Thank you for this information. I knew to reset back to factory defaults but I did not know about the deregister. I will be doing both once I purchase the new Firestick.
A factory reset will reset your Firestick to factory settings, including removing your account. There is no need to deregister first.

You can also factory reset the Firestick with the remote by doing the following: Press and hold the Back button and the right side of the navigation circle together for 10 seconds.

Ha. I suppose. They really are so cheap, but it seems a waste to toss the old ones. So I’m still likely to pass them on. The right way.
when I upgraded to a 4k stick, I decided to offer my previous stick, i didn't deregister, because the recipient's my mother. I did change apps for her liking, but had I wanted to sell or pass to anyone else, I would've indeed done that + full reset. Thank you for confirming these important details!

I have the same fire stick and I can’t get the mouse table to work I try everything, different ones turning them off on rebuilding the Fire Stick. I’ve done it all, also, Diggs I have no channels TV guide come in and Every time I update the PBR next time when I open it they still don’t come in. Do you have any tips you can give me thank you.

So if I order a stick as a gift for someone and just side load the apps without any additional data given. Then de-register the stick, they will have those pre side loaded apps and just log into their account and the apps will still be there?

how slow is the wifi when atlas vpn is on?
My speed test results today when connected via 5 GHz wi-fi:-
No VPN - 63.37 Mbps
Atlas VPN connected to UK server - 63.44 Mbps
My Firestick gone a teensy bit wonky Tanya...the dialogue/picture/subtitles are out of sync.
I noticed it with Bee TV... would there bee (sorry) a reason, or do you think a simple delete and reload would do the trick??

@@cumshot247 Do you mean out of sync? Open the Subtitle menu and you can increase or decrease the subtitle delay.
@@FireTVSticks I do... but every couple of minutes, it's 10 sec off again. And it only adjusts up to about 60 seconds or so.

Just delete the apps your logged into then sale it
If you sell it but do not deregister or factory reset, the Firestick will still be logged in to your Amazon account. It is recommended to deregister at the very least, but factory reset is best.
