legal. So tell me. How is this street legal? The engine alone wasn't offered in the United States. The engine is of a different manufacturer. The turbo kit isn't legal. The exit path of the exhaust out of the hood is not legal. Hence no catalytic converters. Let's be real here. The car is fully done up from the ground up, do you really think he's retaining all his smog hardware?
Love seeing this car at meets. The camera does not do justice for how clean this thing is in person. Never met the guy but definitely have a ton of pics of the car.
I've seen this car the last two years in a row at the Motorama show near where I live in central PA. Awesome build! Draws a ton of attention from the crowd. I've spent a good bit of time looking it over at the show.
As someone going through basic training for the army, I only have ten mins of phone time per week. I chose to spend It watching this video. So worth it. Keep up the great work guys. You've made my week
Seeing this car in person is absolutely crazy. The only benefit of living in PA is seeing this dude around at meets and shows. Seeing it in videos doesn’t compare to actually seeing it in person.
r3ktfahdle I'd argue that the Nissan system is better because it isn't fwd bias like Subaru and has the ability to push 100% power to either front or rear.
IMO the biggest plus side to using the Nissan trans/awd is the significantly bigger, and thus stronger, diffs that come with the GTR. An R180 can only take so much power. All of this however doesn’t even take into consideration that to pair an RB to a Subaru gearbox, the rear of the engine has to be in front of the front axles; which would place the front of the engine a solid foot out the front of the car.
I have respect and admiration for car guys like him. I don’t understand trailer queens. I don’t understand the point of modding a car then never driving it. Cars are meant to be driven. Love this guy
Awesome to see and hear this car running. I saw a lot of photos of it parked at shows so I was wondering if even ran right yet. Great video. That thing is SO sick!
Ive been waiting for someone to fo this! Mad respect! Beautiful build! And so happy you put the gtr drive train unstead of just the motor to rear drive!
I was so happy when the WRX came to the USA! I got one in 2001 a 2002 WRX. I was never a fan of the hatchbacks/wagons BUT this is BY FAR one of the BEST I have ever seen! An RB in a WRX body wow! How hard and expensive was that swap?!?!
Guys like these are gods in this industry you have to know and understand every aspect of every single piece and if this works well with this and if those work well with these and what outcomes come out..these guys are so fucking inspiring
Was going to comment about how it didn't really need to be as mid engine as it is, but then I heard him say he kept the AWD, HUGE props for that. Amazing build.
-Tall Ben
This was amazing guys I see this car a lot never seen the owner car is amazing.
Austin is a great guy and Billetworkz makes amazing stuff. The video profile of him and the car is just great. Love it.
Gears and Gasoline very cool guy and awesome build with attention to detail.
I wasn’t fortunate to meet him but met his dad which spoke of the build and expressed how passionate he was for the what went into the project.I’m here to say that this is a must see for everyone.
i wanna build my legacy into the car that made the sti.. a legacy rs-ra
that is beautiful
No matter how much you hate the idea of the swap, this guy pulled it off so cleanly that the car just looks fabulous.
Fast of west chester built the car...
Fast of West Chester played a large part in building the car, but there were also many others involved!
AzNightmare carbon fibre.....ass 🤦♂️
these videos are why I look forward to saturdays.
Right get off of a stressful day of work and I see a car video. Perfect.
"I wanna vape, but I really like Paul Walker"
"Say no more"
Lmao 😁
Paul walker drove a subaru in the fourth F&F
Landon Luangsomkham omfg you are one dumb fuck
😂😂😂
lmao!!
You guys are seriously one of the best car channels and deserve wayyyyyyy more subs
so true
I agree, but only publishing one video a week makes growth kind of slow.
giff74 they take a week sure but the end product is definitely worth it ! Can’t deny that
I agree, they do a great job. I was just commenting about why they don't have more subs. When you're trying to grow, often times more videos will lead to more subs. Just saying.
Yes.
You say "Unholy Union", I say "Biblical Build"!
