"I'm gonna cut out your heart and take it to my father!" ..... "The dragon don't even believe you!" LOL!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
little tid bit for you, vikings were actually pretty clean people compared to other cultures of the time. Obviously nothing like how we are today, but they bathed often and took great pride and care for their hair (and beards lol).
They do alway have luxurious hair and beards lol
@@J_EOMReacts You can also see beautiful braids in them too
Which is why my little Brother loves Vikings more than Knights
Yeah I think people confuse the Nordic with the British.. British when they went to the places they stole, were greeted with incense because they smelled like shit 🤢
@@vrod9686 yup. Upper class smelled like death
This is one of my favorite Dreamworks movies. Funny enough in the book series this is based, it's not killing a dragon that proves your worth in that village, it's training a dragon. Toothless was so hard to train it made Hiccup a laughing stock. But it's like real domesticated animals: the more intelligent they are the harder they are to train.
I didn’t know these was based off books
@@J_EOMReacts How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. The films and series have a lot of differences but they're both great in their own right. Astrid is a movie invention, though.
Book Toothless is hysterical. Made me laugh so many times.
The books were so good too and I couldn't find any other book series that felt the same way.
@@J_EOMReacts All the Audiobooks are free and are on youtube.
"Man, Khaleesi ain't got shit on him." If I wasn't already subscribed, that sequence/reaction/phrase would have won me over.
That’s good to know I was able to win you over twice
If you think Hiccup is a bad name to have....
His full name is: Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III.
That’s a horrible name 🤣🤣🤣
@@J_EOMReacts naa it's horrendous.
@@J_EOMReacts and snotlouts name is actually Snonface Snotlout
DreamWorks Animation actually studied how cats move and behave to animate Toothless. All his behavior is accurate to a feral cat that's slowly learning to trust a human, then learning to enjoy the comforts a symbiotic relationship with a human can give. For example: the human brings a feral cat food, the cat becomes willing to approach the human and eventually trusts in the routine that the human will provide food. The "pettiness" was also observed in several cats they studied- they noticed cats could hold grudges against the humans if they broke from their normal routine (like when Astrid followed Hiccup and then flew with them). The shoulder, leg, head, ear, eye and tail movements are also animated movements from films of cats. They also consulted cat behavioral specialists etc. Always gotta give DreamWork (and Pixar) props for how incredibly thorough they are
" LOL at your comment about Astrid "She's abusive. " 😂
🤣🤣🤣
This movie, Prince of Egypt, and Lilo and Stitch are my favorite animated movies. Thanks so much for the reaction 😊
I never seen those and I use to date a girl back in college that loved Lilo and Stitch but I would never watch it
Ok, please explain to us exactly what a “wet donkey, baked in a microwave” smells like….. I’ll wait. 😂
A great film. It'll always have a special place in my heart. Not because of the film (although there is no denying it's a great film). But because this film came to be known in my family as, How to train your mother-in-law. Was the only film I EVER found that made her quiet.
🤣🤣🤣
Little background...
The author of the book this was taken from was involved with the creation of the film. The book ending didn't have Hiccup being "disabled" at the end, and commended the filmmakers with crafting a better ending than they had envisioned.
All three are great. I have a soft spot for this one because it was one of the first movies I watched with my grandson when he was 4 or 5. Toothless is a great mix of a dog and a cat. I've got both and they all have some of his characteristics. Just a really strong series of movies. Thanks for the reaction!
Much appreciated. He's def gonna watch all three and film his reaction regardless, I just hope people on here want to see them. Def one of the better trilogies out there.
I definitely see the dog side of Toothless bc him and Drogo remind me of him so much
11:48 actually they are words 🙂 probably either Long Branch or Short Twig, types of Runic writing used by Vikings back in the day - even used today by many of those who practice witchcraft or Norse Paganism 💕
My boy Jay said he can’t drive, without telling us he can’t drive.
“I’ve been to traffic school 4 times” 😂
All for speeding lol - J
I haven't seen the third one, but I love the first two. Great movies. Love the reactions, J. Look forward to more.
Highly recommend the third. It’s amazing.
When he said, “Those are not words,” as a matter of fact, they are words, they are the language you you would use in the time period, and if carefully translated, they will actually spell words.
