That's great! just like watching a TV program. :)
Aww.. I miss my 婆婆's cooking especially her tasty jok!! I'll be seeing her this summer when I go to HK so I'll get to relive her yummy cooking soon!
That's good. Let's learn some nice dishes from her.
So lucky.

Oh! Thank you for supporting. I am trying to upload recipe twice a month. Hope you will like it.:)
Perfect! The only thing I wouldn't do is cook it in a slow cooker. Everything becomes wayy too mushy. I like to do it over the stove. So that the rice isn't toosoft or too hard. Does this recipe make it taste like salty pork congee? I tried some at SF in California and it was delicious.
It should be nice. Thank you for supporting! :)
May I ask why must the pork be soak with salt for such a Long time ?
What is the purpose of that?
the pork will become more tasty . :)
because the saltiness of the salt will go in the pork. you rinse the pork so the salt outisde will be washed off but the taste inside will be salty
Think of it as a pseudo brine
love your channel and how she work in the kitchen . I hope this lady is well and healthy.
Thank you! she enjoy cooking and feel happy to share recipe!
This looks really tasty but oh, so labor intensive and time consuming. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
How much water do you use? In the video you say 6 cups of water but in the recipe, it states 12 cups water under the picture. Please clarify. Thanks
I've been watching these videos in no particular order and I just realized that granny is left handed.
I can say it's your own way making congee, but it's definitely not Hong Kong style / recipe. In fact, you're misleading
Wow! That looks delicious. I will need to cook this asap.
Please try to avoid waste of water
Recipe is too good

The cured lettuce isn't rinsed before it's added to the dish? Cool!

yes, most of the salt is gone along with lettuce juice. :)
