They make a good point about practicing too hard. It's well known in physical sports that rest is just as important as training when it comes to performance. E-sports is new in comparison so people are still figuring out the best way to train, I have no doubt pro gamers in the future will incorporate more rest time into their schedule.
I don't understand the anger. Does this affect you, or anyone else? Even if it was a mental illness (which it isn't) - why would you be so angry about it? I see someone doing something that they choose to do, for their own reasons, so they can pursue happiness... why not just let them be?
Mark, the lack of truth regarding the subject matters for society at large, it matters for the youth that are being told the lies we are hearing and of course it matters for scarlett, who despite chasing happiness (or what have you) is ultimately hurting himself.
I very much agree with Tasteless on his point regarding excessive training becoming less productive: 10:00 this concept of breaking up your training into chunks or having breaks from the game is a proven efficient learning technique. Ask any successful person and they will tell you how normal they are (IQ, Intellectual, smartness, wisdom, foresight.. all just like you! yes you, you idiot normal person!) except all they did different was small adjustments to behavior, a segmented focus aligned with relaxing or unrelated activity. in other words, they train for 1 hour or so then take 10 mins to fuck about on whatever as a break, then 1 hour training rinse and repeat. I got top marks (High Distinctions) in my uni classes doing half the recommended hours just because my study was split into 30m/5m study break intervals... it really is just the best way the brain retains its learning even if cramming for study seems better then taking a break so often. take the frequent breaks, don't think about the game, come back, train, rest, train rest, rest, rest, train, rest..... you will do less training then everyone else but gain more results then anyone else... use the naturally evolved brain to its highest function in this way and get the best results, its actually totally as simple as just 30m train, 5 mins break, or 1 hour train, 10 min break... apply to all life's' facets and become successful not just i a game but in everything you do. don't read a book or pay a coach to learn how, just 30/5 or 60/10 it! PS: google 'how to learn' and all the uni video lectures in that search will say the same thing.
