- Out for a fossick in the rolling hills of Oregon. This week we find colorful Jasper, beautiful plume Agates and weird petrified wood and fossil plants. October 2024
Very cool!! That plume at 26:54 is way too cool! Awesome video.
Thanks!! That was one of my favorites for sure.
You guys are one of my favorite’ ppl to watch cuz it’s no telling what yall bring back & then you guys bring them back and cut them so we don’t have to wait. That’s my favorite part. and not to mention the beautiful places that you take us to thanks. See you both.
I really appreciate that! My favorite videos to watch also have the reveals so I thought other people might enjoy that as well.
Could 30:37 be a coral fossil? Looks like it's branching up from a base.
That has crossed my mind. I wonder.
That was an exciting video to watch. We are driving over to Fischer Canyon tomorrow from Sandy, for one of our last digs of the season. I hope we get that lucky.
Thanks!! How'd you do out at Fischer?
@ We didn’t find much of the material we were looking for, so after 2 hours, we headed over to Bear Creek and did a little better. We spent the entire month of September rock hounding in Utah, so we are pretty spoiled after that.
Very nice!!
Thanks! Always amazed by the variety out there.
I knew someone was gonna go snag big red eventually.... they're onto you guys 😂
Great finds as always! Killer nodules and wood. Love the sycamore pet wood 🪵 🎉
Yeah they pinpointed the exact spot and drove right up. Here i am hiking. Haha.
@itslattice4195 oh man this was a calculated heist! Smash and grab.... well sorta 😂

Hi Cliff. Would be great to meet you and check out your collection sometime! Maybe we could put together a collecting trip too. I have a spot outside of terrebonne I want to check out for some gold and garnets.
You could make a group meet up ? Would be so cool.Airhugs of positive loving energy to you all
I have .. something.. and I'm not sure what it is. I gave up asking years ago, but seeing your videos has reignited my interest. Could you take a look please? 1:53
that stuffs sick. puttin it on my bucket list if I can find out the location
Lots of rocks out there, for sure!!
Are y'all by madras? Ish? The area looks familiar. There's an area between madras and john day the way the crow flies. Its probably 20 minutes outside madras. I thought it was petrified wood. I don't believe thats what it is. I believe its bone. And it was huge. Huge.
This was out past Prineville. What kind of bone do.you think it is?
Special and cool! Thanks for sharing
@itslattice4195 no clue. What I do know is it was huge. And there was chunks sticking out the ground all over this huge area. I found pet wood this other was so completely different in texture and look. I found, looks like a drip of something but obviously solid. But held up to the like looks like litteral red veins running through.
Could the second to last be bone?
I wonder. Hopefully, someone will know.
Hi Lance, have you ever rock hounded around the copper mine in the Ochocos? Love watching all your videos. Never miss one. Real nice finds today.
Thanks I appreciate the feedback! Never been to the copper mine. What's the name of it? I checked out the gold area out by Walton lake.
@itslattice4195
I don't know the name. It was open due to copper shortages during ww11. It was shut down just after the war ended. I was up there 2 weeks ago with a friend because I used to find a bunch of agates on the hill above it. I realized that I am too old now. However, we did stumble across 1 in the road sticking out. We tried to dig it out, but neither one of us is strong enough. It is up in the walton lake area but the access road is set that if you blink you will miss it. It is known by locals. If you want directions I can send them.
I headed up Blevins Creek on my way back to Seattle from San Diego in the dark, but then I had to leave all of a sudden, didn't find anything but I got a nice view of the Milky Way ha ha. I'm gonna come back down one of these days and hopefully find a good spot.
Right on! You should come back! Theres always something to find out there. What's out at Blevins Creek?
@@itslattice4195I dunno, it was too dark 😂
@@danfilbin7365 hahaha 😆
Hey lattice im looking to go up to central Oregon to carry out the little things you pass 😅 got any recommendations on how to track a potential spot? I know alot of the collection is closed for the season:( i want to rockhound for pet wood and agates where im allowed thanks!
Bear Creek and Hampton can be good for wood. Congleton Hollow great for limb casts with some digging. Just about anywhere in the high desert has potential for Agates and jasper. Look in drainages and gravel patches on hillside etc.
Very nice
Thanks!
Prineville City of commerce has maps. A ton of amazing sites
It's an amazing region!!
Absolute beuties!!!
Thank you! I love the variety out there.
