Ahh just a shame that all us Elvis fans who really love this kind of Elvis history couldn't just nip back in time to 1955..etc and see for ourselves some of the amazing events that took place then involving the King. It was still cool to watch this extended version of your video.👍😎

It was nice to meet your Dad Billy. I can see why they call him Noah. That's a big boat. He seems nice too. That's interesting how a little town can have a little piece of Elvis history. I wonder what other ones there are we don't know about but, we don't have to know everything. It's a shame that building is falling apart. They fix it up or, put a sign there so people know Elvis was there. I can't wait to see to see the 2nd part. If it wasn't for you taking the time to research this stuff we would never know about this store either. If was waiting all of the time for someone to explore it. There's a lot we don't know about Elvis before he became famous.

I don't understand WHY anybody would "thumb-down". It almost hardn's me to hate ones that seem don't consider the effort, ....and expense to present such input from you, etc. "If ya can't say anything good about.... Whatever, just say... or do nothing. Some to most seem to have to have an input! ...(ok, so i ain't any different. ....at least I'm leaning towards the positive, wanting to remind ones not to be negatively rude) well hey..... In the 1950s the bridge across the Neuse went right from the end of Broad street to straight to Bridgeton, right behind where the Hardees is now
I know 17 was right in front of the venue down the shoreline..
There are a number of apps out there that will show you historical topographical maps. The bridge from Broad street, New Bern to Bridgeton is noted in the 1950 map as "under construction" so it would be fair to assume that it was finished by 1955. The newer bridge that you crossed in the video did not open until 1999.

This pertains not to this video but to the pilot you interviewed who wanted to find footage of the entire funeral procession so that he could spot his ear at the end. Elvis Funeral Movie on UA-cam by TheKingForever shows a long procession from the air that might help.
I never got notations about this video the.long version like to hear about Elvis when he first started out

I remember Hwy 17 very well going from New Bern to PA on leave from the military. I remember the original bridge that went straight out of New Bern. As you went across the bridge there was a railroad bridge to your left. That might be what your seeing way over. The pylons from that. Or id the train bridge still there? Have to check Google earth.
Check the latest image on Google earth and the original and train bridge are completely gone. Pylons too.
