Wedding Dress Baby Blanket

What to do with your wedding dress that you have kept in a closet, or the attic or maybe still at your mother's house? How about turning it into a quilt for your grandchildren? Sure it may get all stained up from the babies. But it will be such a great family treasure instead of a memory hidden away from view.

I’m wanting to do this for my best friend with my bridesmaids dress from her wedding! Any tips for working with the silky fabric?

That sounds fun! Be sure to use a new Sharp needle and use lots of pins to hold the fabric in place. Check your iron temp on a sample piece of fabric. And make a plan before you start, you can't get any extra fabric. I would love to see your finished quilt. I have a FaceBook page with the same name, 1 Mo Project, where you can post a picture.

It needs interfacing to strengthen the fabric
