Hi nathan nice content, coming from a C1 driver it’s vital you move if they don’t merge correctly on slip roads, not worth the hassle and as my TM always says if you don’t move you’re the cause of the potential accident.

Hi mate, I signed up for agencies by going on to their websites and their vacancy pages and applied for a specific vacancy, agencies like ‘Driver Require’ or ‘Driver Hire’ may have an office local to you, if they think they can fit you in for work they’ll ring you up and arrange to meet and scan your documents and contact you a week or so later with work. It may start off a bit hit or miss but eventually with experience they will keep giving you work and some companies may offer you a temp to perm role with them. Or just look in indeed for companies hiring new passes.. unsure what ones do though.
So the procedure is as follows: • go on the government website, search something like get HGV license • apply for a provisional, select the relevant catagories (HGV, bus, etc) • print out medical form and get a medical complete with doctor • send medical and provisional application form to DVSA • when the provisional is added to your license you can book the three theory tests… hazard perception, main theory and driver CPC module • undertake physical driver training at an approved place, this can be found online • pass the physical elements, including CPC parts… on road test, off road manoeuvre and vehicle check / CPC competency Once passed you have your license.. alternatively you can do an apprenticeship or go through a company you work for (some companies offer internal routes).
