When ABC 20/20 did a news report of Super Mario Bros 2 in 1988 or 1989, they said that DQIII was hard to get at launch in Japan.

Why does the character/monster sprites are different compared to the rest of the game? It really looks like a Flash game now...

I like the full display on screen, but God, I really hate the enemy sprites...

The clash of hand drawn and pixels art gives it a fan remake sort of quality, despite it being a SquareEnix release.

The music sounds weird. I replayed the SNES version a few weeks ago and it sounds different (I'm unable to describe it better at the moment). The Switch version sounds almost shrill.
Is there a distortion in the highter tones?

Bro the snes version even has attack animations for the monsters this is turning out to be a bit of a disappointment. Hell if I remember right pretty sure even the Game boy Color version had more to offer than this lol

No, the SNES version DOES not have animations for the monsters, that was the game boy color versions and everyone complained about it, because the UNSKIPPABLE animations made everything way too long when you're grinding. So the removal of the animations is an actual improvement since it just made EVERY fight way too long.

Fuzzy Dunlop If only the DQ3 remakes had a fast forward option like in Persona 4 and in the FF 7-9 releases. I liked the sprite animations the n the SNES version of DQ3.

The mix of art styles is super weird to me.. It's like they wanted to redo the whole games as hand drawn but then just stopped once they realized how much work it was going to be. lol

The SNES version of DQ3 had animated spirts so the Switch version is in some ways a down grade. It’s like Square Enix doesn’t care about this legendary series.

Square-Enix has really bombed on the DQ3 Remix re-releases. The original Japanese Super Famicom remake was the best. You got to see ALL enemy characters animated. The intro sequence where you do trials was even taken from that version. Every port of this game after that was just a cheap partial port from that platform. Bring the FULL SFC version out on a modern platform and I'd buy that. I'll pass on this cheap port.

@@FuzzyDlop I think he means the specific artstyle od this version of the game. The enemy sprites look different deom the rest of the game and they're not animated like they were in the Super Famicom version

You need some audio commentary with your walkthrough. Besides learning some of the secrets of these games, half the enjoyment of watching is hearing the creative things guys like AuldDragon or HCBailley have to say. walkthrough with no commentary is boring.
