- We are back again with another unboxing a review…this time of the Boldr Voyage - Antarctic. This is a Gada watch that is typically boldr in everything it does… namely being big and made to be beaten to within an inch of it’s life!
But is it worth it? Well let’s find out…

Great review. I got mine a couple of months ago. Loving it
Great to hear! Its a good watch thanks for watching the video :)
This looks like the Serica Commando with fotina lume. I never checked the price on the Serica, but I'm guessing it's way more than this one. +1 goes to the Boldr! lol
Nice review I got mine yesterday, and I think I got a good deal 369euro from serious watches including all taxes( I live in Ireland) At that price it's a good buy I think, beautiful dial , tough very legible, only thing I don't like is the male endings on the bracelet, I had to ditch it for a strap ,cheers.
Awesome! Enjoy and wear with pride!!
How did you get it for that price ?
How's the experience with the watch till now ? Wear it in good health 🎉
@thomess hi, I'm a regular customer of serious watches so they give a good discount, nice watch only let down by the bracelet male end links are a big no no for me , typical boldr quality and regulated too , thanks for the message
Nice watch just wish it was slightly cheaper!
Based on reviews like this and the specs on their website, I bought this watch. Big mistake! The damn thing stops and/or slows down randomly. For example, last night overnight it lost about 45 minutes despite having been worn all the day, i.e. it should have been fully wound up with its 41 hr power reserve. It has done this before. The “helpful” idiot at Boldr sent me instructions on how to wind the watch, ffs! Firstly, I know how to wind a watch, but secondly, it’s automatic and I shouldn’t have to wind it when it is worn consistently. When it has run “properly” it runs fast. I suppose it is within the loosey-goosey specs that Seiko puts on their out of the box movements, but has Boldr ever heard of the idea of regulating a watch before selling it? Bottom line, they ask a lot of money for an unreliable POS, and their customer service and warranty is lame, to say the least!
One look at that dial and I already know this isn't bombproof. No mechanical movement will ever be remotely as durable as even the cheapest quartz movement, especially a Seiko NH which are far from the tanks they used to be. I can already imagine people getting watches with filthy movements running -25s a day. I own 3 NH watches and 2 7S watches, and I don't wear any of them because they all died on their own in less than 2 years, some even dying in the first months of use. Hardest I've worn my watches is going for a walk, so It's definitely not me. I miss my SKX and SNK, poor buggers didn't even see a day at the beach, let alone the outdoors.
Needed to be $200 less with a VH31 or Miyota high-torque gold movement. That price is simply far too high for a watch worth $200 tops. This also looks borderline unwearable for anyone with a wrist under 7 inches. By looks alone this looks 40mm x 53mm but I could be wrong, especially since those endlinks extend the case length by a bunch.
That’s a great point. At the price I can’t recommend it in good faith to anyone. I’d recommend saving the cash and buying a Timex expedition north instead!
Thanks for the comment!!
