It's Avenger November! The MCU is taking over! Next Friday's reaction will be Ant-Man and the Wasp, on the 17th it will be Captain Marvel, and on the 24th it will be Endgame. The last Friday in November is my channel's one year birthday. I hope we can all celebrate with the Avengers defeating Thanos. ❤🎉 (For one week early access, check out my Patreon. Link is in the description.)
Watch the remaining Marvel movies quickly and react. There are many more Marvel series yet to be seen. The ending episode of Loki Season 2 will come next week
At least you don’t have to wait a year to see the next part like most of us did. Leaving the theater on the Thursday sneak screening was like walking out of a funeral. No talking. Everyone was silent. A rare experience.
@@reactswithjax Bit of a spoiler really, since this movie doesn't let us know whether Hawkeye is still alive. But I guess the spoiler has already been spoiled, so yeah. So just to recap: The original 6 Avengers and Rhodes (Iron Patriot) and Rocket are still alive. Tony and Nebula are still alive, but on that other planet, with no way back. We don't know if Antman is still alive, except for the fact that that's the next movie.
I'd also like to point out the next Antman movie is pretty good. You can skip it and Cpt Marvel and not really miss anything in Endgame. Antman's end credits are the only link and gets immediately explained. Cpt Marvel doesn't matter. The Hawkeye mystery, and then the amazigness of Hawkeye and Black Window is pure gold.
But Antman & the Wasp would be perfect to watch after this. An optimal palette cleancer after mass genocide, enough comedy, action, and heart to forget all about infinity war.
I remember watching the snap in a theater full of people in the room. The entire room was silent. It's like all of us were forced to hold our breath. I remember looking around and just seeing most people leaning forward in their seats with their eyes wide open. We all ain't never seen ANYTHING like that.
I think the plan was to give people a fun easy going film in between, which it actually is! Captain Marvel, though, that was a different story. But End Game was released only a month after Captain Marvel, so it wasn't that bad.
One thing a lot of people don't consider, is that since he has the Spidey-Sense, Pete sensed he and most people around him were about to die before it happened, and it would've told him that nothing could be done. And since he is one of the stronger heroes, he held on longer than anyone.
@br0ken_107 Dr Strange and Wanda have magic, they are not physically stronger than Pete. And at one point when he was 15 he was the 4th strongest Marvel character, his strength even impressed Thor in more modern times because even with both him and the Hulk holding him down he felt Peter budging him a bit. Peter being street level is like Batman being street level, sure they mostly take on organized crime but no way you're saying the dude who defeated the Avengers twice and X-Men once is only "street level." He felt depressed in a Marco Chechetto comic 2-3 years back and casually hopped universes to get advice from alternate versions of him. "Peter is one of the wealest characters in the MCU" is a ridiculous statement." And yes, the Spider-sense is literally a preternatural sense that senses future danger. Even if you just go by the movies how do you think he knew Electro was a danger a full 15-20 minutes before he actually posed a threat in TASM2, or that in No Way Home in the MCU he knew that the Goblin had taken over Norman's mind? It is literally a sense that warns him of _future danger,_ how do you say such incorrect statements so confidently?

I was waiting for your reaction to the movie's abrupt ending on that massive cliffhanger and it did not disappoint. "So my next movie is supposed to be fricking Ant-Man?" That's just so funny and SO validate. Now imagine millions of people having that exact reaction and having to wait a YEAR for Endgame.
What an ending! Wow, I can't imagine being in a theater and seeing that. That must have been terrible having to wait an entire year. Haha, good to know we had similar reactions.
@@reactswithjaxwalking out of the theater with kids crying and everyone with a look of bewilderment on their face. But I know how Marvel goes from reading comics so it didnt bother me. I wish you could fast forward to Endgame. 🐏 your going to need Lamby
That outburst, “next movie is Ant-Man”, had me burst out in laughter in public, feel like a real weirdo… the moment of shared mourning in the cinema was one of those life memories that can never be replicated. 10 years of following these movies and then this. We didn’t feel like ant man was a problem; it felt more like, “ok so we get two movies to comfort us over the next 12 months while we wait for end game”. If felt like compassion from marvel. But I can see how when you have the option to just watch the next movie today, ant-man and captain marvel feel like roadblocks.
1:40 - Yeah, for us, this was 10 years in the making (hence the red 10 in Marvel Studios logo). This was a once in a lifetime experience. This was our generation's "No, I am your father." Except it took 10 years of groundwork. So much hard work. Billions of dollars involved. Millions of people holding their breath for a year, waiting for Endgame. We didn't even know the name of the next movie, they kept a lid on it. PURE EPIC.
