I am playing it less than a year. Got it close to the new year celebration.
It took time to produce the unit (ok), during COVID shortages, but also it was hard for me to get it delivered it to my country where dhl/fedex/ups refuse to work due to unbearable conditions and bureaucracy. Spent additional year to solve logistics, while Stick was gathering dust at my US located friend's house. Even made a DIY surrogate tapping guitar based on tapladder's design while waiting.
I love that Railboard I've finally got. Only thing I regret - i should have done that years earlier.
I had no idea that this was the instrument John Myung was playing, or even that this bass even existed! I knew this had to be too hard to play on a regular bass... Incredible.
Well, technically this isn't a bass per se, but a mix of bass and guitar. ;)
It _can_ be played on a regular bass, except for those super high notes on the guitar side during the instrumental section (the keyboardist in the band can play them instead). It's been eons since I learned how to play this song, and I'm not sure if I remember how to actually play it, but fact is, it's possible.
He plays it on the Budokan dvd I think.

I didn't know about Greg!! He was an inspiration for me to decide buying the stick!
@@Weignater yeah, I guess he must have been an inspiration for a lot of stick players! I really enjoyed his album "Stick Figures", to the point that I was considering buying a stick, but never pulled the plug. Every now and then I would check on google/youtube what he was up to, that's how I found out about his passing, a very sad news.

You should because of the independency of the instrument. But its not as comfortable as a bass. I love it anyway. But I recommend for those who are well determined.
