I insist on using Thomastik-Infeld strings. They produce a consistency of tone between strings that no other string manufacturer rivals in my experience. I have Thomastik-Infeld strings for my violins, mandolin, electric mandola, and octave mandolin. I have not managed to find appropriate Thomastik-Infeld flat-wound strings for my 34" (≈ 86 cm) scale-length acoustic-electric mando piccolo bass. These are something I would very much like to acquire. I think my best option may be to select a custom set of strings. How does one go about obtaining a Thomastik-Infeld catalog?