And on the 8th day, the Lord said: "Let there be RB26-swapped WRXs," and it was so. And the Lord looked on his creation and said, "That's so dope."
Lol
Its the New Testament
This is better than that GT86. This is truly a Holy Build
Ugliest Subaru body though
Saw this thing at the Philly auto show over a year ago when they just finished the swap, Austin’s a genuine dude. Glad it’s not another show trailer queen and actually gets driven 💪🏼
Wow, M3 GTR builder is also here!

This car is truly a unicorn! Ever since the first time I saw it, I was like damn that is truely a work of art!
The J Media I saw it on the Philly auto show and I couldn’t believe my eyes 😩😩
Unicorns are gay man, good luck with liking gay cars
The J Media just seen this car at Boxerfest yesterday and it blew my mind just amazing work of art and as u can tell I had to UA-cam it just to show it off....
Aaron Ramirez
: Fast / quick cars are not the exclusive realm of hets. Deal with it.
Pete Moss......sure is an idiot. Deal with it, live with it.
now im a bit of a subaru "purist". but even i can't deny.. this thing is car porn...
Subways Shenanigans damm it it’s making me hard

Have you seen the Hondaru?
“Drive it like it’s meant to be driven” 🤙

I remember when this guy used to make precision skateboard trucks called “Buzzed” trucks than eventually started making custom shift knobs. Been following him ever since and has been awesome to follow this build.
KCspeed still got a set on V1 Buzzed and a set of V2 as well!
I had a set of beef cakes
Absolutely fantastic job. Be you a Subaru purist, a muscle car guy, a layman, you have to applaud this man’s product. There is just something so amazing about this build. Though he may lack that ability of showing his emotion, it comes to life when starting that car. Pure heart and emotion is what this car breaths.
Wonderful!
This guy has less emotion than Arnold in the Terminator
John McBride i would be smiling every time i was flooring it
5:12
David blane
Guys with cars like this try to look too cool
Beastobitchio he's not trying to look cool hes just that way
Not only are you driven for success, but show extreme passion for what machines can be, and how one idea evolves to another.. Major props ".
Windshield stickers are adding at least 300hp
#facts 350 wheel TBH
I can't see, but I sure do love fig Newton's
The fact that this whole video was filmed literally 4 minutes away from my house and on roads I literally drive every day blows my mind, cause I’ve never seen this car.. absolutely beautiful build
Really nice build and car. Love stuff like this
I love this build, 5 years later it still resonates with me 🎉🎉🎉🎉
"medium boost... like 29lbs"
lol
Fernde09 Maybe he's hinting that his car can take way more than 29.
For the size of turbo, yes. He said himself the turbo is happy in the 35-40psi range and once the motor is built he will crank it up. Medium boost was a reference to the turbo, not towards power. While one turbos efficiency range is maxed out at 29psi, another turbos range may be 40-50psi

What WRX owners look like when they stop vaping.
Such a humble, down to earth dude. Had the pleasure to meet him and watch my shift knob get engraved this week. Nothing but love for this car.
Yo i hope yall know aint noone on youtube is making automotive videos like you guys do , good stuff👌🏽
J P
Petrolicious
Aye car throttle better
Saw this build on Hoonigan. Watched it twice. Still loved every second of this video.
I really like that you're actually gonna drive this car like it's meant. I don't get the point of having a nice car that never leaves the garage.
I like the energy and humility of this guy....plus the juxtaposition of the car's character versus his own. Excellent interview....always loved that gen as well.
As you can tell the car isn't done yet because the hood was not installed.
🤣
Il a juste pas nique son projet
@Ida hoe Hahahahaha says the 12 year old with "ida hoe" for a screen name. You're a real fucking genius yourself there champ. Lmfao
easily the nicest build ive seen to date. and no negative comments that ive seen, shows the nice people in the car community. gg
I've seen this one a few time online and it's sweet
After seeing this car in person a hand full of times it's good to meet the man behind the build
Probably my proudest fap.
