I absolutely love it when Phil asks ‘ what news.?’ I’m 4-6 months away from selling my condo and buying a villa. When my offer goes in and a response comes back I will definitely ask ‘ what news?’
I find it interesting that Brits expect an outdoor space for cats. Maybe it's changed there now, but it's quite common here in Canada to keep your cats indoors. Seen this episode before, but worth a re-visit. New episodes, please!
@@AnnHowell Here in Canada (well, at least in Ontario, where I live), to adopt a cat from a shelter you must sign an agreement that you will not let the cat outside. Otherwise they will not let you adopt it.
this was 12 years ago (2012)! try this these days and you won’t ever find anything spacious at the £200k mark. what you get for that amount is a live-in toilet!
@@1_aiartist_1001effectsBy right area, do you mean a 5 hour commute? What they were saying is you can’t find similar flats in similar areas for similar prices.
Really a shame for Allie and Jo. I hope they found something they liked as much. Good for Jennifer! I hope she has ditched the false eyelashes though - so distracting! But I'll have to go back to the start of the video to have a closer look at her adorable kitties. I hope they are living a happy life with their hooman.
Often, but it’s what makes the show more realistic than, let’s say, House Hunters. And keep in mind that Phil and Kirstie are only with them for like three days. It’s amazing when a couple finds a house they like in that short period, let alone all the other stuff that comes after.
"Large"? "Good sized"? As a born and bred London I can say that Kirstie is full of IT> The spaces people are being gaslighted into parting with 1/4 million of debt to buy are insane. This is NOT living!
Because the land in Britain is still owned by the "lords" (freeholder who owns the ground the house is erected on) who lord it over the leaseholders , extract a tax and generally make life miserable.
Here in India is quite common unfortuantely. I have seen a lot of leasehold properties in Mumbai and there the lease is often quite short. Kind of crazy risk! To me would only make sense when you don't have kids.

I love this show. I live in San Francisco. If I ever moved to London I would ring up Phil and Kristie to help me find a house ❤

Many shelters in the UK here won't rehome cats without outdoor space!

thank you so much for all the uploads. It's my favourite show. Some of these are not even on channel4 website.

So neither buyer got the house the put in an offer on. I wonder how often that happens.

“Civil Partners” is an interesting term. 2012 was an interesting year.

Why is there a lease on a property that is for sale? Doesnt make sense?

They voted for Boris.
As an American, I'd like to know what you mean by that?
@@anglophils645 That's the former British Prime Minister. Not quite as bad as Trump but not really a shining star either.
I doubt if they did vote for Boris
