What a killer finish and custom work on that neat guitar. Looks like something Billy Gibbons would have done to one of his. Awesome creative playing. Your content is TOP NOTCH. Thanks for your great documentation of all of the guitars you have done that will live on forever and are part of the permanent record for all to enjoy.
We like Mike! That is all. Edit: I think maybe the P-90 is the perfect pickup . Edited edit: we have missed you guys, hope you're back for a long while. Much love from here. Our part of the country isn't under lock down, but I admire and respect those who are, which makes Mike's appearance that much more special!
I’ve got to ask.....top three best guitars you’ve ever played. No judgement as I like them in all shapes, sizes, foreign or domestic! What do play when your not blowing us away on the YT? You are tops in my book and I just love to not only listen but your a blast to watch. And always so helpful. Thanks 🙏
Wow, I love my Barney Kessel Gibson. Frank's parts caster Stratocaster's with the gold foil pick ups are tops! I love all the great Les Pauls including mine built by Tommy Doyle. I like the Harmony semi hollows and the solid body Epiphones that Frank hands me.
Your back......more than anybody else, I look forward to hearing you. It seems that you are generally running through the Ampeg Gemini-any troubles with fuzz or overdrive? Struggled with my 65’Reverberocket taking gain pedals. Bought an Analogman modified fuzz face with a buffer and the rocket roared with the buffer on. Any insight to the ‘why’. Love this amp but gain pedals have been a recipe for wasting money till this buffered(after Fuzz) Fuzz face arrived. Thanks for all your great demos.
I also have a Reverberocket and the Gemini is just a warmer sounding amp. I love the Reverberocket and would never get rid of it, but for demos the Gemini has that bigger cabinet and just always sounds good. Best amp I've ever owned.
drowninginguitars -I struggled with it but new it had potential-the sound , the sound. Had Trouble using the eq-it wasn’t very reactive on the low wattage speaker that it had and bright to shrill. Put in a old Magnavox P232 -a heavy duty frame alnico speaker and the god of thunder showed up. All of a sudden eq-treble and bass was reactive for dialing in different tones and the overall head room increased significantly-the cleans were moving. Still had the gain pedals problem but that buffer after the fuzz Analogman modded Fuzz Face with the allowed me by Black Sabbath and Hendrix tone without it being harsh. Funny that all I’ve ever heard is that these were known for there cleans as Everett Hull hated distortion but this amp does a pretty convincing job of covering Marshall type tones when dimed. These Ampeg don’t scoop like a fender but the warmth alone that these amps produce lend it self to all kinds of magic. I’m here in Montana and they just don’t ever make it here from back East too often. I myself lost the accutronics tank in shipping but I stuck with it. Partly due to the rural world problem of exposure to anything else. I’ve always thought of getting a Gemini as they are still affordable compared to the spiraling market of everything else. Would you just say its ‘more’ of what a rocket does or a different animal all together? Have always wondered if having the tube rectified of the Gemini makes it feel a bit looser-warmer. I play a bit of bass through it also and doesn’t sound half bad. Is that the 1 or 2 version? Your pedals sound terrific through that Gemini. And Your playing is what one aspires to. Thanks for taking the time.

Man this LP Studio sounds sweet. Classic blues tones, also capable of monster rock sounds and outlaw country.

The Studio Les Pauls don't get enough respect. Strange with all the attention that Juniors and Melody Makers generate. Thanks for this clip.

Archie Campbell was a genius. Mike could aspire to that realm if he chose to do so.
Stay safe . You are amazing person and I love the way you play guitars.
Thank you Rahul for that beautiful comment.
Ditto on all said here. Sounding great as always. Peace Brother. :-)

Cool looking and great sounding L.P. Mike. Was the second song Mustang Sally? Thanks for the video in these tough times. Hope all is well.
No that was just a blues in C. Same key as Sally. Thanks for your support. We're all good here!
