Great in depth review- thank you very much. I’m looking for a good intermediate classical and there is a 30 Takamine available about 100 miles drive and wondered about it. Thanks again and best wishes for a happy new year
Hello Neil, very grateful for your Presentations and explanations always. By the way, you didn't do any Asturias. I'm especially got interested in Matano period and models. Kind of confused between A5, C8. Which is higher model? They changed the numbering at some moment? Difficult even to find sound tests I'd say. Would be very nice of you. Cheers!
Yes, I must make videos for the Asturias and the Matano. I’ve been away for too long I must get back to tending my guitar channel. The C8 is higher grade than the A5. Cheers.
@@JackChessa Hi Jack, if you watched some of my videos about the Takamine, I may have mentioned that the higher the top end model and the quieter they are. I was very surprised myself until I compared them side by side. The high end models are more quiet but have a more detailed tone. How interesting….. 🤔
What Japanese vintage classical guitar from the 1970s would you say has the highest value to affordability ratio? Not looking to spend more than $1k as I’m only an intermediate player. I’m very partial to Yamaha guitars, but am interested in Takamine as well. Yamaha gc-5 and gc-7 is on the top of my list currently. Thanks 🙏🏼
And where does the c132s sit in this line? Is it lower grade? I’m looking at either a number 3 or 5 or a c132s all vintage from the 80s but I don’t know
Great sounding guitars.... Well done Neil.... Thanx 4 sharing
Thank you Ozcro
Hi Neil. Nice video for a Takamine fan like me. Do you know much about C140s models?
Oh my God I’ve been pronouncing this brand name wrong for years, thank you for the valuable info as always!
Same here.

Thank you for the video
Thank you
I have a Takamine guitar made in Indonesia with the serial number 971300. Is it possible to identify the date of manufacture using this number?
So I have a Takemine No. 10 that is the top-end model? It sounds very nice but a bit quite.
