@@MillersMotors looking at doing this to my 1990 4runner 2.4d NA been waiting for the manifold its here now but wrong studs I need the one that all outlets go the same way if that makes sense.. still back to looking not easy to find in France Yours looks like it made a big difference.
@@garyford5536 it’s not easy to find, my manifold is actually for a 3L and I slotted the holes. I have seen people make a skinny adapter plate too. Good luck!
Is it still going all good with the turbo setup? Do you find hills easier? Not chopping through gears as much or its it same? I was thinking of turbo my 2.8 hilux. Ln106.
Thanks, yeah just drove about 50 miles today of hills, Still not super fast but I don't have to hang out in 3rd like I used to. I need to do an update vidjeyo
you need to add an oil supply and drain, so if you dont have a turbo now likely you have to drill and fit a return fitting to the oil pan. you would also need a manifold to adapt to the turbo
I haven’t had the fuel pump off.. it’s the original 9mm uncompensated setup, I did replace the nozzles. EGTs are 1100f max before the turbo ,cruises around 600-800 at 70mph
@@ZuluGoatHerder By nozzle I mean inside the injector body there is a precision valve and seat that is sometimes called the nozzle. I changed it to an identical set as original but new, it is critical maintenance when doing upgrades like this or you will have imbalanced amounts of fuel in each cylinder. They wear over time and will leak or spray poorly
@@sterlingmakara running 285/75/16 ( 33’s) and 4.56 which are factory ratio now but in the video those are 31’s I recognized your setup from h8mud you’ll love it when you get a turbo on
@@nathanstech7888 it is higher than that, this is a TD04-15g which has a max ratio of about 2.8; so under 30 should be good! Plenty of people running this same setup
Thats so sick
The down pipes for the td04 setup is a real pain to make haha
I wish I made the angle tighter, my clutch master cylinder doesn't care for the heat sometimes!
Sounds exactly like my isuzu 3.1 td
I was seriously tempted to turbo my 97 2wd 2.4 is this a standard 2.4 with a turbo ? Or factory 2.4td
Stock 2L that was NA originally. Using only a different exhaust manifold

will it bolt right to the stock manifold or will you have to make an adapter plate?
I made an adapter using 2 flanges and an elbow piece
Beast!!!
what are the main things you used to turbo i am looking at turboing mine with parts from a 1kz

it was about 28psi full tootin, just under 30..

yea still good, turned the boost to 25 psi.. needs a clutch next!

I have it fuel limited to 25 now and once I get my clutch changed I may try to see if it will make 30
