The Humulesti fairground is the successor of the old fairs that in Târgu Neamt, over time, kept moving, from the foot of the Neamt Fortess, to the current central area of the town, then to the outskirts, until it passed to the other bank of the Ozana in the neighboring village, Humulesti. If we talk about the ”obor”, that is, an animal fair, although now it has become a kind of bazaar, harnesses and accessories for horses are indispensable, especially since in the countryside, horse-drawn carts have not yet disappeared. The harnesses are made and brought precisely from Bistrita (220 km from Târgu Neamt). Mr. Lucian Georgescu introduces us to this special world and we learn about the tradition and the use of various types of harnesses and accessories for horses.
