im working on documentation i mentionned in the vid, will be on my site within the next day. PEACE
this machine is already sounding gnarly man and its not even finished, keep up the good work but dont let it consume you! love from spain ;)
What about your mini version with just the 3 gameboys? I guess you can only take so much with you.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER I understood that this thing going to be a crazy but now I realize it’s going to be far more INSANE than I imagined. Well done Sam! This will be one for the books for sure🙌
Great job mate, i love it👍👍👍
soo when does the the gameboy megamachine meet the marblemachine of wintergatan ? xD
I just hope this guy doesnt start using his powers for evil
🤟🤣✌️ lmfao
Like what? Working for Konami? Lol
We'd be absolutely screwed if he did.
right like hes a Batman villain waiting to happen
he lookin like the kinda guy hooking up a whole choir of virgins to an organ and making them sing notes with his hellish torture machine
He looks like one of those futuristic tech guys that you'd find in a movie like The Fifth Element/Bladerunner/The Matrix or the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game that sells you gear, upgrades your abilities, and hacks shit for you lmao. This is amazing.
Like the dude in hackers .. My favorite guy too ... Matthew Lillard 😂
Lol, indeed.. he should be casted as a starwars character!
This guy looks like he's straight from a 90's comic book.
Sale from _Vento Aureo?_
I was gonna say Pauly Shore.
He will accidentally build a time travel or dimensional portal machine.
I was thinking the lawnmower man....😜
Shhh! don't tell him it's not the 90s...
Hack the Planet!
Electricity be like "Can I just get to ground already?"
Underrated comment
Props. For a wierd reason, sounds like what he would say tho...
When this behemoth is finally finished, I want to see a collab with Wintergatan's Marble Machine X, once Martin finally finishes that project haha.
fingers crozsed they are in key with each other hahaha
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER hahaha no kidding!
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER Nah, call it microtonal and it's fine!
@@theothertonydutch haha
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER have you seen his modulin, his synth modular violin? I think you two would get along.
so that is how they made the THX intro sound :D
LMFAO
Just found this - goid call
Spot on =D
Same thought haha
It actually isn't far off:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:THXDeepNoteScore35thAnniversary.jpg
The score only calls for 30 voices, though.
When I was a kid I would go into a store and start 10 noisy toys at the same time.
This reminds me of that.
Instead of ten you have fourty eight noisy toys lol
So you were the little shit that made my job harder
Yes.
Except it actually sounds GOOD!
Now he can do the final ritual - summoning the SuperMario's spirit
😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn you said well
Pretty sure this guy could pipe his wall into the ocean and wake Cthulhu.
Now we need this ritual more than ever
"don't be scared to try" is such an incredible catch phrase. i love it
Those mad scientists from cartoons are real! :D Nice job man
This is slowly turning into a nuclear reactor.
Nah, as long as its transistor based its fine ;).
@@TheRailroad99 oh,good,I just imagined this thing, but built on vacuum tubes
It's gonna be a multi-dimensional time portal..
Well yes. How else do you imagine you can generate enough electricity to power such an epic THX machine?
He's like a time traveler from the future that went back to the 80's, brought the culture back to the year 3000 and finally settled in 2020 after a series of misadventures regarding time travel, robots, AI's and EDM concerts.
Sounds pretty accurate 😂
Netflix should get on this
I wanna hear the PS1 Boot sound from it. 🤣
I feel like this project is goint to end up being another TEDx talk.
good luck getting it there lol'
@@scottrettig5608 nothing a crane and several furbies can't move
Tedx = self congratulatory bullshit
Maybe he should join forces with Graham Hancock and Rupert Sheldrake and create some kind of resistance movement.
He was at a TEDx talk with furbys organ and some other stuff
This is just freaking amazing! This guy should be famous one day. He's got the look, the voice, and the talent. Some show should pick this guy up, like some sort of weird science show or some shit.
I think he is famous.
A show would turn him into a wanker
Why ruin his life with that nonsense. He is in a far better place here. Scheduled TV is dying anyway.
@@HowardKlein1958 I didn't know success would ruin someone's life. That is usually what ppl strive for, to be known & succeed. Tf are you talking about? Who actually tries to strive for mediocrity?
This thing is just massive in sound and size... simply astounding
I think you're my new favorite mad scientist on UA-cam.
He's been my favorite mad scientist on UA-cam since 8-bit guy talked to him at some convention somewhere.
"How many Gameboys do you own?"
LMNC: Yes
haha
wat meme originated this from
meme = Jesus
Wow so original
This is absolutely astonishing the amount of work and time that has gone into something like this, it’s incredible to see how it works, how you can manipulate the sounds and this channel has opened up a world I never knew existed.
ok, i entered the weird zone of youtube without realizing
btw: nice job
@Fantomas646 bro, relax... it's just a joke -.-
SUCCESS!
@@impheris this is youtube gold dude.
@@impheris took me months to find this, you got lucky
I thought this was the normal zone. Memes and conspiracy theorists are the weird zone.
You should definitely play a classical piece with this synthesiser it would sound other worldly! Love this stuff.
connor dooley when I can control the endings of notes yeah deffo
GameBach
Go for some big stuff like the St Matthew Passion Ouverture
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER
Yeah, go all “Walter Carlos” on us!!
Anyone of any hobby would be doing well to have even half of your skill, work ethic and determination. Makes me want to work harder at my modular synth and all of my hobbies !!!
Sam - thanks for videos demonstrating the problems you encounter and your troubleshooting process. So many videos make it look like every experiment turns out hunky dory and never hits snags. For us that try to learn something, it really deprives us from observing this crucial process, and makes it seem that any problem you encounter is totally not normal. Thank you for showing your failures and challenges!
Чувак, ты гений. И то что ты делаешь очень вдохновляет.
WOW that whole stretch from 10:15-12:15 was so amazing, i was totally lost in it! edit: also, wtf this is the coolest instrument in the world why isn't this giant wall of gameboys more famous!?
andrefrm cuz it’s still being built
ooohhhh maaannnn!!! I LOVE the bit at 10:00 where you have some coming up and some coming down, that just sound MASSIVE. Cant wait to see it on the road some day!! :-D
This is absolutely incredible. you should be VERY PROUD bringing new things into the multi-verse. and with such a HUGE SOUND. YES!!!
This is really exciting stuff for the music world! It's evident something great will transpire from all this hard work. I truly hope musicians and other artist will collaborate with you. Spectacular!
Ahhhh, this just made my day. Nothing like seeing a mad scientist in his element.
This is so badass. Between this and the marble machine x my mind is blown by two killer creations on UA-cam.
jkdubb - anyone in the world with the right mind would be putting these two things together right NOW!! - right?
@@bobstar76 The comments on this page definitely reflect a widespread (and deeply felt) desire for this momentous colab to occur...before the end of 2019.
Maybe the patreons can legally compel them to do it through some kind of Service Level Agreement or something.
It already blows my mind! Really cool following you with this build, good luck with the rest of it!
I love when a small concept idea turns out to be a catalyst for something amazing. I haven't seen any of your other videos, but this is mind blowing. I'm going to check the rest out now.
Damn... Imagine the size of the schematic book and manual for a monster like this?! This is a work of art.
Man if I were rich I'd offer you 3 million quid to build one of these for my studio. Literally cooler than a CS-80!
George Kay hahaha well I’m documenting my every move if I do get contacted and gotta get a small army together to build one haha.
unityisthekeytostrength yeah I watched that a few days ago. Great stuff!
I love it, the fact that you actually made that is mind blowing. Out of all your machines, this is definitely one of my favourites.
if someone does not open a museum with your stuff in it i will lose my s***, i've never wanted to play with anything more than your builds. lights, dials, switches ! am i the only one who wants one just to drown out the world ?
damn man, you're out of control. this is one of the coolest things i've seen.
9:50 what a incredible amazing sound. Love it
this gameboysynth is epic ! got really emotional to see how you start playing it ! Keep on working on it
This is wizardry I tell you! I love analog anything and seeing you make music from GameBoys or any other non digital electronics is awesome. Keep developing your equipment and making music, I'll be looking forward to more contraptions.
This sounds mesmerizing.
Very fascinating piece of machinery. I would like to hear a trance track with this droning in the background.
Nice to see the full system up and running, cool. Can't wait for the sonic mayhem to start
So amazing man! I’m so excited for how this is going!! Steady on!!
dude i just wana say how much love i feel right now :P for the work you do and the sounds you make!!
this slays any vst out there
hahaha
You're absolutely right. The world totally needs an LMNC MegaMachine Vst
Nice.
Edit: Dude, the panning works so great it seems to come to the left of my speaker!!
That last short jam was a effin trip! wow some oldskool good vibes, thanks.
Oh man! This is absolutely astonishing. I'm glad there's people like you alive. To give balance to this sick world. Beautiful mind.
Holy shit this is glorious. Also of course you’re left handed too.
So awesome, sounds I've never heard before. Thanks for sharing
This is so cool
I can’t get rid of the thought that every time you bend down to play a chord it looks like you praising the gameboy mothership devil.
I just made my g/f watch this with me. She says the following: "This is the most synth-nerdy thing on the planet". Also she facepalmed at "Mini Gameboy megamachine". Those are compliments !
lol. ohwell it aint for everybody.
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER Women are far more complex than the machine you're building lol
Who knew you could get such epic sounds out a Gameboy. Amazing!
Thats why i love youtube - because of such creative people. Keep it going, cheers!
The first 30 seconds is what I imagine the end of the world might sounds like!
fingers crossed
Yes world shall not go out with wimper it shall go out with a THX

