NathanDrums cg is lucky they got tom honestly, i love cg and i’m not saying they aren’t talented, but tom could’ve joined a band with more gutturals and highs you know? like their newest album is more metalcore than deathcore, while in lorna shore it was all deathcore.
Would be cool to see Alex rejoin or guest appear and have both these dudes screaming on stage. This would allow them to each give their voices a rest during the show, not damage it as much, and would ultimately allow them each to sound their best. Tom and Alex are both beasts.
Like he is saying God’s judgment will reign and I will be waiting to torment you for all eternity... The blackness in your heart is what led you to me. I hope you had a good time living your life because it is now over and you are mine. The stench of our blackness attracted those demons that led to our demise, and it all started with the snake. This is some brutal stuff. It feels so much more than just playing some music. It is actually kind of scary.
@@jordanrunningh Dude are you fucking serious ? Those aren't even the lyrics. Hell the lyrics are far more different from that. This isn't black metal my dude. The song doesn't reference anything religious or satanic.
@@jordanrunningh CG is one of my favorite deathcore bands I find their approach really interesting where most go for speed or they get chug boring, CG is creative with their slow chugs. I would say Recreant is probably more about a brother or a former best friend where you feel you were there for that person went through a lot of shit down for whatever then that person stabs you in the back, throws you under the bus and acts like you are the one to blame and they turn their back on you. This is from the album Desolation of Eden though and some songs are explicitly about examining belief in God and the Devil, destroying that belief structure and denouncing believing in the fantasy of Heaven and Hell entirely. Sonnet of the Wretched is one of my favorite tracks from them I just like the sound and groove it has to it. I actually don't find CG very scary but I admit when I read the lyrics to sonnet of the wretched it is a little unnerving since I am a believer and it interacted with the dogma within me in the past. I don't find much deathcore scary at all, it's intended to sound angry and imposing on the outside but these people are alive, they go through shit, air out their grievances and come to new conclusions later in life. Listening to CG or anyone else doesn't mean you have to "align" with the message, people need to read the lyrics and evaluate the meaning on a deeper sense instead of just listening to the aggressive sound of instruments and making up some black metal meaning that isn't there.
Rusty Juice All valid! They were one of my favorite bands too but at a point in time my life fell apart and I called out to whoever this God might be and Jesus came in my waking life at a perfect time. Ever since then I have been led by the Holy Spirit, and I see into the spirit when he allows me. For me its not about comparing it to a doctrine but seeing with my own eyes the presence they carry. For me its not about doctrine but relationship. Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Father our persons and desire relationship. It blew my mind when the Holy Spirit started talking to me. My temple is for the trinity alone. As much as I loved this band I only have ears for Christ. I respect your viewpoint though it was interesting but I operate in the spirit, and I mean this as respectfully as possible I don’t expect it to be understood through logical means. I simply sense the devil’s influence in their music but I’m not condemning anyone for listening to it. I simply just don’t listen to them anymore.
Can we get a remaster of recreant with the new vocalist? He seriously is a monster

Has this band ever talked about the inspiration of this album?
This whole album really feels like Satan himself is speaking to the people.
