Tree farms are absolutely genius! I've been using one in the forgotten lands for the dark wood. I was hoping I could find a video about the tropical wood, and here it is. I didn't realize you could use the plaza trees in Eternity Isle as well! Thanks for the video!
I prefer the experience of walking around and collecting things manually at my own pace, but I'm glad this tutorial is here in case I'm running low on time.
This tutorial is all about efficiency. This method would only need to be utilized temporarily to collect hundreds or even thousands of pieces of tropical wood. Personally, my favorite thing to do in DLV is decorate. Which requires an abundance of resources. I'd rather not wait 2 to 3 months to start my decorating process so I use methods like this to get there faster.
Those crops are just planted normally with the shovel. I just surrounded them with a bordered leaf strewn path. You can make the path with hardwood and soil and your crafting table. 😊
Hmm interestingly it seems i need a vacuum for each level in the grasslands and each level in the promenade too as itll miss wood on the other levels and not show them.
Yeah, it's weird. We were talking about this on my stream. You would need to move the vacuum around to 7 or 8 spots just to get all the wood from different sections within the 4 areas. I'm hoping the devs fix this because it greatly reduces the vacuums effectiveness within the wild tangle.
There are no "unnamed" areas. If you're referring to the top left section of the wild tangle, that's part of the Promenade... Just like the spot on the bottom left is part of the grasslands. We know this because each individual area is sealed behind swirling sands, and you have to pay Mist to remove them. When you open the Promenade, it includes both of those spots on the map. Hope that helps to clarify! Cheers! 😁
@rosie684 No. They don't spawn at the docks or in the courtyard. FYI: Grass doesn't have anything to do with wood spawns. Wood spawns based on biome and tropical wood is *exclusive* to the wild tangle. I hope that helps! 🙏 😁
Their must be some kind od glitch in my game because i counted 40 at the same time in every part, it happens every 5 minutes and its an extreme amount to clean up
I can't answer that because you didn't explain your issue. Saying "it didn't work" doesn't give me any information to go on... If you can be more specific, I may be able to help. *if* you do *exactly* what is shown in the video, it will work. The most likely scenario is that you either didn't remove all the trees and bushes, you set up the farms incorrectly, you time traveled, or you aren't waiting long enough for the wood to spawn... but again, without more information on your issue, I'm unable to assist.
It doesn't work for me too. I cleaned everything, did everything in the video and no woods. But it's an issue with the game (not for all player I guess), game teams are aware and are working on that. I didn't have enough wood to upgrade my watercan to kill small evil plant (who also give tropical wood) but thanks to Rapunzel, she gave me 5 tropical woods for one of her quest so I could upgrade my watercan :)
I have exactly the same issue : I followed your Woody farming tutorial (removing all trees and bushes) then placed the 3 trees at the 4 spots waited +1 hour (no spawns) and replayed the day after and still no wood spawn 😭
@jasonc5384 The one reason wood won't spawn would be that there is still wood existing somewhere on the ground within the area. 5 Wood will only spawn in if there isn't wood elsewhere in the area. A great way to test this would be with a level 3 ancient vacuum. Just keep in mind that the level 3 vacuum won't pick up all the wood in one area. You'll have to move it up ramps and across bridges to check each section. For example, the grasslands have 3 separate areas. The entry point, up the ramp, and across the bridge. You'll need to use the vacuum in each section. If you don't have the level 3 vacuum, you'll have to physically walk around and tripple check for the wood. I had a player today comment this same issue on my darkwood farm video. Only 2 of 8 darkwood were spawning. Sure enough, they found the other 6 wood within the biome, and this solved the problem.
@exiaworld262 There was an issue a while back where wood spawns were broken, but this was confirmed to be patched out by the devs. It may be worth checking for updates to make sure your game is patched.
@Stargazer-vk6vz I'm sure knowing that is a MAJOR game changer for you! The landscaping options are great, and they allow you to customize your valley and eternity isle SO much! I love the variety of trees and rocks! 😁
@@Weatheredstorms1 Yeah, most players do this. I have full guides for storage rooms and storage builds on my channel. I have almost 2000 hours in Dreamlight Valley and thousands of resources. All of them are organized and stored in dedicated chests. Most players do this. This video isn't about storage. It's simply showing you how to get more tropical wood faster so you can store even more.

You alwayas have the best videos for efficient resource-collecting. I love them!

I am obsessed with the ancient vacuums. Time bending grinding atm so enjoying putting an ancient vacuum in each area
Yeah, they're super handy! Eventualy, I'll have one in every area and every biome but it'll be a while before I accomplish that.
Once you start the time bending grind it doesn't take as long as you might think. Although it is painful at the beginning
Awesome as always!
Thanks for this, it will also free up my item limit and let me decorate my main biomes
Thank you. So happy I found this.
Happy Holidays Senpai
Same to you!
Brilliant! Thanks for the tip
I swear on mine it spawns like once a week.
How did you plant your crops all together like that 1:03 what item did you use?
Those crops are just planted normally with the shovel. I just surrounded them with a bordered leaf strewn path. You can make the path with hardwood and soil and your crafting table. 😊

What about that 5th unnamed area!.?? What is it part of and why is it un named?!

First like 😊and the first comment 😂
Let's go!
I did the things in your farm video
We need to get him 100k subs
The journey has begun! We're 12% there!
How do I get an ancient vacuum
Do they not spawn at the docks or courtyard? Both have grass
@rosie684 No. They don't spawn at the docks or in the courtyard. FYI: Grass doesn't have anything to do with wood spawns.

@Probably_Senpai awesome. Thank you for responding on such an old video!

You get 40 in every area, every 5 minutes? LOL, that is DEF a bug.
Well I know I messed this up. Going to have to fix my farm
but why doesn't it work for me

If you remove the trees, aren't they deleted?? So you lose the trees..
No. You have unlimited trees in your landscaping menu. Hope that helps. 🙏
@@Probably_Senpai thank you
@@Stargazer-vk6vz You're welcome! 😁
@Probably_Senpai wow...thank you!!! Did not know that so thank you!!

I collect what I can then store it in trunks
When I need something I know where to go I store wood in one, flowers in another gems in another you get the idea

So are you saying, you can do this with dark wood too?
Yeah. I have a whole video on farming dark wood as well. It was published months ago. 😁
thanks and best wishes but I removed the game I liked it
