I love Stoneground Paints! I have ALOT of their colors and I highly recommend. Really reasonable price for high quality paints. I just tried their gouache………also very impressed. Conveniently in pans and just as easy to re wet and use as their watercolor. As a Canadian…….they are a natural choice for me. The customer service is second to none too. Lots of personal attention to every order and generous extras included with my orders occasionally too!
Yes I’m loving them! I’m so glad to have them. I might be thinking of trying their gouache in the near.
I have one set of Stoneground Paints (the “large earth” set) and I *love* them! It’s a set that I grab when I want to do a landscape, but I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to figure out what colours to mix. Many of the colours in my set are natural looking and can be used without mixing. I can’t remember if any of mine are hard to wet? They can’t be too annoying, or I’d remember that lol. Anyway, I’ve been looking at other sets and trying to decide on which one I might want to pick up. I’m in Canada and my local art store carries Stoneground (and I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket 😂).
They are beautiful paints, and that gift card burning a hole - oh ya!!!
I need more watercolours like I need another hole in my head, but you have convinced me to buy some of these paints. I am Canadian, so I should support my fellow Canadians anyway. ;) Great video!
Ya I feel the same, it’s just so easy to justify a couple half pans, lol there so pretty and don’t take up a lot of space and…. The reasons just go on. Especially when the paints are this beautiful.
I second that emotion!! WOW!!!😮😂❤
Oh ya, WOW!
This is the first time I’ve seen these. Awesome
They are lovely paints. Thank you.
They have a brick and mortar store here in Regina. Love going in there and the people in there are amazing. I’m wanting to take some classes from them.
Oh would I have a field day at the store. Really sounds like a place of enjoyment.
Quite fun seeing the swatches.
Thank you! They are beautiful. I’m quite impressed.
Wow they absolutely surprised me espacially with the blues 😍
Yes! A wow on a few colors.
I will say I love the blues in the “large earth” palette as well. It has Mayan Royal Blue and Mayan Indigo Blue and they are gorgeous.
Beautiful! Tabitha…..did you pick these colors or are they a palette? Also….have you tried the gouache paints?
I picked the colors, and the gouache is on my want list. Thank you.
That caput mortuum is delightful! And the mayan red - they seem to be granulating?
Yes! Wonderful! Even on hot press.
Definitely a must on my next wish list! I went in their website and they have sets already arranged. Did you buy these individually and if so do they give you a tin?
They were on my wishlist for a while. I bought colors individually and they gave me a tin with them.
Would it be correct to assume that these aren't good paints if you like flat washes? These colors look very mottled.
I think they can give a flat wash. They are similar feel to AGallo. Smooth and some granular. I use lots of water on hot press Saunders Waterford (soft) paper so the flow would be smoother on a harder sized paper and the granulation more on rough paper.
@@RaspberryColors Thanks so much!
Wish I could have read the hand writing better, most of it was illegible to me ,sorry to say. Would be better printed clearly.
Sorry for the difficulties. I’ll try better.
@@RaspberryColors thanks sometimes I have trouble hearing so rely more on the written to help identify paints. Very good video otherwise, thank you. 😊
