The guard in the beginning of the video is so pleasant, I like that he jumps to his horses defense when need be! Congrats to him for being such a kind hearted guard!♥
If they're not going to stop people from touching the horses, then they at least need a police officer out front with them to stop this from happening. They sound like foreign students, were they not told before visiting to leave the horses alone? Pure stupidity.
They do get the Bobbies involved, due to the installation of the panic button. And they have signs that the kids know how to read tells them to not touch the reigns, or you did not see the posted signage. Sad if you did not.

I've lived in the same place in London since I was a child nearly 80 years ago. I was often taken to see the guards,but no-one ever touched the mounts😊

Good. I was worried for a while after that dumb kid tattled to Daddy after a walking guard told him to "make way". Daddy then complained to guard authorities. It looked like they were told to tone it down. The guard's action told this kid all woke or broke ain't gonna fly in then horse guard. Respect and good manners are acquired skills. If they don't learn it from their families where will they learn them? Nothing for nothing gets nothing.

The anger is caused by the fact that these children, not only do not apologize to the guard for their mistake, as a sign of respect for the royal guard, but that they see it as a joke and laugh mockingly. Perhaps I see it with such respect, because I have served as a soldier in the Greek presidential guard and have been through similar incidents.
These Guards have a patient of a saint but even they have there limits. Reminded myself of Alexandra Gardens Windsor coach and & car park. With the numerous large grouping of students . Could always hear them before seeing them, no matter how polite you say excuse me even with ringing a standard mountain bike bell. Still had to say excuse me in a more firm tone of voice, which is now and again used with my own soon to be 15 and later in the year 18 year old girls 😂

Those kids need to be taught how to have respect when they are visiting the Kings guard and the horses. Everything is so funny to those kids and that’s the problem the lack of respect that they have in their generation.
Not only is the guard in the start of this video handsome and dashing , but the accent and smile are amazing. He never raises his voice except when needed

These guard stations have become such a crazy tourist trap. If the guards let many people go ahead and touch the horses, then how do they expect teenage boys to know the limits? They should just post expectations for tourist behavior. (“Please stay two feet away from the horse.”)
I love horses. I have been watching these videos for a few times now.Some people have no respect for horses. Do they not see the signs warning them that they can kick or bite.They somehow need to make a some type of barrier around the horses. My opinion.

Can you imagine having strangers touch, scratch or stroke all over your face for hours every day,? However, as much as you feel compelled to pet someone's mount you NEVER grasp the reins or bridle of anyone's horse much less a Guard's or policeman's unless you're a groom or someone paid to do it. The Guards are retired military officers, this is extra work for their retirement funding from the military. They still serve their country this way.