@@reactswithjax The memory I have so clearly from the opening night was exactly what you had … I’ve never heard an entire theater gasp and groan when “Directed by…” credits popped up. I was spiraling that night and NONE of my friends had gotten tickets so I had to sit on it for almost 36 hours. 😮
I will say the editing job you did in this reaction was absolutely superb and hysterical. Your reaction is so real and what we all went through several years ago. Btw side note as a mental health professional, the stages of grief do not have any specific order or time frame. Everyone goes through the stages at their own pace and at different times. You in this reaction seemed to go through most of them at rapid pace. Excellent job all around. I really enjoyed this.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I really appreciate the compliment to my editing! I never knew that the stages of grief have no specific order. That's good to know. ❤
I was going to say the stages do not follow an order. At the theater walking out there was a group that was clearly angry, they were saying they will never watch another Marvel movie again. Then we had to face many months processing this. We had to continue going to work and slowly getting our lives back to a semblance of normality.
I just got to say thank you for being a genuine reaction channel. And one that actually has followed all the movies up to this and actually remembering and understanding what’s happening. Happy to be a subscriber :)
Straight up. It’s refreshing Jax REMEMBERS what’s happening. So annoying when they’re like, “Oh what’s Caps metal armed friends name again? Was he in one of them before…?”
Watching this movie back in 2018 was one of the greatest collective experiences I ever had. The audience was completely silent at the end, with the occasional sobbing. It was crushing, and know that the comics version of this story arc was even more brutal.
@@reactswithjax yep. The Infinity Gauntlet saga was released in the early 90s, that was even before I started reading Marvel comics. 😅 In the comics Thanos was in love with Mistress Death, which is a character in the Marvel universe, and he zapped half universe just to try and woo her.
MCU Thanos: "If I kill half of the population, the other half will thrive! I'm saving the universe!" Marvel Comics Thanos: "If I kill half of the population, there will be more dead people than people who are alive, as it should be. Surely, that will please Mistress Death."
I remember seeing this in theatres and everyone just sat in silence staring at the screen. None of us could believe what we saw. And then we spent the next year trying to figure out how they were gonna get out of this.
right?! when no one knew the name of Endgame yet and evryone was tryn to figure it out, im proud to say that i guessed it before it was revealed haha when the russos were like " the title is a word said multiple times in previous movies. good times haha
@@DavidRodriguez-ru6df yeah.. that was nice.. but previously before Avengers Endgame was decided.. wasn't Avengers Annihilation the planned movie name?
Dear Jax, You have been one of my top three favorite reactors since I first discovered you. You are so fun, engaging, sweet, genuine, and insightful. But with this reaction video, you have taken it to the next level. Believe me when I say that I have never come as close to the emotions I felt when I saw this opening night in the theater than I just did in watching your reaction. Your genuine, visceral emotions over the final minutes of this movie, and your after-movie processing, literally brought me to tears along with you. That's how good, and how devastating, this movie is. Also, your use of Office memes in this video were some of your best. The "it's much worse" one had me rolling. And please, please make "Advice From a Non-Expert" a new regular feature in your videos! 😂😂 Thank you Jax, truly. This is the best reaction to this movie I've ever seen. 😊
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so touched that you enjoyed this reaction so much. I will definitely be bringing back "Advice From a Non-Expert" Haha! Thank you for being here and supporting my channel. ❤️🐑
One of the joys, for me, at least, of seeing this in the theater was walking out of the theater at the end. The crowd was silent, dumbstruck, shellshocked, and the crowd waiting to go into the next showing got to watch us all zombie shuffle our way out. As somber as the mood was, it was absolutely hilarious to see their faces go from "great mood, about to see an epic movie" to "wtf happened to THOSE people?" You could just see the horror dawning in their eyes. It was fabulous.
Wow, I never thought of this. I always park on the side of the theater so I don't know if we left out the side door. Hmm, also we saw it opening night - doing some research maybe the first show was 7pm(?) so we would have walked out nearly 10pm maybe no more showtimes.
For real lol I remember seeing this on opening night and walking out like WTF!?! And then Endgame was even worse (for obvious reasons if you've seen it)
It was honestly genius how this movie was actually mainly focused on the Avengers despite Thanos being the actual protagonist. Thanos was the one with an objective to snap away half of human life with the Avengers simply trying to stop that, but Thanos succeeds.
Your post credit scene was very similar to the Avengers (2012)'s post credit scene, I love it! Avengers Infinity War (2018) Thanos says "all that for a drop of blood" Iron Man 2 (2010) Ivan Vanko says "If you could make God bleed, people would cease to believe in him."