I figured they was real words bc Dreamworks and Disney/Pixar does really well as keeping things pretty accurate when they can
"SAVE THE FUCKING DRAGON" Raw emotion haha
Lol they wasn’t doing it quick enough
If you like this, see Rescuers Down Under. You will looooooove that shit. John Candy so good in it
Fun fact, Vikings were despised... for their good hygiene and constantly stealing other people's women because the had their hair combined and nails clean XD
He took her to a dragon ride, now she's in love lol
🤣🤣🤣
This is one of those movies where people going in will think 'why is it so highly rated' and when you finish it 'holy shit i should have watched this long ago'
You should do more animated movies amigo. Great video as always an I thank you so much for being you and doing what you do
Def planning on it. The rest of this franchise and Shrek 1-2 are the ones probably coming next.
@@EOMReacts you should react to httyd series riders of berk defenders of berk and race to the edge in that order they take place just after first movie before second movie it'll be worth it awesome dragons and villains and more of the side characters like astrid snotlout stoick etc
I wore this movie out the whole time I was pregnant! Love it and you! If you don't want to ride a dragon, maybe Buckbeak then?? 😉😁💜
Lol I would ride Buckbeak no questions asked.
One of my top 5. I have to watch it every time it comes on TV.
Beautiful movie. Special effects were having a moment with this and Avatar.
Agree 100%
Great reaction! You are hilarious! Btw, the Vikings were very clean for their time. They combed their hair and beards everyday and bathed once a week at a time when the English (Anglo Saxons) only bathed twice a year. The Anglo Saxon men hated the Vikings that came to trade because their wives kept running off with the much better groomed and better smelling Vikings :-) The Vikings actually found the English to be disgustingly dirty.
I never knew they was considered clean like that but now that I think about it they are either super model clean or covered in blood when I seen pics of them
Dreamworks has some great animation in their catalogue, and the HtTYD series stands among them. Before they went full CGI, Dreamworks used to blend 2D & 3D. Check out their work in the hilarious Road to El Dorado and the poignant Prince of Egypt. Both have incredible soundtracks and gorgeous animation.
The Dad's voice is Gerard Butler. Gobber's voice is Craig Ferguson of the old Late, Late Show.
So the book actually does have words in it, those letters are the traditional runic alphabet of old Norse. Funny enough the producers actually had someone who knew icelandic write out the dragon descriptions then convert it to the proper runes
That’s dope
And fans translated it to learn it's the same 10 paragraphs over and over again.
I'm impressed! Those looked like actual Viking words written in the real Runic alphabet.
If you watch Game of Thrones, you'll see live-action dragon riding.
I love game of thrones
I love that his swear sensors are always something from the movie he's watching...
Hi 🙋...
I saw this on cable many years ago..but after your 50 movie rating I thought I would revisit your #1 pick...
Have a great week...🌿🌿🌿
I hope you enjoyed and I hope you do the same
How to Train Your Dragon movie series are all excellent!
I’m excited to see the rest
J I promise you the 3rd film is the happiest out of all of them. Love your channel and can see the growth!❤ Keep up the good work. Your attention to detail is great
Your reactions are some of my favorites
That makes me happy to know that. I truly appreciate that
The brief shot of Stoic's face after he tells Hiccup "youre not my son" is amazing. The animation of the emotional weight of the moment hitting Stoic surpasses any single shot from Disney in the last decade
Before your votes go primarily to Patreon consider The Rundown. (2003)
(Because im broke i cant do the Patreon right yet, but one of these days I'll get it!)
The Rundown with the Rock I’ve already seen. Unless there is another one you talking about.

@@J_EOMReacts that was the one I was talking about, dang lol
I find you and your videos so comfy and cozy
Viking actually bathed a Lot more than people think
That’s wild to me. I’ve never read up on them or anything but they always shown as to be just savages that don’t care. Like their hair is always luxurious though
Lets go! This is my favorite movie of all the time! I hope you will react on all 3 of them.
He’s def gonna get to the other two.
Lol those words in the book is called runes. It's one of the oldest written alphabets. They're still used today for Norse Paganism and other things
Coming back to this one since it’s your #1 pick from your top 50 vids yesterday. 🙌
Lol I came back to it myself
Keep it up cuz ur doing good
I appreciate that cuz.
just found your channel and already love you so much! Such a beautiful person adn wish you nothing but the best!
Welcome to the family!
Great reaction to a great film, looking forward to the second one! Won't be checking for #3 since I haven't had the chance to watch that film yet, but I'm definitely hoping to see some Kung Fu Panda turn up sometime!
