- Hi everyone and welcome back once again - this time from Formula Drift Salt Lake City! A new track for me and it was a big challenge not only for me but for all teams! High elevation meaning less power, big corners and a lot of grip we had to make many adjustments in a very short space of time!
I was so happy to get P1 in qualifying but unfortunately our event ended in top 16 after making a silly mistake battling Chris Forsberg. This is Motorsport and I’m

Shit happens. You were killing it out there. As a proud American, I respect anyone who shows pride in the country their from. Connor killed it, I watched start to finish. I prefer DMEC over FD. I just like the rules and the announcers kill it everytime. No big commercials over and over and over. It goes so much faster, they don't waste time, the judges are on point, all around better product
I fully agree. Granted DMEC has Red Bull money, but FD really needs to make so changes
@@toddbrown4185 Surely there's way more money fired at FD, in this video alone I counted 3 energy drink sponsors and likely missed some others. I think FD has way too much sponsorship, the commentators spend half the time listing their names rather than actually commentating. There's no manufacturers championship in DMEC either, just cars people liked and built/had built. I love it for that as the field is so random. I'm sure Kalle Rovanperä has likely been given a Supra (or got it very cheap) by Toyota as a base but then he is a Works WRC driver and a World Champion in his discipline. FD takes itself way too seriously. DMEC seems like it's been put out there to please the spectators, not the sponsors which is how it should be.
I agree with you guys 100%. I can't watch FD because the constant ad-reads drive me insane, I don't think I've heard any other ads in DMEC apart from the huge redbull can lmao
You know what I agree with that 100% I can't argue at all. I always bounce back and forth but I kept up with DMEC see a lot more this season. of course that's because of drift games, Dave is an awesome guy. I watch FG because I like drifting but I'm partial to rtr. I just legitimately like that group of guys

The DMEC round at Ferropolis where he scored a 100 point qualifying run is an all time great IMO.
No way you should have got at least a OMT with that chase. That agreesiveness is literally what formula drift misses this days, only a few drivers got that but none get close to your level. Would love to see you rip this track all the way to the podium! Keep ripping dude🤘

Deane no doubt had been running the hardest all competition. Good to know what happened in the last battle.
I was in the grandstands (and streaming DMEC, congrats Conner!), as soon as I saw the tire drop I thought car problem. None of your runs from practice to that point went off, your consistency was insanely great and easily in the top performers. You've won Irwindale before and you can do it again!

James, I am surprised that drifters don't run the visors that the fire fighters use to see through smoke...it's a variant of the thermal vision camera.

I think part of it is cost and I don’t think you can put that on a race helmet
When you are out in front or on your opponents door smoke is less of a problem, that’s where he is most of the time! It amazes me how they time the transitions through the smoke line tho.

It would be an easy championship win if James drove his eurofighter.
I totally understand what means FD (no budget stress, no expenses from your own), but the level, the commitment, the spectacle in DMEC is now at a new level, way superior of FD. It is lovely to see you in that RTR machine, but in my opinion the american style it doesn't suit you. You are a modest and nice person, and this team is not appreciating you as they should. I hope you don't take this as an offense, actually it is a compliment. Anyway keep up the good work, nice drifting and our entertaining. Best of lock in the last venue...
You clearly don't know what you are talking about, like no offense but you shouldn't act like you know the RTR team or even comprehend them and how they treat others, but even than we can clearly see how they treat each other and the drivers, the literal fact that they dedicated a whole Mustang to be right hand drive specifically for James is a big deal in itself and shows they care and appreciate him, what gives you the idea that they don't is beyond me.
Chris definitely let off multiple times in and outer zone 2 and 3 causing you to dive in every time and the smoke trail from him is obvious
