he reached #1 with a playcount less than 5k.. he has like a max pc with a total amount of 130k-140k! (including his old pc, his new one and the offline one) How am i suppost to get as good as him ?? i have already a 120k playcount.. and im not even close to him ..

I have played for a 1000 + hours but Im not close to being like cookiezi but what I can say is that there are like certain "stages" of an osu! player: he sucks but trains hard - starts geting the hang of his goal but cant fully do it without fucking up - gits gud and has a breakthrough game and is a god until he finds the next brick wall to try and break. When you are in the zone, in your god mode, when you git gud you melt maps hella fast, basically the journey is long and the god mode isnt. Thats why when you look at certain players progression graph they have like huge spikes followed by not getting a single rank until another great spike (at least where Im sitting right now it is that way) you can catch up to cookiezi, plus he *probably* wont play forever.

The most ahead score ever set, I seriously challenge anyone to find a play more ahead of its time than this, 1000pp possible on Yomi Yori of all things in FEBRUARY 2017, wow, just wow, I cannot put into words how far ahead Cookiezi was.
His freedom dive [four dimensions] 99.97% fc was more ahead of his time. In 2013 freedom dive was the hardest ranked map and the leaderboard was full of ht scores. 10 years later and his nomod fc is still unbeaten.
Everything will freeze 2 miss +hdhr from 2016. Still no one even passed this map with hdhr.
@Leon-uh6ipmrekk is still very ahead of the competition, but other players have started choking 1.5ks as well.

For anyone here in 2021, let’s think back. This was set four years ago. Top leaderboard plays by players like fieryrage are 97 acc with HT. Nowadays players like whitecat and eternum have gotten higher combo plays yet nobody has gotten even a nomod play with as high of acc. Even eternum’s 1 miss has lower acc nomod. Not to put shade on their plays, but I still think it’s unthinkable that this was set in 2017 and IMO is still the most impressive play on the map.
Edit: this is as tragic as BTMC’s FC choke. If this FC had been set in 2017 it could’ve been the first 1k 4 years ago.

in osu the score variable is a 32-bit integer (which has the maximum value of 2,147,483,647), once you reached that point the score could no longer go up and so to prevent crashing the game restarts counting from the lowest possible score (-2,147,483,648, but the minus is hidden). As this is a negative number, you are indeed gaining score even though looks like it's going down.

The developer of the game simply didn't take into account that scores could get that high. The integer overflowing and counting from -2,147,483,648 is the default behavior. Integer overflow doesn't make anything crash, at least not directly.
+Gabriel it actually does. Lets say for example in minecraft, if you go over 2,1 billion block in any direction, your game will instantly crash, and you wont be able to load your world because of "illeagal position". Also, there are a few other games, which you can crash by going over the 32 bit integer. It is just a fail safe that the score goes to -2,1 bill.

imo it's circle people putting the combo # in the title, that and the chat sync.
An FC on this by Cookiezi will probably be the most impressive play on this game by far. Most maps are known for one specific aspect like reading, or patterns, but Yomi Yori is a huge compilation of all of these things. It requires an amazing handle over all styles of mapping because of how diverse each moment of the song is.