And actually, if you haven't seen it and it's not on a list, Pixar's _Coco_ would be an excellent and uplifting option right after Halloween when you need a break from the scary stuff that'll probably fill up your schedule then. I'm a big fan of animation too, grew up with Disney and Looney Tunes and I've always loved it as an art form, and although I miss traditional cell animation being more prevalent, I've really enjoyed watching it develop with computers. In fact, I have a feeling you've seen _Into the Spider-verse_ but I kinda hope you haven't just so it can turn up as a reaction, it's such a fun story with amazing artwork.
I just got done watching this movie for the first time. Such a great movie. Watched how this was your #1....sucks I missed out on it for so long. Now I'm definitely picking up a 'Toothless' costume for my cat 😆
Toothless is amazing
@@J_EOMReacts just finished 2, and 3. So enjoyable with the feels, the cgi gets even better, and definitely ended amazingly. What a fun ride!!
Loved the reaction😃
I’m glad you enjoyed
Please, please watch the audition with Toothless and Kit Harrington (Jon Snow.) Watch the 4:56 version. Very fun.
There's a short Christmas special set after the movie: Gift of the Night Fury.
Lol Im have to check that out too
Such a great movie. I saw this in the theater & it was really moving.
Edit: the sequels are good. You’ll enjoy them.
This is an amazing movie. I’m looking forward to watching them
A great movie. A great reaction.
Greatly appreciate it
Love the film. Enjoyed the next two. Gerard Butler as Stoick with his real Scottish accent.
I can’t wait to watch the next too
How about *"Blast From the Past"* ?
(1999)
My dad and I for the last 12 years since I was 10 and we first saw this movie that “alright good talk” scene we recreate all the time especially if a convo goes silent my dad gives that super excited big eyes look like he does then goes alright good talk 😂😂
These movies are so sweet. ❤️
Blank, plz tell us ‘Rudy’ is on the list?
It is. There's not a ton of sports movies on his list, but that's one of them.
@@EOMReacts I cant wait!
Hey Kim!!! YES RUDY!!!! 😎🏈🍀
@@BigPete44 We out here, Pete! 👍👏👏👏
Forgot how much I loved this. Reminds me when my kids were young.
your weren't scared you did a strategic defensive jump
"Reign of Fire" -a movie with Gerard Butler, Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey, where they are fight dragons in near future. Consider reacting!
My editor Blank loves that movie. I know that’s definitely on the list
This is one of my favorite series imo all 3 movies are great.
This is such a good movie! Glad you loved it!
Toothless is my spirit animal Lol
My man!! 👊🏽…
- THE TOWN (2010)
- PRISONERS (2013)
- GONE GIRL (2014)

YES!
Seriously the best reaction this had me laughing so hard😂😂😂
Much appreciate that
A very nice reaction. And this is definitely one of the movies that are on my top5 movies. ❤ have seen this movies in Swedish a loot of times and only one time plus this two times in English.❤ Fun facts about vikings they actually didn’t hade horns on there helmets.
5th time through traffic school, you're the teacher.
Lol I still talk to the instructor to this day
Hello from Pensacola 🎉
👋🏻
Imagine the first thing you did as a newborn and that's what your family names you after! That's probably why they named him Hiccup. A tribe thing
Hey man don’t sweat it everyone shits themselves when Toothless shows up outta nowhere 😂
The franchise has grown ever since this 2010 film , christmas special, short specials and 8 seasons of TV ( 2 in cartoon network and the rest of the 6 seasons at Netflix❤ ) , the TV series also helps in the storytelling side of things because there will be a lot of changes when you eventually watch "How To Train Your Dragon 2"❤
Part 2 coming in a few weeks
I love this movie, and I enjoyed watching you watch it. The trilogy is universally hailed as amazing, but ngl, I heard it was sad, and nobody's paying me to watch movies, so I've never seen the third one. Also I pretend the second one doesn't exist. They did have a few TV series based on this continuity, when Hiccup is a little bit older. In one of those episodes, you understand why dragons were scared of eels - there exist humongous versions of eels that could easily kill a dragon, if it could catch one. Anyway, glad you took the time to give this one a watch; it's magical.
