Rodolphe Peccatte apparently dumping is allowed in German version of the rules. Must be the only case in boardgames when German rules are incorrect, see boardgamegeek.com/thread/1654608/. However, I wonder if playing with allowing it makes it more fun, and in a way discarding a tile is a penalty in itself (miss potential scoring points)
Seems like you would want to put the tiles in a bag so that you don't see the numbers until they come out. I can see a point where you memorize what the numbers are, letting you pre-plan a bit just by looking at them. Putting them in a bag would prevent you from seeing the number until they were placed for use.
Jen would have to build the double sheep tile. you may not discard any pile unless there is no legal move possible. It was possible to lay it next to the castle. Greetings from Italy. Love your work!!!
Plus, if Jen is chosen randomly to be the starting player, you in exchange can choose to put your two kings where you want. Jen has to live with the fact that there will be just one more tile for her available. ;-)
They're not at all identical. To state a few differences, Limes has four ways of scoring versus one for Kingdomino. Limes has a different way to acquire the cards/tiles (random draw and number-calling) versus Kingdomino (drafting). Limes has four features per card/tile to Kingdomino's two. Limes has follower placement whereas Kingdomino doesn't. Limes has a player count of 1-2 whereas Kingdomino is 2-4.
that's surprising. maybe they changed the rules for the 2nd edition? here's the rules that came with my copy, and they clearly say use half the tiles: boardgamegeek.com/filepage/136291/kingdomino-english-rules
rahdo all players on UA-cam use 24 dominoes for 2 player game,it seems to me it works out to 12 dominoes per player ie 2 player = 24, 3 player = 36, and 4 player = 48 dominoes. But my rule book states ,3 player = 36 dominoes 2,and 4 player games use All 48 dominoes? But it leaves a lot of dominoes over when the five by five grid is completed? Can't be correct? Also it would have been a help if the rule book described the landscapes to avoid confusion. I have adjusted my 2016 rule book now.perhaps when you have time you could test a 2 player game with 48 dominoes, thanks John. Update.....Just found out, UK rules printed wrong.
18:36 She can't dump it. If you can place a tile in your kingdom, you have to.
noted... thanks

some don't come with a bag
See you at the world championships.

18:00
noted... thanks :)
Love the puzzle-building quality of this one!
18:36 - you can’t just discard a tile like that. If you can lay it (which you could have), you should have done.
It was already noted... Please turn on the Klingon subtitles to see where Richard goofs up… Thanks :)

..."and now, one two three four times 1... is a 10 point lake!"... :D
i ain't got time to multiply!
Tip for a more challenging game: instead of opening another row, open 2! This way the opponents will think strategically.
You would actually score 15 more points if you had played with the variants. Perfect 5x5 grid + castle in the center = 15 pts.
Poor Jen :D
I picked this up at essen.
really great little filler.
it's also a very good 2 player, especially when you play the 7x7 variant
Just came across your channel and it's brilliant. Subbed and looking forwards to looking through your vids
I hope you have *a lot* of free time... You're in for a treat! 😂
Fortunately i have recently been run over so i have a few months of time to dedicate!
And Zed brought me along as well! Seems like a great channel!
19:30, legal placement?
ya was about to ask that too HHAHAHA
seems illegal to me
Yup, totally illegal placement...
noted... thanks :)
Illegal
À Very good game from Bruno Cathala !!!
You might be use the box to put dominos before starting the game^^
11:20 Is it possible (legal) to change those tiles during the game? or was it changed only for tutorial reasons? Thanks..
the latter
He cheated!!!!
19:41 how you take it there ? its not there i a connection .
it was already noted in the klingon subtitles! when you watch a Rahdo video please turn on the Klingon subtitles to see when he goofs up
Love the Box Art.. a shame the game isn't as good.
The game is brilliant!
Are you kidding ? The game is great.
Isn't this essentially identical to Limes? I'd be a bit miffed if I were the designer of that.
significantly different gameplay. about the only similarity is that they're both tile laying games :)

Kinda feels like Carcassonne
11:35 I'm assuming you can't move a tile once placed as you did with the double grass land?
it was already noted... thanks
In my rule book it says use all tiles for a 2 and 4 player game, not half?
