ainge unlike bird and mchale made the finals with 2 other teams in the 90's...3 times...he was more of a floor general than given credit for..and his defense was solid a lot like Mario Chalmers with a better iq imo

I’m a cavs fan but I’ve loved witnessing this rebuild. Always interesting and clearly looks like it’ll work out very well. Lots of moments where you’re like “wtf are they doing?” yet they knew what they were doing the whole time. Great rebuilding Celtics, respect 👌🏻

I like the KD/Harden idea. Also do the rise and fall of the Clippers like getting CP3, DJ, Blake, JJ and them all leaving. Idk how good of a video that is but it might be interesting

OKC/Seattle from getting Durant to releasing Melo/keeping PG13 would be a great vid. I really like these videos, man. Keep it up. Other ideas: Dwight Howard bouncing around from team to team (you can start with him demanding a trade from Orlando); the Bulls from drafting Derrick Rose to trading Jimmy Butler to the Wolves (and maybe show Rose, Taj, and Deng subsequently joining the Wolves too). Also, the Knicks under Phil Jackson - all the questionable moves and sound bytes between him and Melo, KP not showing up to his exit interview leading to rumors about trading KP... lots of stuff there.

It is very big, cause it made Smart had more playing time and Morris can play decent D.

Actually, it was. Morris helped the team better and he was not just a role player, but an important 3 and D player to the team. Meanwhile, Bradley sucked in the Pistons.
And don't forget that trade also brought Baynes to the Celtics, he is a great contributor for the team and play some TOUGH defense down low. And now he's even hitting threes more often than not

Unrelated to your video and just reflecting on what Charles Barkley said at the end of the video, "They took Cleveland to 7 games without Gordon Hayward or Kyrie. It's all about the Boston Celtics now." Just don't forget that the Pacers did that too with Victor Oladipo as their best player. Don't forget about them. The Pacers are legit in the East and are also contenders to make it to the finals.

As a diehard Celtics fan I enjoyed this video however I was displeased there was zero mention of the Joel Anthony trade that landed a pick for Deyonta Davis which was flipped for a 2019 lottery protected Clippers pick, the Tyler Zeller trade that landed them the Cleveland 16 pick which was flipped with Thornton acquired in the deal for Isaiah, moving Bogans from the KG deal for Powell (dealt in the Rondo trade), and getting two picks used on Nader and current Celt Kadeem Allen. Also trading Wright from the Rondo deal to acquire the pick for Semi Ojeleye (and Zade R dealt for the 19 Clippers pick), trading Green for Rivers (traded for players and the pick for Bird :/) taking on a 2020 Miami pick for cutting Dragic's salary and using that towards the Kyrie trade. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful you did an amazing job with a lot of hard work put into this I'm very OCD when it comes to my Celts and how Ainge has built this team piece by piece to contend for the next decade! I'm glad to be a subscriber and hope to see you grow to a top sports channel in UA-cam.
I also would have liked to see the Marcus Morris trade in there since that was a big deal for last year and this coming season.
Since the rebuild isn't over yet also some of the other trades to get some of the future assets they still have coming. Like trading Jeff Green to the Grizzlies for a 1st rounder that will convey between 2019-2021 depending on the how the protections shake out (unprotected in 2021 if it goes that long) and the 2016 draft day trade with the Grizzlies that got them the Clippers lottery protected pick that Memphis got when they traded LAC... JEFF GREEN!
I'm with you that overall it was a very good illustration of most of the biggest moves the C's have made.
There have just been SO MANY moves that Ainge has made that I see how it would be tough to put in all the ones you had and the ones I mentioned too and keep it a reasonable length.
Sometimes I forget we have the Grizzlies and Clippers picks too. Danny Ainge is just insane

The success in the rebuild wasn't in the home runs (tough they were important) but in the little deals, like getting picks for accomadating shedded salaries from Cleveland; asking for Crowder in the Dallas deal; dozens of small trades (for Green, for Joel Anthony, for Doc) that created the assets that made other trades and deals possible. Danny Ainge deserves huge credit for always being on the look out for a good deal.

HERE WE GO!! Did you notice no tanking? The process was compete & stockpile assets (thank goodness Justise Winslow is not on this roster). Obviously the Nets heist was #1 in the rebuild, but don’t underestimate the importance on Stevens! A lot of players have had career years under him. He’s gotten consistent maximum effort from teams that didn’t have high expectations. That in turn helped get Horford & Haywood here. They’ve been learning how to win over the last 4 years!
Not trying to lose & expecting to flip an imaginary switch to become winners. Some teams regularly give draft picks red-shirt years just to get higher picks. Those same teams also wonder why #1 overall picks expect to be red-shirted! Poor Fultz thinks he’s trusting the process on his way to a paid 1 year vacation (like all before him had) only to find out NOW they want me to actually play my rookie year!! He was so baffled he literally forgot how to shoot a basketball!!

I disagree. They didn't have much talent, but that team tried it's ass off. More to the point Stevens played his whole roster. They didn't give their more talented players a year off. Guys like Avery Bradley, Rondo and Kelly Olynyk were playing big minutes down the stretch.
PatsDynasty Nah in 2013-14 they didnt tank, they just werent good lmfaoo. Teams like the Sixers intentionally lost games, which is tanking during the process years. Celtics always played hard, they just didnt have talent and just ended up losing games.

They somehow get the 3 seed and take Lebron to 7 games in the conference finals without their two stars a couple years later.
And now they’re back in the conference finals with Tatum and Brown developing into stars, and without Hayward again.

Amazing video, but something thats heavily overlooked is when we traded away Nate Robinson and Kendrick Perkins in 2011 for Jeff Green of OKC. We were heavy title favorites that year and after that trade the team never looked the same again. That exact year OKC picked up Kendrick Perkins took them to the NBA finals that year. He a joke now, but he really was a defensive juggernaut in the paint back in the day. And Nate Robinson was no joke off the bench.
