- Welcome back to another video. Thank you for watching. Please give the video a like and subscribe to our channel. We still have a lot of awesomeness coming to our channel.
I have never done a ball python enclosure set up video. I keep so many and have never done a video to show how I keep hatchling to juvenile ball pythons before they go into our rack system. So, here it is! This is how I keep our new acquired ball python hatchlings. Most of my hatchlings come from people I know and trust, so they go onto coconut husk substrate. If I don't know the person/breeder, then I will use paper towels to monitor its overall health. Hope you enjoy the video and find it helpful in getting your new ball python hatchling set up for HEALTHY life.

🎉 GREAT VIDEO🎉
You should try to get a taller tub for your ball python. They don’t climb much, but they do need the extra height for when they look up or whatever.
Ball pythons are predominantly bottom dwellers and with no predictors, they do not need height in an enclosure. As adults, some people like provide a 4’x2’ with a height of 18 inches. Babies stay hidden and like a lot of coverage which is why height is not recommended. To much open space will cause stress which leads to problems eating. Adults enclosures are a little different than a baby to juvenile enclosure.
