- टफ टकमा आज मैले खेलकुद क्षेत्र, त्यसमा पनि पौडीबाट एउटा यस्तो अतिथिलाई निम्त्याएका छु जसको चर्चा दिनानुदिन बढ्दो छ । नेपाली पौडीमा आगमन भएको छोटो समयमा नै किर्तीमान माथी किर्तीमान थप्दै किर्तीमानकी पर्यायवाची बन्दै गरेकी, यस पटकको ओलम्पिकमा सबै भन्दा कान्छो खेलाडी भनेर विश्वभर चर्चा कमाएकी खेलाडी । अब तपाईहरुले अनुमान लगाइसक्नुभयो होला । ३० वटा राष्टिय किर्तीमान बनाउन सफल र हालै ब्राजिलमा सम्पन्न रियो ओलम्पिकमा आप्mनो हिटमा पहिलो भएर नया“ इतिहास बनाएकी खेलाडी हुन गौरीका सिंह ।
विशेष गरि पौडी खेलका लागि आवश्यक पुर्वाधारको कमी, त्यसमा पनि नेपाली पौडीमा राम्रा र नियमित रुपमा पछिसम्म मिहनेत गर्ने खेलाडीको कमि जस्ता कारणले गर्दा विशेष गरी महिला तर्पm गौरीका सिंहमाथि यतिबेला धरैले आशा गरेका छन । १३ बर्षको उमेरमा नै खेलकुदको महाकुम्भ मेला ओलम्पिकमा सहभागिता जनाउनु आफैमा गर्वको कुरा हो । हामी आजको कार्यक्रममा गौरीकाको पौडी प्रतिको लगाब, यसका लागि उनलाई उपलब्ध पारिवारिक साथ, १३ बर्षको उमेरमा नै ओलम्पिक खेल्दाको अनुभव, बेलायतमा बसेर पनि नेपालबाट नै खेल्ने निर्णय लिनु जस्ता कारणका बारेमा कुरा गर्नेछौ ।
गौरीकाको लक्ष्यलाई होस्टेमा हौसे गर्ने र जस्तो सुकै परिस्थितीमा पनि सधै साथ रहने उनका अभिभावक मध्ये गौरीकाकी आमा गरिमा राणा सिंह पनि आजको टफ टकमा हुनुहुन्छ ।
