Rare thumbs down for this video.
Unlike similar previous videos, this one lacks the caveat/disclaimer that Watchfinder is owned by A. Lange & Söhne.
Oh, and lower production volume does not equate to "more prestige," it just means intentionally limiting supply (and having less production facilities/employees) to artificially inflate "exclusivity" and price.
Lastly, the audio quality on this video is subpar.

Just to show the difference between ALS and PP when I got my Triple Split they offered me a tour of the factory and was introduced to several watchmakers that were involved in the assembly of the watch. That's for a 200k watch. People that buy a 200k PP just wait for months on end and then get it on the mail.

For sure Lange makes nicer and better built watches than PP. PP has not much of a future. It'll soon be surpassed by MB&F and possibly even Greubel Forsey whose finishing is on a whole different level. PP isn't bad but Lange is better.

I especially liked the earlier reference to Rolex - “They make 800,000 to a million per year. If you laid them out end to end, it still wouldn’t be as long as a Rolex waiting list.”

@@Valera_Scotland Stupid thing is, I remember about four years ago I was picking up an Oris 65, and I stopped at the local Rolex AD to check out a Polar Explorer 2. It was just about a week after the Paul Newman Daytona went to auction. I was able to walk into the AD, ask to see that Explorer in the window, he sat with me while I tried it on (and commented about the size of the lugs), and I said in all confidence that I’d be back for it for my birthday in a few months.
      My, how things change…

1440 minutes in each, I keep track of them with my datejust. Time is money. I bought my used Rolex when i got serious about time management. I borrowed the money for my Rolex 4 years ago. My point in sharing my story, isn’t about fashion. Its about my time on earth. I wear mine always (running a roofing company, gardening and building Motocycles).

I will completely agree. A Lange & Söhne has everything, Craftsmanship, design, movements, finishing and now reputation. I had no hesitate to pick rose gold Lange 1 when I decided to purchase a watch for my daily office wearing. It was a easy decision and I had never thought anything else. It is so pretty, so recognizable and also keeping low key.

Lange is in a classic "Apple v Microsoft" marketing dilemma. Patek does something to watch collectors that Lange just doesn't (yet) - that is not a battle that can be fought with technical achievements, finishing, etc. It is a battle for the heart, one that Lange doesn't seem to understand. I agree that modern Lange is better than modern Patek, but Patek has over a dozen truly iconic references. Calatrava, Nautilus, Complications, Grand Complications, etc. Additionally, Lange sincerely needs to focus on wearability. If they start putting out Zeitwerks or Datographs in 38mm cases, 46mm lug to lug, and 10mm thick? Christ, look out.

Not only can no one else pronounce it correctly, neither can you. I absolutely love A. Lange & Sohne watches. Each one a masterpiece. Their watchmakers names should be as well known as Caravaggio, Frank Lloyd Wright, Beethoven, Chaucer and many many more.
