After watching many of your videos, I’ve decided to start my own painting company in partnership with a subcontractor who specializes in commercial and new construction painting but has never worked in the residential repainting business.

Hello sir. I was operations manager for a paint company in Ca for almost 2 years. I’m a truck driver in Utah now starting my painting business journey. Any advice or videos you recommend? Thank you
I have my LLC, EIN basic tools a truck getting ready to take my 25 hour
license course for Utah. That’s where I am at the moment.

Skip doing the painting yourself completely. Utilize the free resources. As soon as you can invest in a coach, do it. Whether that’s with us or someone else. It’ll save you months of learning things the hard way

As for registering the business for a complete beginner would you recommend setting up on your own or going to an accountant to get it set up??

You should be able to do it. But if you have a bunch of capital and feel better with someone else doing it, do that. Set it up as an LLC

California Contractors licensing requires 4 years of experience. Is there a way to go around that to start the business without the 4 year experience?

There are some workarounds including paying a company to endorse you. You’ll have to just do some digging. It’s hard for me to keep up with licensing nationally. But I do know people who have found a solution to that.

Can't find subcontractors. Tried all your tips. Good candidates are just not here.
They all want cash. Have no insurance, no references, no driver's licence, or equipment.
I just just find a bunch of losers who want to work for cash, which I don't do.
