Nor are they in a petting zoo! There is a very strong element of modeling behavior operating. Modeling really dumb and potentially dangerous behavior. The best example is the pink scarfed Karen, who knows exactly what she s doing. The guards understand that there is an important role they play in balancing public relations and safety. Creating a scene is bad public relations, but it appears a few visitors did come come prepared with common sense, manners or all of their wits. Kudos to the guards!

Probably because the guard knows a horses bite force is stronger than a Rottweiler's. If it intends on doing damage, it will take half your child's face off. Tourists are absolutely clueless how dangerous a horse is, otherwise they'd never touch them. I live on a farm which has other people's horses on it. I absolutely never touch nor give treats to someone's horse unless they say so otherwise. I do often have to bring someone's horse on for them or take the horses rug off in summer if they're at work or running late etc. But I never do anything unless said to. Particularly with one mare that will not hesitate to kick you in the head for no damn reason.

So if you go to a foreign country on holiday, you know all of the languages? That’s a massive ask for those who do not even share the same alphabet. I’m moving to Spain in two weeks. The nuances, differences between words used in different settings etc are hard when you are older like myself. I have been to Morocco multiple times. No way could I ever learn their language. I know a handful of words but that’s it.
In no way am I saying his behaviour is right, it’s not. Everyone should know not to taunt a child or animal, it’s just your direct ‘don’t come if you don’t know English’ attitude. I am sure you either have a total grasp on every common language in the world, or don’t visit anywhere out of the country.

Yes is an ANIMAL the one holding his scared daughter, to make her touch the horse, twice. The king's guard reaction tells a lot of him He could yell out of his lungs, to get back... but he knew that will scare more the girl and the horse. Brilliantly done.

This chaos, with people just milling about, grabbing at the horse, the guard, the reins, and firing in the horse's face, sticking their fingers in his nose, poking at his face, etc., it's a disaster waiting to happen!

What kind of fatherly instinct is that guy showing? You do not scare or endanger your child. The guards actions were absolutely right. He has his horse to protect and he stopped the child being more traumatised. Imagine the backlash if the horse had spooked. A bully for a father.
