My uncle/friend whom went to this show with me passed away this last week. Bumping this for him..>EPIC set of music. We both agreed it was insanely good, among the best we've ever seen.
Sweet! you got this one to be able to focus on the band!! I have to confess that seeing this has given me respect for the drummer. I lost interest in the group since David's departure, and probably truly first when Head left, even though he came back eventually. I thought of David as such a needed core element that I didn't even bother listening after that. My first time seeing them was in '95 @ Red Rocks opening for Megadeth. It was other-worldly. Saw them 4 times in the 2nd half of '95, @ Ogden, Paramount, and then on New Year's Eve w/Ozzy. Then a few more times in '96-'97 @ Ogden & Mammoth. They were touring fiends back then!! Their shows were above anything else any other group could ever do. Unmatched energy. Red Rocks has to be the best venue on Earth when you factor the sound, seating, and overall environment.
I see a lot of shows, and that Korn @ Red Rocks show was incredible. The crowd energy that night was off the hook. That was early in my concert filming career:)
@@jeremiahrogers3023 They definitely have a way of doing that to an audience! I do see they have aged, and not to knock this show whatsoever, but only to say that the way they used to do a show back in the mid/late-90s...They were something else. The amount of their banging or hair toss has gone down somewhat. You can see it in some older videos. I also used to go to a lot of shows, and once I saw them, the new standard was set. On a completely different level than anyone else. It was amazing seeing them as openers, or in small venues. Metallica used to really get things going, too. But there was something different about KoRn. I saw Metallica at Alpine Valley in '88, and they were also somewhat unknown...they played 2nd in a lineup of 5. They did the same thing, and stole the show & at an energy that was a whole new thing. I can't even imagine trying to film at a KoRn show. I spend the whole time moving. So I have to hand it to you there. I couldn't do it.
Korn played at the Coor's Light Mountain Jam @ Red rocks with P.O.D., Evanescence, 50 cent (worst show ever) in 2003. Korn played right before 50 Cent came out and literally half the Venue Left right after they finished playing.
Im not hating on ya when I say Ive seen Korn three times...once in 99' when touring with Rob Zombie, another time a like 5 years ago on the Mayhem Festival, and then this time at Red Rocks. They sounded BYFAR the best at this Red Rocks show. It was REALLY good.

That's a great story thanks for sharing. Im a red rocks junkie, I love hearing about good shows there...or bad 50 cent sets.
This gives me more proof that Korn should just disappear. Jonathan voice sounds fucked. And I like Korn, so don't call me a hater or anything.