Why is it Dutch?
@@MacAnters Because LMNC is wearing a Dutch army uniform. (Dutch flag on arm)
@@coencuppen4790 cool, got it, thanks
Just stumbled across this channel. This may well be the most amazing thing I've ever seen!
love this, first video ive seen on it and already i see the endless potential of sound and visual effects possible, very impressed, very very impressed indeed
Accidentally had sound output on the hifi late at night when playing this :>
I jumped
Your tech knowledge is so inspiring. I'm just a humble feral bohemian mess who wings it all on instinct. I wish I actually knew as much about the tools I use as you do. ;D
Speaking of those tools, if you ever make this into a working VSTi you *will* have my money.
It's been awesome seeing this come together over the past year and then some; Sam, you truly have gone where no human has gone before
This is by far one of the most awesome videos I’ve seen on UA-cam. Game it megamachine for sure my friend!
Great, you have succeeded in making a machine that does the THX sound effect to a T. XD
Seriously though it sounds mad.
Also 300th like.
I bet you feel like God sometimes when testing the megamachine. It's like giving life to an object. Great job mate!
It's Alive!!!!
More like Dr. Frankenstein, "it's alive!"
Gotta say, I was so uncomfortable with how rough you were with everything when explaining. That being said, you're a mad genius. So much work went into this, and you made it real! THAT'S AWESOME!
That gave me goosebumps. It sounded like the stars were singing.
This is the most impressive thing I have...ever(?) seen
I once witnessed someone get accidentally hit full force in the face with a guitar headstock
but this machine is actually more amazing.
Sometimes I wonder if you're real because those things are way out of a common mortal's imagination
Kikikikiki
Then that means you couldn't imagine him. Which means he's real.
It’s so god damn beautiful, noisy, and looks a billion % fun.
Keep doing the thing!
Genius, amazing work and talent!
Yo wtf kinda genius artistry is this
I want to make a weird scifi movie, I want you to do the soundtrack!

