Strength doesn't mean he is healthy. He is morbidly obese and at that weight its not due to genetics, its due to poor diet and lifestyle. In no way are you coreect about anything you just said. Even if he was a healthy guy, those were quarter squats meaning no rep, no rep, no rep. Yes there are plenty of reasons someone can be a little chubby or fat but this guy is extremely overweight and in most cases its due to poor habits like unhealthy foods and not being active/physically fit.
@@pattyj.1181 actually, in “most cases” it is due to external factors such as where you were born, how you were raised, what your income level was and is, how you were treated by your peers and others in your life and how that shaped your self-image, how many times you tried to “diet” and damaged your body through unsustainable malnutrition, etc. People out there touting the “calories in, calories out,” and “the second law of thermodynamics,” haven’t ever bothered to actually look into either of those things, which are theories from the 1950-1960s, and don’t actually hold up other than in a vacuum, which is not where life happens. People can live healthy lives and be fat. People can lead unhealthy lives and be skinny. Even the use of the term “morbid obesity” is from the antiquated BMI index, an index created by health insurance companies that does not and has never even been able to work for cultures who are nonwhite (specifically science tried to use the BMI on Black folks and realized the BMI system was broken, but they kept it anyway). Do yourself a favor and read a book or listen to some information from people who are not in the fitness industry and are just selling you on your next protein powder or supplement. Are there unhealthy fat people? Absolutely. But that doesn’t mean you can look at someone in a video and immediately go, “yup, that person is too fat and is unhealthy.” The guy in the video might go to the gym 3 days a week, walk 3 miles every day, and be quite active, but his body doesn’t shed weight like you. The fact that he may not be able to run a marathon, or even run a mile nonstop does not make someone unhealthy. It means you’ve labeled them as such because you set preconceived determinations of what you think health should look like.
@@stevenhalterman2002 You can ramble on and use as many buzzwords as you want, but seeing a 400 pound guy and saying he is healthy is a new level of stupidity. Most of what you are saying is true and obvious. The sum of your first two paragraphs is literally 'not everyone is created equal.' I realize all those factors can effect someones weight, especially if they are already inclined to be on the heavy side but saying that he is in good health is a lie. My point is that it doesnt matter if he ate the exact same diet as I do and worked out just as much or more, cause that much excess fat on a human body will undeniably cause several health problems no matter what. Being as overweight as he is, the fat can cause joint problems, heart disease(even with good diet and exercise), sleep apnea/problems, type 2 diabetes, strokes, hormone imbalances, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and many MANY more. I realize some of these come from poor eating habits but most, like strokes and heart attacks, can effect an obese person even if they eat a healthy diet. This is why everyone needs to take it upon themselves and learn how their body reacts to their flexible diet and adjust since all people react to calories in differently. Yes some people may get to eat anything they want and stay skinny while most have to watch what they eat but thats just how our bodies work. If you want to truly be in good health then you will take the steps to watch your macros/micros to avoid being TOO obese and stay somewhat active. In summary, yes a skinny and obese person can have the same exact diet and daily routine but that amount of excess fat cannot and will not ever be considered healthy for a human body. Side note: Yes I know skinny people can also be extremely unhealthy aswell.
@@stevenhalterman2002 I hope I explained my point well but if not here is a video by jeff nippard who explains it very well. He uses studies and science and actually proves a lot of your points but also points out why its not a sustainable life style. ua-cam.com/video/keBZfGAmq2Q/v-deo.html
@@pattyj.1181 my point was merely that you can’t look at someone and decide based on their appearance or their height and weight whether they are healthy or not. I agree with a lot of Jeff’s points in the video, but again I’m not going to look at a man who is doing quarter squats and because he has more fatty tissue in his legs and can’t press all the way down to do a full press, use that to determine whether or not he’s healthy.

I have been following tutorials for a month now still the same streak of losing. 'n Tutorials alone won't help, you need to improve your knowledge about it or seek help from experts, that's the only successful way.
This is such a great series. You have an amazing personality and great social skills which makes these kinds of vids perfect. Thanks man!

At around 15:30 is the reason that people should stop equating weight with physical fitness and health. Love this.