Other suggestions: Kung Fu Panda (all three of them), and Megamind. Btw, I'm subbed now :)
Welcome to the family and I’m looking forward to finishing this series bc this movie is amazing. And thank you for the input on the eels bc it was something I was wondering about
Welcome to the family!
You should watch “Without a paddle “ so funny
Good Halloween movies are
13 Ghost
Others with Nicole Kidman
Have you seen Gattaca 1997 or No Way Out 1987? Good movies.
Have to check but I’m pretty sure both are on the list. Especially Gattaca.
Fun fact, for the time vikings were known for being very clean
That honestly blows my mind
@@J_EOMReacts they were so clean the English forbade their women from going near them for fear they would run off
@@Piterdeveirs333 and then massacred many of them using that as a justification instead of just...bathing
You should check out Encanto!!! A great animated movie
It’s def on his list. He’s got a few big animated ones we’re going to get to.
There also 2 series based on this movie, DreamWorks dragons: Riders of Burke and DreamWorks dragons: race to the edge. Both are great
You should react to Brave if you haven't seen it yet. And Spirit Stallion Of The Cimarron. And the movie Dragonfly with Kevin Costner. And Delores Claiborne with Kathy Bates & Jennifer Jason Leigh. And Man On Fire with Denzel Washington & Dakota Fanning.
Def on the list.
All three of these were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised
Same. One of those trilogies that simply doesn't have a bad movie.
I’m excited to watch the rest
Toothless is supposedly based of one of the animators cats I believe.
19:44 That's what is refereed to in the veterinary field as a "BD:LD" Big Dog, Little Dog. They aren't as funny in real life. Pretty bad sometimes....
Thats a really good movie.
It’s amazing
5:30 I'm pretty sure scorpions and arablests came from medieval times
That makes bc it look like other weapons they had then
@@J_EOMReacts exactly. I don't think game of thrones invented it.. you can see them in lord of the rings, and in real life china. Called a hwacha just saying. Don't think it was game of thrones lol. Maybe I'm drunk.
I think Loony toons and anime like Statblasers back in the changed a mentality.
watch the tv series, it also is damned good
I’m have to check it out
Hey y'all

Ayo sus comment
the writing in the dragon book the not words, are called runes itis a language.
All books and movies where some one tames and/or rides a dragon are, IMO, inspired by the Dragonriders of Pern novels by Anne McCaffrey, which is one of the best sf/f series ever. To me, it's up there with Lord of the Rings, Dune, Narnia, whatever belongs on the top level, S Rank, of sf/f. I don't think the fantasy trope of a world of dragons and dragon riders was ever done better than what she did. But, yeah, this movie is "dope as hell." But if you have not read McCaffrey's books, do yourself a favor and read them.
2 is good too. I nvr saw 3.
They had a NTFLX series too. Supp to be between the movies.
I’m looking forward to seeing the rest
The third one is really good. Highly recommend it.
Aww. Hell to the yeah! Toothless made me reconsider my top best mythical creature I'd like to be friends with. Like if I was a wizard or something.
He grabbed my top spot the first time I saw this. LoL
Toothless is the Goat
I love how DreamWorks create their dragons. No one knows how real dragons are supposed to act but mashing cat, dog and bird was GENIUS!
Love❤
Bartok
Cheap direct to video movie, but talented voice actors. Ties in to John Wick culturally. But a fun ride with few other video commentaries out there.
This is one I missed in my travels, but I intend to get around to it.
Highly recommend it.
@@EOMReacts I'm catching it with you now. I just watch the northman and my god is it a fantastic movie. Hollywood doesn't like it cuz it's all white people, but vikings came from the caucuses. Where white people come From. I don't think it's racist to be historically accurate. I can't remember any black Nazis. Even though there is black Germans nowadays. just enjoy the movie and don't get all offended on other people's behalf amirite?
Will you be watching how to train your dragon 3
Should definitely check out "Avatar the Last Airbender" the series not the God awful movie lol
That’s something I been looking forward to watching

Thank you I am.
Have you seen " Lilo & Stitch "? A musician that I found out about in 2018 has a nick name. It is " Chiptchpi " formally. " Chippi " for short. Anyways, the nick name is divided into three parts: " Chip " after chips, I'm not sure which kind. TH " tch " is for " Stitch " of " Lilo & Stitch ". The final " pi " is for pink. Anyways to fully understand the nick name, I have to watch " Lilo & Stitch ". Are you going to watch it?
