Dayahang Rai (born April 13, 1980) is a Nepalese actor, director, and play writer. He has won the National Award for Best Actor. He rose to prominence on the 2002s television series Yuva, Dalan and Hamro Team becoming an Idol actor for all.
Since then, Rai has taken on challenging and "larger-than-life" roles, starting with a leading actor in "Anagarik" in 2006, and then playing more others. He later found success in the film "Dashdhunga" (2009), the action film "Loot" (2012), the action film "Chhadke" (2013), the drama film "Badhshala" (2013), the musical comedy film "Karkash" (2013), the dark comedy "Jholey" (2014), the romantic comedy "Kabaddi" (2014) and its a sequels, the political drama film "Talakjung VS Tulke" (2014), and political drama film "Sambodhan" (2014). He has collaborated on four films with director and friend Ram Babu Gruung.
Rai is regarded as one of the biggest movie stars after in Nepal. Rai has been nominated for major acting awards, including two nominations for National Award. Rai won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2009 for "Dashdhunga" and Best Actor of year in 2014 for "Sambodhan".[1][2][3]

I usually do not like nepali movie and actors but I liked him lots, I hv seen some of his movie and I think he is the only actor in nelali movie industry who has realistic acting talent..... he is awesome and proved that to actor one shouldn't only have six abs and good looking. ....love u dayahan rai.... keep it up. ....

I stop watching Nepali movies but when I watched kabbadi movie staring Dayahang Rai,Rishma Gurung and other versatile actors had change my opinion about Nepali cinema....now I am big fan of him.

i do not know why people are saying bad things to Kirat in some nepali video. They should not disrespect kirat. do you know that kirat are descendants of lord shiva? yes kirat people are putra and putri of lord shiva. Kirat god is mahadev. Mahadev is kul devta of kirat. kiratis are descendants of lord shiva mahadev. And yes i don’t mind Kirats to be in political power if Kirati leaders, ministers can rebuild Nepal, give us justice and equality, provide us with security and other basic needs like electricity water.
i am sick and tired of current system and current govt. of Nepal. i don't even have trust in them today. As for Kiratis, they should not only aspire to become mercenary gurkha soldiers or singers. Kiratis should now envision to work in rebuilding of Nepal. Kiratis should engage in politics and government jobs of Nepal. Honestly speaking we know the same bahun chettry ministers officials have been doing corruption again and again and again.In short they are incapable to lead and run the country. they always seems to make bad decision for Nepal. Because of these we all Nepalese are sufferings one way or the other. For example I am working in the Gulf country. what to do cause there is simply no jobs back home. Our government fail to create jobs. During the election time, I see common bahun chettry people vote these same corrupted officials and minsters to the post again because they want to see their own relatives and their own people capture the political power in Nepal. This is tragedy. This is a big mistake. Instead of removing these corrupted bahun chettry officials ministers from power, they are given the ministerial seat and power again. People of Nepal must understand this. we must now stop giving vote to the same corrupted bahun chettry ministers again. We must elect leaders from adivasi janajati dalits and madhesis to lead the country. i hope all common bahun chettry people give vote to adivasi janajati madhesis and dalit leaders.
