    Please more lessons, start a patreon or something too. I’ve never used a patreon account with any other channel but your lessons are so good I would actually pay just to keep this channel going. There are NO good channels like this. 3/4 of my family are in Brazil and I need to learn this

    Andrew congratulations once again. I wait for your lessons. I highly appreciate your commitment and love towards Portuguese. I must say you have a novel way of putting forward the lesson, especially the in between songs or small talks. Congratulations once again. Hopefully you increase the frequency. Thank you. 🎉

    Great video. Can you also cover the importance of the term “O” in Portuguese? I don’t know when it is and isn’t supposed to be used

      @DecodingWordswithAndrew  18 днів тому +1

      Glad you liked it! Could you give me a little more detail on what exactly you mean by "O"? Like an example of how you've see it used

      @@DecodingWordswithAndrew like i noticed that if a sentence starts with a noun e.g a name of a place it sometimes starts like “O Joao vai…” or “O Brasil no…”

    • @DecodingWordswithAndrew
      @DecodingWordswithAndrew  18 днів тому

      With peoples' names, it depends on the region...it's common in certain regions like Rio & SP to use the definite article ("o Marco", "a Juliana", etc), while other regions don't use it (simply "Marco" or "Juliana"). As far as names of countries--most countries will use the definite article (o Brasil, os Estados Unidos, etc). With cities, most cities don't use the definite article, but there are some that do like Rio (o Rio). Hope that answers your question.

    could you do a video lesson about how to greet and how to answer greetings in Brazilian Portuguese? other greetings of
    how are you
    and how to respond that in Brazilian Portuguese

    • @DecodingWordswithAndrew
      @DecodingWordswithAndrew  4 дні тому

      Honestly, all you really need to know is "Tudo bem/bom?". And people often will just respond with "Tudo bem/bom". But here are two videos that should help you: ua-cam.com/video/O7QHshzPy2E/v-deo.html
      ua-cam.com/video/RbDD59ZMfRM/v-deo.html

    • @user-fo1le6je8v
      @user-fo1le6je8v 3 дні тому

      sim, I'm familiar with tudo bem/bom,
      but what should be answered to that
      Fala meu rei beleza?
      Como é que cê tá beleza?

    • @DecodingWordswithAndrew
      @DecodingWordswithAndrew  3 дні тому

      @@user-fo1le6je8v honestly people will often just respond with “Tudo bem/bom?” to any greeting….my philosophy is to just keep it simple, especially in the beginning. You don’t need to know 10 different greetings when you’re just starting out….”Tudo bem” is just fine
