    Thank you for another great video! Wish you could somehow break down a 2 hour MMA podcast! but realise that would be a very long video haha Ive been learning Portuguese on and off for a year or so but never stay motivated to keep to a routine. But I always enjoy watching MMA interviews in Portguese even if I dont understand most of it! Do you offer private lessons?

    • @DecodingWordswithAndrew
      @DecodingWordswithAndrew  Рік тому +2

      a 2 hour podcast would probably end up being a 10 hour video at least hahaha there's just way too much to explain, not just language-wise, but cultural and fight-specific things as well. I don't really offer private lessons, but I'd love to see how I could help you...shoot me a DM if you'd like.

    Randomly clicked on this video. But I’ve been wanting to hear a good translation of AP for a while now. I’m not learning the language necessarily but I do appreciate him as a fighter and want to know him better.. great video!

    Hey Andrew your channel is amazing! Being a MMA fan and a lover for romance languages I learned a lot from you :) Do you mind explaining what's the filler word "b[p]oa" that Alex says a lot? Thanks!

    • @DecodingWordswithAndrew
      @DecodingWordswithAndrew  5 місяців тому +2

      I appreciate it Francis! If you watch my Anderson Silva video (not the Portuguese vs Spanish one but the other more recent one), I actually explain it there. Basically, “pô” is a euphemism for “porra”, which is used kind of like the F-word in English. In this case, it’s used basically as a filler word, as you mentioned…really common, but it is kinda frowned upon as unrefined speech when overused.
