Probably the smoothest sounding arrangement of Super Mario World's Staff Roll theme out there. I can totally see this playing over a montage of Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi getting into various antics while on vacation...
Good stuff. The riff, especially during the first half, almost sounds like a throwback between Robbie Dupree's "Steal Away" and Patti Austin's "Come to Me".
Considering the original Mario music was heavily inspired by rock/jazz fusion instrumentals (notably The Square jazz band) I think this is the optimal, fully realized versions of these songs. Instrumental with a full jazz band.
this is the kind of music i could listen to in the background of a restaurant with the band playing on stage while waiting for my order of food is getting cooked while taking my date out to enjoy together. nice brown and red aroma with the yellow lights hovering behind me showcasing the buffet. dim lights overall. the works with a few people slow dancing. with different colored lights such as magenta blue and green shining on the dancers and band members. once the music is over our order is ready. that would be lovely and maybe if I'm lucky i could run into an old mate of mine to catch up on things. i would like that.
