  • "In honor and in memory of the men of the United States Marine Corps who have given their lives to their country since November 10, 1775."
The United States Marine Corps War Memorial represents this nation's gratitude to Marines and those who have fought beside them. While the statue depicts one of the most famous incidents of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in defense of the United States since 1775.
This film brings together diverse first-person voices inspired by the monument and what it represents and provides an emotional testimony to what it means to be a marine. The film honors those who have given their lives to their country, as well the sacrifices made by all veterans and their families.
The U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial does not have a visitor center and these two films were produced for online and tour bus distribution. The films provide context for visitors and provide a connection to the memorial for those who cannot visit in person.
