- A full in depth look at this unique multi launch coaster in Belgium. Fury is the only ride in the world where riders vote whether you launch forwards or backwards for your ride experience. It's a super unique experience that you can only find at Bobbejaanland!

I actually thought that for a park this size with the kind of audience they draw, Fury was a perfect signature coaster for Bobbejaanland. It had just the right blend of forces that made it exciting and rerideable while having that voting feature to make it stand out. Plus, the ride just looks awesome and I really like how the park incorporated this and some existing attractions into their new Land of Legends.
I also think its a great ride for the park and for the audience
I completely agree! Bobbejaanland is not some massive resort. Fury was a fantastic addition for them.
@@CoasterDash tbh it is not even in the european top so i think this is a great coaste for them
Hey, I actually operated this ride. The tophat is 41 m (134 ft). This means that the highest built part is 43 m (141 ft) but the highest you travel is the tophat.
The lights of the voting system in the lap bar also indicate if your restraint is properly closed - which is pretty neat, especially if you have a couple of pounds more on your belly. So you know immediately after closing it, if you’re good to go 😊
I had a limited amount of time at Bobba before having to haul over to Efteling same day (I know not ideal but I got all the rides in). The Queue line was super long and I had time for one cycle. 70%+ of the cycles I witnessed had the train facing forward through the layout. So glad I got to go in reverse through the layout cause the drops and dives facing backwards are so much more fun than when facing forward.
Chasing those credits! I did BBJ and Toverland on the same day since I heard Efteling is a place you need to explore properly, so wanted more time there. It all worked out pretty good in the end and got a few rides on Fury.
Amazing video!!!!!!! Can’t wait for a Taiga Review!
Looking at the coaster collection in Belgium, this was the main coaster for my country for a few years (yk those two other coasters that are king now) and it was kind of a big deal for everyone from Belgium. I'm gratefull this Gerstlauer exists because it's unique and is just about the coaster the park needs. For someone who has some huge coasters in the US this might feel "small" for a standout ride in a park. But looking at Bobbejaanland and its visitors this was exactly the best attraction they could have chosen and I'm very thankfull that this is the big ride in the park.
Great to hear! Definitely puts some perspective on it👍🏻
Yeah it was great when they announced and built it since the new owners had neglected the park for almost a decade with only adding the forbidden caves and the VR on Revolution and dreamcatcher which were all just plain bad. This coaster was the start of a series of investments that truly benfitted my home park and I loved every second of Fury.
I've ridden Fury both forwards and backwards and I liked it better backwards! Greetings from the Netherlands!
Also you should make a video on your top 10 most intense roller coasters
I remember when the ride was announced, the park marketed it as a coaster with 4 inversions, I don't know how that works.
The Wraparound corkscrew looks to exit at a bit of a steeper angle, it's more of a mix of a Step-up Underflip and a Drachen Fire Dive Drop on Steel Curtain.
This looks incredible. Cant wait to try it!
In our local fair we had a ride with a voting system for water sprays or visual effects. The ride is called "El ratón vacilón"
I know that i can't stand backwards 😅 but i know i need to ride that. Time to visit bobbejaan again after two decades 😬 it's really 20 years - I'm old... damn.
It i remember correctly they started buying rides after a meeting with the owners of Phantasialand decades ago.
im pretty sure a step up underflip needs to have a turn out of it like a 180 degree helix and this looks like the maxx dive loop on maxx force where it kinda dives back down into another half loop but just doesnt invert a 2nd time so that is why this is a wrap around corkscrew (thats also why steel curtains drop isnt considered to have two inversions) but that is just what i think
So a coaster called thunderation which is an arrow mine train coaster, it used to have backwards and forwards facing seats, which made for an awesome ride experience. Unfortunately they no longer face backwards...
As of September when I rode it, the voting system in the lap bar is no longer used at all. Up the stairs & left is the always forward train, up and to right is for the random direction. Was surprised to learn this, I just assumed the actual button vote was still a thing.
And yes, that notch is yikes! 😂
These videos are great
It’s crazy to see the differences between the 1st and 325th version of this ride.
That's the only version of it.🤷♂️
@@tim-kevinwahlert250 Fury 325 is a B&M giga at Carowinds. The comment was clearly a joke because Fury 325 even came before Fury at Bobbejaanland so it's not a version of anything. The 325 is the height
@@emmawilliams16 I had forgotten Fury 325 so didn't consider it ss a joke.
You are right.
For me, the actual inversion of a step-up underflip is a lot more compact that the element here. More like a heartline roll that tails off at the end, on fury it is shaped more like a corkscrew so I believe that is where the name comes from
Or it's because a step-up-underflip ends in a curve, but on fury it's more abrupt transition downward, rather than a downwards curve
@@matjesghg9075 I thought so too
I feel like i am the most tolerant person for rough rides bc i didnt feel a rattle at all on almost any coaster people call rough. Not even dreamcatcher in the same park..