Nasc Hahahaha
Same 😂👌
this is a work of art, wow. when you are done having fun with that awesome car, please put it on a museum for all generations to see it.
Love this channel! Keep up the good work.
Realized I just seen this car in person a couple of months ago. Absolutely stunning in person!
Fuck me sideways! This is street legal too...
Btw, greetings from Germany :(
espro It's not street legal.
Vincent Gelvez but he is driving on the streets.
espro It is street legal don’t listen to that guy.
Do you prefer on your right side or left side. Up to you, Im good with both.
Love seeing this car at meets. The camera does not do justice for how clean this thing is in person. Never met the guy but definitely have a ton of pics of the car.
A hood exit! But with no hood. So, an exit? ;)
"meant to be driven", that's the kind of build I love! My man! 🙏
Not really into this gen but it looks good if this was a blobeye or a Hawkeye that would be the best thing ever
I've seen this car the last two years in a row at the Motorama show near where I live in central PA. Awesome build! Draws a ton of attention from the crowd. I've spent a good bit of time looking it over at the show.
The first time i saw this I shit myself
Finally got to see this thing in person at WBM. This things unreal! Favorite car there.
Subaru and Nissan hmmm This cars name should be "SuSan"
... ohhh thats my moms name
Always see this guys ride within Allentown PA and all over PA.
Such a solid ride.
Roll races against the HONDARU!!!!!!!
As someone going through basic training for the army, I only have ten mins of phone time per week. I chose to spend It watching this video. So worth it. Keep up the great work guys. You've made my week
Acting like Mark Zuckerburg fr during his hearing with politicians. No emotion. At least it shows in his car.
Beautiful! The owner seems like a cool dude, really like that he is going to enjoy driving the car and not just let it collect dust.
What a beast 🤗
If only I could shake this blokes hand. What a build man!
Nice civic
Had a custom shift knob made from this guy's company, Billetworkz. Great company, definetly would recommend.
6:49 riiiight... "puppy"...
He was 7 months old at the time the footage was taken. Now 8 months old ;)
being a puppy is not defined by size
Bull and Terrier type dogs are puppies for life. They never really grow up.
I am a subaru purist, but thats a very clever build style and the way everything is put together. Love it
This guy shows no emotion, ps the dog is the best part of the car
My favorite hatch build period. Videos and pictures still don't do this car justice...this car is amazing in person. Awrsome video guys as always!
This isn't a straight forward swap.
X Blocky idk look at boostedboiz
X Blocky cx racing prob sells a "complete" swap kit for $350 on eBay. Comes with everything u need bro.
This isnt a swap, its a build.
What a man, doesnt let his car sit and admire it because he doesnt want to get the mileage up, he'll drive it because he loves it. Respect
Wtf, can you drive a car over in the States without the bonnet on it? Here in Aus that's an instant defect and a fine.
You can't, just because he's doing it doesn't mean it's legal
I love how you guys make all these videos like little movies. You guys really got the best car channel frfr
3:26
Thank me later 🤙
Steven Castro Vlogs thanks 🙇🏻♂️😂♥️
Seeing this car in person is absolutely crazy. The only benefit of living in PA is seeing this dude around at meets and shows. Seeing it in videos doesn’t compare to actually seeing it in person.
"not one for attention" get a hood then.
hahaha right
did I say anything else? Or are you just projecting? I said that if he doesn't want attention, he should consider a hood.
ITsFoggyOutside shut up dumbass
Stfu lmao you’re “that guy”
Looks like the hood brackets aren't there, so he may do so once he's done talking it to shows and making it a street car.
Wow...that is beyond stupid sick. Props to everyone who helped bring this beast to life.
why no hood tho?
won't fit
really lol :D?
I absolutely love going to car shows and seeing this thing. Sooo beautiful
Can we be friends bro?
I was watching this and then realized that I drive on those roads every day on my way to work. Lancaster County for life.
