You have one of the most concise fishing channels on YT, always questioning why you don't have more subscribers. Something is up with the YT algorithm!
Thanks Mark. I'm hoping the answer to that question is that I'm not posting enough videos. My goal is to post a LOT more this summer.
@Markawiz, I completely agree with your comments
Awesome job locating those big fish and having the patience to not set the hook too early!!!
Thanks Justin!
Fun video, Nick! Great tips as well. I always appreciate when you talk about the specifics of your gear and locational information. Those were some pig walleyes!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video and got some value.
So many hidden gems around the state. Really loving the videos brother.
Thanks man!
That 29” made the day!! Good bit of tips here!! Have to agree, night crawlers are king!!
She was a real dandy of walleye! Thanks for watching again Craig
Thanks Nick for another great video!❤️🎣
Thanks for following along again Evan
Nice tips- I can't believe how big those walleyes were in the middle of the day with no other boats in sight! Don't tell anyone the lake you were fishing!! Lol
I never will! Haha
what a day.. pretty sweet.. thanks for the information… always a great time..
Thanks Kipper. Catching big walleyes will never ever ever get old.
Awesome seeing you put them back home!
100%!
I appreciate the "net trip" during the excitement of the second hog. That's close to the action on my boat, only I would break the net, rod or leg. Lol
Haha luckily I was at least fairly nimble on this particular day 😆
Great video Nick!
Thanks man!
Nice fish Nick, doesn't the wind ever blow down there;)up here in Ottertail county I'm always fighting whitecaps and hurricane winds. Seem's in all your videos it's calmer than most peoples swimming pools.lol.
Trust me, it's been windy here! It was VERY windy this day, it's just hard to tell on video. Waves always look smaller in videos lol
👍👍 Surprised I wasn't subscribed, I just corrected that .
Much appreciated Curt
Nicky Big Fish strikes again!
😉
Al is grinning ear to ear.

***New Sub Here*** Those would be giants around here!! Thanks for sharing those tips..very informative..I'm excited to try and implement on my next trip!!!
They are giants around here, too! Haha
Ive got a 2022 lund fisherman 2075 on oneida lake NY- you sir can hop on anytime you want with these skills! Great fishin 🎉
Much appreciated! Good fishin 🎉
Thanks again for all the info Nick! I’m still learning about the Walleyes, lots to soak in and apply out on the open water!
One thing I was wondering because I have everything you explained… how long is your fluorocarbon leader for your 1/8th oz smeltanator with crawler set up?
Usually around 8 feet or so. I like it fairly long
@@NickLindner thanks man 👍🏼. That is long… glad I asked!
Wow!! What a GREAT day!!!
Heckuva day for sure!
How do you keep the gills off your crawlers
Honestly, my best answer is not throwing where the gills are. If you really want to fish around the gills though, true plastics or even leeches are better at not getting munched by gills
Uncle Joshes pork crawlers gills will hit them but cant get them off the hook.
Nice fish Nick
Thanks Scott!
Which bait are you you using
?
Jig and a nightcrawler
Do you think you would have as much success fishing if you didn’t have live scope and just using sonar
Of course not. I wouldn’t use it if I could catch as many without it. You can certainly catch some fish though with just 2D sonar. We used to do it all the time. The technique was called sharpshooting with vertical baits
I really like your video style, simple, to the point and filled with the info we need to catch more fish :)
And, don't take this wrong, but nice to see you finally got rid of that (stupid) mustache..
Hahahaha
You like worm harnesses and spinners?
I’m not trolling often, but spinners are for sure my favorite trolling tactic in summer.
nice fish nick
Thanks Rob!
What State and Lake are you fishing?
I’m in central MN
This channel has a serious lack of mustache content lately 😅
I know. It’s fallen off 😔
2024 Big Fish year for you
You’re not wrong!
🥦
🔥
you must be in canada
No sir! They look like Canadian fish though
So what's your PB walleye?
30” 11.55 pounder on Winnipeg
Keeping that 29.5" out of the water for well over a minute and not even show the release?
I kept it for dinner
The live shit is cheating. I like how good modern stuff has got but being able to read the lake and points and depth is what the old school is
I guess I'm pretty spoiled to with fishing northern Manitoba and northern Saskatchewan. So not as tuff as down south
Thanks for watching though, man. Sask is an amazing province for fishing. Fishing down here is a lot tougher with our heavily pressured fisheries.
Just add weights
Thanks for watching
You more than likely killed those 3 fish ,
And that was the reason for the famous mille lacs lake kill off of all those walleye's that were just short of 28" then you could keep one well i heard many people say 60-100 fish days without an eater fish in slot all being caught out on mud flats 27' magic number for us we did it one day easily 30 fish we caught all of them starving to death no bait left in the lake cause of so many walleye's nobody could keep, we met a guy at the boat ramp that was telling us he had dropped an aqua view down to see what was happening and he said after seeing the bottom all white with dead walleye's upside down on bottom dead from bringing them up from to deep of water he was sick that he had been a part of the death of that lake everyone was 200 boat days we counted the one day , if you saw a fish on the graph you caught that fish or it robbed your bait and the other guy in the boat caught it... Tragic to hear that from the guy we were done fishing after that day and regret not putting up a sign to warn everyone... Who knew?
Funny enough, I actually caught one of these fish a few weeks later. Catch & release works the vast majority of the time