The ball buster.
When I first saw the notification I thought it was another review of fury 325 so I immediately clicked 😭
for me the forward line was better cause my dad who i love riding with get sick when going backwards for to long so the line for just forward was very helpful.
They made the forward only line because a lot of people spoke out about not being able to ride the ride forward. A lot of people thought they would get sick otherwise. So the park responded by splitting the line in forward only and voting only.
I guess that makes sense!
I think fury is a great ride but it is a tiny bit to short maybe a good ejector hill could have made it better. But since it is my homepark i ride it quitte often. As you said bobbejaanland needs a standout roller coaster that also has great capacity because the main roller coaster don't have a good capacity. But for a standout coaster i would think about a small to mid scale groundup RMC in the likes of Untamed at walibi holland or like twisted timber at Kings dominion.
I agree with this review. That rattle was definitely noticeable. Should have had a third voting option disabling the turntable and launching you straight into that shed and then backtrack out and continue on as normal. Revolution stole the show for me at this park.
Sadly the Gerstlauer rattle was there from day 1. So it was not the parks error.
I would like a coaster like this here in America
That would be fun if you could vote on stuff on The Saw coaster. 🤐
4:57 The Transition Reminds Me Of The Raven Truss Dive On ArieForce One. Because Like On ArieForce It Banks One Way Before Quickly Switching Direction The Other Way Heading Into The Dive Loop.
If You Compare This Element To ArieForce One's Raven Truss Dive They Look Pretty Similar.
Ouch I know how you feel I got pegged on Rip ride rocket because a crew member impatiently pushed the lap bar down to soon.
YES
Reminds me of a certain coaster at moreys piers
For your reviews, I think you should give how much air time the elements give or how much positive Gs, the element gives
@studio732jrl2 He is trying to tell us what to expect from this ride and all I am saying is he should say if the air time feels strong or weak or if the intensity is strong or weak.
@studio732jrl2 I am not saying he should be exact of how the forces are like no limits but just tell us if its strong or weak but it's his channel so he can do anything he likes
@studio732jrl2 sometimes he just names an element out says nothing about it
@studio732jrl2 dude I never said he hast to do it i’m just giving him a suggestion coaster studios fan boy
@studio732jrl2 for example, he skipped out on the step under flip and he did not list how he felt on the flip
The seats are very comfy. track is smooth. speed is is nice. I also have no idea why you need to vote when you have 2 lines. I prefer forward, I like "to see" the track. I don't like backwards, not that i am scared, i just prefer forward. I love this roller coaster but the capacity is bad. its a long queue when there are alot of guests. the park needs a second signature rollercoaster.
I thought you already did a fury 325 review?!!?!?!?!?
Does anyone know how to watch this is how we roll on Amazon fire stick?
I rode HangTime last week at Knotts before the New Year, and it was by no means “smooth”. That thing has a nasty shake to it
Kärnan in Germany is shaky too. And the intense Layout doesnt compliment it, but the open seats do
this july i had a ERT (extra ride time) on fury for an hour, I was able to make 14 rides that hour and it was AWSOME! even had the chance to get onto the launch and get some NERD pics. such a memorabele experience to have :D
what club/event was it with?
@@george5924 a special event a friend of me set up. we were with about 30 people. he hired fury for an extra hour after the park closed from 6 to 7 PM
Nice, now let us control Fury 325
This Feature would be so lit on some coasters...
A credit for every unique ride?
2:40 not an issue for my 2mm 😎
it helps :).
I had this issue in other rides 'randomly' never had this issue in fury. Seats are very comfy...
@@Yautja24 Yo, this was from a year ago, how did you find this? Thanks for bringing me back to this video, I’ve been wanting to watch it again.
Watch it again @@Oucherz
@@Sir_collosuss I did. Thanks for bringing me back to the vid!
@Oucherz lol ill be back in another years time
So unique
they should put one of these at Holiday World in the 4th of July section. Democracy the ride
I think the main reason for there being a forwards queue only: motion sickness.
2 credit ride?
Lessssssssss goooooooooooooooooo!!!
Who just thought as soon they got the notification it was fury 325
no
It's cool as heck that they have this but the execution makes it a gimmick at best. As you said, the front-only line completely negates the point of the voting system. If they have a front-only line the voting system should just be gone entirely to save cost and make that second line a backwards line. Or just one line with voting. It's really cool though, I just wish it was utilized better.
Better than Typhoon? Remember Typhoon has that crazy loop.
Typhoon is more intense but the main ride experience is nowhere as good
Hey Taylor I don't think you remember me but if you do I'm the kid you met at the park with the shirt saying airtime is my happy place @coasterstudios
