    Thanks for the history lesson! Your channel is awesome. There was a brief mention in a history textbook I read about something called the "willow palisade". If i remember correctly it was meant to keep northern raiders out of China, i cant remember if it was Manchu or a different group. I suppose I'll be needing to dig that rabbit hole a bit. Anyway, i appreciate the video!

      Edit. Boy it's been a while since that class. I forgot that it was intended to keep people OUT of Manchuria 🤦

    Ni hao from Brazil. Very interesting video. I really apreciate it. I have a doubt that maybe you can explain. I never undestood what Manchu and Manchúria really means. Is a people, a place, a region? I will be very greatful if you can explain it. Thanks for the great video and history classroom. Fascinating 🪷

      @@Beijaflordaamazonia Manchu are descendants of Jurchen and are a part of the Tungusic ethnolinguistic family. Nurhaci united his Jurchen people, renaming them Manchu (off of a particular social class) and conquered China. I'll make a video about them in the future!
