Definitely. Uses space well
Love the wicker chairs idea.
Banquette pronounced bankette… Not banquet.
Yes! You'd think she'd have made sure she knew the correct pronunciation before looking either lazy or dumb.
Here in the UK we say it how it’s pronounced.
@@jaycarver4886that's was quite a rude remark. Yes, it would have made her sound more professional to learn the meaning and pronunciation, but tell me that you haven't said or done something's wrong in your life.
Fyi. It's a French word that isn't pronounced as English speaking people do. Which means that the vast majority of us adulter the pronunciation - unless you're French Canadian or Parisien.
You would be correct in saying that Banquette and banquet are not the same at all.
I think this is a good idea..I am working on designing one in my own home.
Have a small window seat in a corner have always wanted to do this
So many beautiful ideas!
Great options 👍🏽
Love!
Hi - interior design teacher here - Lovely video, but "banquette" is pronounced "bank-et". It's French, and it's the type of seating that you're talking about - a long fabric covered seat. "Banquet" is pronounced "bank-wet", and it means a feast, and banquet seating is just seating for a feast (probably chairs). I wouldn't usually say anything, but your entire video is based on a wrong definition of that word, and people in the industry will be very mean and condescending about it. Otherwise it was very well done!
Thank you for the clarification, for all of us. I want to do this in my future and smaller home. It has been so hard to remember the name of it, but your description has helped. 😊
I think it’s pronounced like “Ben” “cat”
Thank you so much!!! I think you are right
