My dad use to make duck blood just exactly like that except in a plates an bowl ! He chops up the meats and slice the organs for example liver ! He puts peanuts and mint leaf on the plate and the duck blood get soft ! Yummy ❤

While I admire your courage, I once had food poisoning from eating these, even when prepared by my own family members at home. You can never really tell if they're safe to eat or not until it's too late. This is why I see fewer and fewer Vietnamese eat these things.

Props to you, my friend! You are bolder than half of Vietnamese population. I tried this on my first time as a dare and got used to it. Tbh, still not a big fan. But one key difference I notice between homemade and serving places like street food and restaurants is for serving like this, the blood is some sort of diluted or seasoned to reduce the gammy and bloody taste of the duck blood. A true testimony is when you get invited to a special occasion like a wedding, the chef cuts the duck throat, pours the blood straight to the dish and serves you. That hits me in a completely different level.

Duck's blood is quite safe to eat and not fishy at all. Fresh and bit buttery taste, good for summer days. Lots of proteins, micronutrient, mineral (kali, zinc and iron)....

Tiet Canh is downright addictive, I can't eat Tiet Canh when I was still a kid tho but now I can't imagine a world without it lol and a shot of strong liquor is highly recommended.

I ate this dish when i was young. I haven’t Eat it since. But I must admit that dish does taste good not because of the blood but the combination of other ingredients and fresh vegetables.

Khi bạn Ăn tiết canh, khi tiết đã đông lại rồi thì không nên trộn như vậy, Tiết sẽ bị lỏng ra, có vị tanh và không ngon. Nên để nguyên và xúc từng miếng một. Uống thêm 1 vài ly rượu nữa thì tuyệt vời

Tuyệt đối không ăn tiết canh lợn.
Chỉ nên ăn tiết canh vịt hoặc ngan nhưng cũng nên ăn ít thôi. Khi nào cơ thể cảm thấy không khỏe,mệt mệt thì không nên ăn.
Khi ăn nên cho 2 thì giấm ngâm tỏi, thêm ớt bột, vặt lá húng quế, lá mùi tàu (hay còn gọi là ngò gai - loại lá có răng cưa), rau ngổ, ngắt đoạn vừa ăn, phủ kín bề mặt tiết.
Múc từng miếng tiết canh như múc miếng thạch có kèm phủ các loại lá rau gia vị ở trên và ăn...

1) Fermented Bean Curd (Chao) - it's very healthy and stinky!! Like stinky blue-cheese I ate this before.
2) Horse Meat Hot Pot from Sapa 🐴
3) Offal stew (Phá lấu)🐷🐂🦆
4) Fried crickets (Dế chiên) 🦗

It’s really good. The taste is so special but not fishy at all. I tried it when i was little. My family used to raised duck so it’s pretty safe to eat. Now i don’t eat it because i’m not sure it’s clean, not because it’s gross. Set aside all assumptions and people will realize that if many people like something it must be for a reason.
If it’s fishy, then it was made in a wrong way 😂

Nhưng phải chọn con vật để ăn tiết canh phải nuôi sạch, tránh ấu trùng có hại trong tiết. Có thêm mấy chén rượu 40 độ thì ngon hơn. Bạn vào sách thuốc của cụ Lãn Ông thăm khảo thêm nhé. hồi xưa nhà mình có nguyên trang trại gà, vịt, ngan. Ngày nào cũng ăn tiết canh, nhưng sau khi bán hết đi thì nhà mình ko còn ăn nữa. Hỏi bố mẹ làm sao thì họ nói chỉ dám ăn thứ mình tự nuôi, chứ tiết ở ngoài rất sợ bị nhiễm sán hay có vi khuẩn độc hại

Tiết canh khá lành tính. Có điều tiết canh rất dễ có vi khuẩn và nhiễm vi khuẩn. Quan trọng nhất vẫn là chọn ngan sạch. Không nhiễn bệnh. Đặc biệt là giun sán.

Cũng tuỳ, có nhiều người Việt Nam còn không dám ăn món này mà. Như mình thì mẹ không cho ăn thử vì không ngon đến mức phải ăn để biết, mà nhỡ đâu dính sán,... phát là nghẻo cmnl =)))) không nên liều. Còn với cơ sở chế biến đạt chuẩn rồi thì tốt, nhưng biết đâu được.

Due to health concern, it is not popular now a day. It used to be a must have disk in each family each time there is a festivity event. They put salt in the blood after slaughter to keep it from solidify. then dilute it a gain when serve, so the blood will get a thicken texture. Thats how you get the jelly body and very mind iron taste.
