    I always thought I preferred FF over the big muff until I got a big muff deluxe. I think I prefer the smoothness over the more Velcrowy sound of the FF. The big muff has replaced my FF as main distortion pedal.

    In general, Muffs sounds more like a "true distortion"...if you want a true fuzz tone, FF are more loyal

    I have a Gibson ES335TD and a Stratocaster, The Bridge Pickup on my 335 gets High End & the Neck has a Fatter Tone, Bass Players that want more Bottom Pluck Closer to the Neck and by The Bridge for High End. I found on the 335 and Bass, finding the Balance between the 2 was a Task Worthy of Pursuing for the Sound you might Prefer on different Sections of Songs. You already Know Every Guitar has it's own Sound.

      It's amazing, I don't think the video audio did it justice.

    Great video man! I enjoyed watching this as I am exploring different fuzzes and still deciding which will be my first!

    Nice video. I have never gotten to like fuzz, I have a BigMuff on my board just for "Comfortably Numb", but other than that... Many other people make fuzz sound nice though, so maybe it IS in the fingers?

      you just have to know how to play fuzz, 90% of making fuzz sound good is simplifying what you're playing

    I beg to differ about the two titans, there are three, and the Tone Bender is King of them all -- and without the Tone Bender you wouldn't even have a Fuzz Face. But a great video as always nonetheless,

      Tone bender fuzz is very important fuzz they reckon Hendrix used a tone bender in late 1966 and early 1967 and like it. Also Tone Bender is the Jimmy page tone. They reckon all fuzz faces Hendrix played were never stock cause he didn’t like the stock fuzz face pedal. Voodoo chile when he recorded it in May 1968 they reckon Mike Matthews made him an early fuzz which was a big muff before it was a big muff and sold on in shops before he put it out.

      @@lostgroovemusic8494 click onto my channel if you like. I've just done a review of a Tone Bender style pedal and I do a bit Led Zep. I always enjoy Middle Aged Gear Junkie's videos, he gets conversation going and that's good.

      @Zen Tone Benders were a three transistor circuit, Fuzz Faces were two. But there was a brief two transistor Tone Bender and that's where the connection is. Other people much smarter than me can explain it better, but the Tone Bender was first.

      I agree about the importance of the tone bender, however, they were never mass produced.

      @NewFalconerRecords Рік тому

      @@JasonAyalaSpare Yes, very true, they never had consistent flow of production. I love how the early units were basically Lettraset with nail varnish over the top. They were the original "boutique" builders.

    Hej! Jag äger ingen Fuzz, men har länge varit nyfiken på den stora Fuzzface du testar. Vi vill ju alla låta lite som Hendrix ibland😊 Här i södra Sverige är nu hösten här och det är mysigt. Tack för denna video!

      Hej Eva, det tog mig ett tag att vänja mig vid fuzz, men jag måste säga att jag föredrar fuzz face-stilen. När brukar det börja snöa där du bor?

      It’s better for solos and power chords
