The score stood strong for over 3 years, until finally being conquered by one of the best players the game has ever seen... both insane plays, but Shige's score will always be more special, at least for me
I mean Whitecat's score has lower acc and is no mod. It's an inferior score compared to Shige's. Whitecat no doubt will FC eventually though

Amazing! Legends never die. Cookiezi will always have his name burned into this game. Unfortunate that he’s old and has different things to do, but that’s inevitable. WhiteCat being young, he can really change the scoreboard to many maps. Although, Cookiezi will forever remain my favorite Osu! Player.

Everyone forgeting Whitecat was not even able to pass this few months ago. Look at him now, running around and finally setting all those "elite scores." I am a fairly new player but I can say with confidence that Whitecat will be the "next cookiezi"

Well yes but actually no. Most new players get blinded by combo and pp but as you can clearely see, Cookiezi got way higher acc with HD and also got an HDHR pass with 3x1000 combo (1400pp for FC) with just 7 more misses and 97.50% acc, a score that no one is even able to (no one ever passed this maps +HDHR) also WhiteCat will not be the next Cookiezi because Cookiezi is Cookiezi, his score were way ahead of their times and even though WhiteCat learned to stream 220-230 he is not even close to master 260-270 which is already mastered by many 3 digit and old players that aren't even playing anymore. Cookiezi has an unrivalled HD ability and has many un-snipable score (HDHR SS and DTHD is not possible on these maps) and is the best at technical maps. So you can't say with confidence WhiteCat will be Cookiezi because their skillset are different, while WhiteCat scores are snipable by other players in his skillset (Freddie Benson, Alumetri, Micca ect...) Cookiezi is still ahead of everyone in his skillset. The difference is that Cookiezi was good everywhere, WhiteCat is only good at DT/DTHR and farm maps. And no, his few FCs on maps like Euphoria or his S rank on Happy song are not unique scores, they are snipable by HD players who just needs a couple of retries to FC those maps.

He is not a god that has scores out of human capabilities. Sure, his scores are nice BUT they WERE ahead of their time. Whitecat's scores are massively underestimated. He doesn't get nearly enough respect and people still unironically calling him a "one trick" or a "DT farmer" are just dellusional. I am no fanboy. The best thing imo about this game is to watch ridiculous scores being set, which is why it makes me so irritated to watch half of the community bashing him. Also, he WAS the best. The bias is starting to get sickening to be honest
