One piece of advice I heard was to put your passport/phone/wallet in your shoes the night before you leave rather than on the desk - near on impossible to leave them behind then as you have to put your shoes on to leave! Great vlogs, keep them coming 👍
Besides inspiring guitarists with his awesome chops, RJ really does a great job providing a view of the nuts and bolts reality of touring. Great job editing those videos too. BTW - Robert, I dig your channel too!
Anyone know if there’s a video from RJR on flying with guitars? I only travel with my guitars while vacationing here in the USA, and it’s always an adventure in a bad way.
I'm relatively new to your Gig Vlog videos, do you have one that details how you fly with your instruments and equipment? How does taking your guitars on the plane work? Thanks!
Nah that's smart man. Get your shit done the night before. That's a pro tip! It's what I tell my daughter (minus the "shit" part) when we travel. That way we get to enjoy our last morning wherever we are.
How do string bends sound and feel on the funky-fret guitars? Seems like it would be awkward? Great video again. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Happy New Year!
Most airlines will let you bring a gig bag on as carry on, as long as there is room. But it really depends on the airline and the attendants that are working that day.
This "True Temperament" fretting system is pretty amazing, as it compensates the excess of tension caused by pressing the strings between the frets. The only thing I'm still a bit reticent about is the relative "softness" of the alloy used for these frets. But, I guess that they'll soon find a solution to this and make their frets available in bulletproof material like stainless steel ... I mean, for the price of that system, paying a little more for "longevity" is quite normal, I think.

Loved being on stage with you during the gig! Enjoying your vlogs
Thanks for that amazing journey. Most important not to forget are the cords.
It's cool your videos have gear ads up front. Makes it easy to let them play through.
The best job in the world!! Thank you for sharing RJ!
Thank you RJ for sharing. Your videos are inspiring and fun to watch!

Cheers! @@RJRonquillo
I could really use those frets on the 6 string of my resonators. Nice.

Anders Thidell is the man, True Temperament rules all

True temperament seriously sounds awesomely in-tune, but yeah, I'd have to wave goodbye to my 1 1/2 step bends, that's for sure.
I was able to bend normally actually.
@@rickc2102 I've tried one, there's actually no difference in the bend feel at all
wAIT WHEN DID YOU PLAY IN STOCKHOLM OMG I LIve there and missed it im so dumb fack
This was back in October.
@@RJRonquillo oh well that's awkward.
Are you going to true temper any of your guitars?
I'm considering getting a neck for one of my Strats.
Who makes the wallet?
Interesting...........
how do you take a guitar on a plane, carry on rules ????

Should have hit Hellstone Music. Best vintage guitar store in Stockholm.
I wish I had more time in Stockholm, hopefully there will be a next time!

love how the blond to your left is plugging her ears for the ending......
Didn't notice that. Might be a speaker right next to her. It's a narrow venue.
Your age?
Older than I look lol.