Now you have to actually make a movie that matches his level of genius

I can't believe my eyes. The madman has done it
If Emmett Brown was born in 1999.... can't wait for an actual flux Capacitor.
lovely sounds, thanks for the inspiration to keep building crazy stuff. keep up the good work :)
Absolutely frikin awesome man. Just loving the sounds this beast creates. Right off over to your Patreon now.

Watching you is like watching this mad electronic music/computer genius. It's pretty amazing and very enjoyable.
Beautiful! It sound gorgeous, and I bet it'll look incredible on stage some day.

The way you play on your knees looks like you are just praying for the Megamachine GOD ! :)
Light some candles, a copy of Nintendo power set beside him, and a holy effigy of the lord Mario hung above..
That is amazing. I love following this project
The sound you played at the end sounds like a great sci-fi movie soundtrack ❤️
8:25 - Nintendo are listening for abuse of their 30 year old technology..... Their fears are confirmed!
Abuse? They have gone to heaven, they are singing in a choir in a crazy dude's basement instead of rotting away in a box somewhere.
@@Kalumbatsch I always imagined an angelic choir to sound different 🤣
Kalum Batsch - Calm down..... Nintendo are listening.
Don't be part of the triggered generation!
This could easily be a Blade Runner soundtrack.
And I thought I was a bit weird doing circuit bending.... This guy is a genius!
Totally Crazy and Mega Good. Amazing work.

This is looking more and more impressive.. I can't wait to see how it evolves.