So that’s what happens when Nissan and Subaru combine 🤔 Awesome. Wouldn’t the Subaru AWD system be better tho?
r3ktfahdle I'd argue that the Nissan system is better because it isn't fwd bias like Subaru and has the ability to push 100% power to either front or rear.
ralesh kumar the sti has that power to...
IMO the biggest plus side to using the Nissan trans/awd is the significantly bigger, and thus stronger, diffs that come with the GTR.
An R180 can only take so much power.
All of this however doesn’t even take into consideration that to pair an RB to a Subaru gearbox, the rear of the engine has to be in front of the front axles; which would place the front of the engine a solid foot out the front of the car.
r3ktfahdle no it doesn't. A dccd can't transfer 100% power either way. It can push Max 80% either way
ralesh kumar ahh I see well it’s still a awesome build
Always wanted to hear it after seeing it in person for the first time at Awd fest Philadelphia last year. It's an amazing car and such a unique build.
The only way an STI will ever be fast & keep up with an Evo 😂
Jovanny Sanchez it's not an sti you nut
Shrocket that's even worse lmao
Jovanny Sanchez I dunno, either way they're just gonna explode.
Says the person that drives a Honda lmao I don't see you keeping up with the STI let alone a WRX 😂
Leo Nolasco You forgot that the Type R walked an STI without a problem from factory 😂 your 30k pos white fan boy car is wack.
I still watch this video from time to time and say “This is a BAD ASS build” 👍🏾👍🏾
Vs boostedboiz kswap sti??????
I have respect and admiration for car guys like him. I don’t understand trailer queens. I don’t understand the point of modding a car then never driving it. Cars are meant to be driven. Love this guy
Only subaru i'll drive.
Mario Mukaj right now my Honda not beating shit it’s a fresh rebuild that hasn’t hit the rollers to make no power. Idgaf what anyone has I’ll run it.
True
SI RICKO same
thing with subaru is they dont have much to choose from new or old.
Reflector "lol fucking Honda" am not a Honda funboy but you know how much you can get out those shitty 4 potts?
Awesome to see and hear this car running. I saw a lot of photos of it parked at shows so I was wondering if even ran right yet. Great video. That thing is SO sick!
Car was insane. Fun to watch and very genuine idea on putting a rb26 in a wrx.
This guy is a legend in the car community in Lancaster. every year he's at my family car show
This is absolutely fantastic, beautiful and clean. I'm in love with this build.
Ive been waiting for someone to fo this! Mad respect! Beautiful build! And so happy you put the gtr drive train unstead of just the motor to rear drive!
This is such a savage build ,the amount of work just to mount this would be a feat for most!!
This literally just gave me the best idea ever. Completely different swap for a nice build thank you.
This thing is absolutely nuts in person!
Wayyy more effort than I’d ever be willing to put into a build, good job!
Absolutely gorgeous and unique build 👌🏼👌🏼. Owners so humble too gotta love it 👍🏼
I was so happy when the WRX came to the USA! I got one in 2001 a 2002 WRX. I was never a fan of the hatchbacks/wagons BUT this is BY FAR one of the BEST I have ever seen! An RB in a WRX body wow! How hard and expensive was that swap?!?!
y'all really should show us the magic behind all of this,I love the shots
You cant hate on this car! Is awesome. as a former evo owner, i can appreciate your passion . Props to you buddy!
I've watched this numerous times.. yet I'm still equally entertained. Such an amazing project and video!
Guys like these are gods in this industry you have to know and understand every aspect of every single piece and if this works well with this and if those work well with these and what outcomes come out..these guys are so fucking inspiring
Was going to comment about how it didn't really need to be as mid engine as it is, but then I heard him say he kept the AWD,
HUGE props for that. Amazing build.
Looks so dope. There's a guy on instagram with a 2JZ swapped white hatchback just like this one. Definitely dream car material.
You guys deserve millions of subs.. Some of the best and most well done and well thought out content on UA-cam. Very emotional as well. Well done.
It does not matter what car it is, or what engine it has !!! this car is pure essence !!!! Good job!!!! 😎👍✌️🤘