Amazingly, this was THE quietest Marvel viewing I ever went to. Despite how many insane things happened here, the entire audience we're just glued to the screen and no one dared miss a single line of dialogue. There was only 2 cheers (Thor entrance and the Strange/Thanos magic fight) and just a sea of sniffles and gasps at the end.
@@reactswithjax It was the WORST lmao, the car ride home, we just tried to wrap our heads around how they come out on top and in the coming months, so many channels were throwing out theories about how many more had to die in order for the good guys to win. It was an insane year for theories and speculation
15:08 little fun fact: when these movies were originally announced it was as Infinity War Parts 1 and 2. They later changed the name of Part 2 since both movies can kind of stand on their own. Plus there’s a bit of a negative feeling around movies being labeled that way (the 2010s were packed with a good handful of parts 1 and 2).
And how long did we wait until we got the title for the next film? LOL I remember people saying it would be Avengers Assemble Avengers Endgame and on and on and on. It was crazy.
@@rufus5966lol yeah for a good couple years it was just “untitled avengers film”. And spent MONTHS teasing the title and even did that picture puzzle with the set.
I remember seeing this in the theater and everyone walking out after the movie was over either in shock, grief, or stoic. Some crying, some theorizing the next step to save the world, some not saying anything at all. I wasn't thrilled with any death at the end, but Spider-Man clinging to Tony pleading that he doesn't want to go just reminded me that he is still a kid and truly views Tony as a father figure.
Just to twist the knife a little more: With Peter's spider sense is like a very basic prediction power, being able to see just slightly into the future. He knew something awful was happening, but not exactly what, just that there was a blank wall approaching, a terminus where no spider sense was going beyond. He's had that for a few years by this point, so it would have been especially unnerving. For the Whovians, "I don't want to go..." was the final phrase (at the time) of the 10th Doctor's (David Tennant) life, slowly dying and seeing the Regeneration coming, the end of all he was. It was REALLY hard to sit through Peter saying that if you'd happen to just watch that episode of Doctor Who...like I had 2 days before seeing Infinity War opening night.
The disappearing scenes for Rocket/Groot & Peter hit so much harder knowing that Groot's last words to Rocket were "Dad?" and Peter's spider sense going absolutely insane knowing something horrible was going to happen but in no way actually save him from his incoming fate.
That "Dad" crap is the sort of pseudo-fanon that I disregard, even if Feige or a director said it. Why would Groot call Rocket "Dad"? He certainly doesn't show any evidence of that in the rest of the film. JMO.
@@Jessica_Roth ... It wasn't said to imply that Rocket was his actual dad, you know? You may have skipped the part where Groot was killed? Then he had to go back through his "childhood" and "teenage" years. And Rocket is the one looking over him, having the role of a dad. I mean, damn, some people just aren't thoughtful at all and you have to explain them everything. There's nothing pseudo-fandom about this scene.
@@SisyphusOfSodom Rocket was hardly a parent to New Groot, and it was never specified that New Groot has Old Groot's memories of being Rocket's partner before they met the others. We see QUILL acting more like a father to Groot than Rocket even attempted. Thanks for saying I'm not "thoughtful". That really helped the conversation. Now please tell me how the kid in Iron Man 2 is really Peter Parker, even though Peter the Motormouth never tells Tony about it (nor mentions it to Ned) and doesn't have any fanboy reaction when Tony shows up at his place and May doesn't tell Tony when he's flattering her…some idiots fantasized it on line and Feige humored them, so that's TOTALLY canon, right? FFS.
Ah yes the legendary movie that left many audience in the theaters in shocked silence. The one of two moments in the MCU that EVERYONE who saw this in theaters will never forget. Good times.
About hope in the post-credit. People aware of the comics recognized that "star symbol" blu red and gold on Fury's communicator. I won't spoiler it for you, of course, but that was the only beacon of hope we could have, in the ocean of sadness (I had my daughter crying out loud in the theatre and she wasn't the only one). You''ll understand in the next couple of movies...
The swirl of emotions at the end was just golden! So many of the things you said crossed my mind on the months that followed watching this movie in theaters
First of all, fantastic video, as always. I was eager to see how you'd react to the ending, and it was better than I expected. The editing is absolutely on point. As others have mentioned, seeing this in the theaters on opening weekend was quite the experience. When the credits rolled, so many people were shocked, saddened, and largely silent. Their confusion and frustration was, like your own, completely understandable and justified. To see so many beloved heroes lose? To see so many of them die? That's hard to absorb when we're used to seeing good win out in the end. I was one of the relatively small number of people who wasn't so shocked, because the movie essentially ended exactly the way I hoped it would. When these films were originally announced, it was originally as Infinity War parts 1 and 2, so I always knew that it was going to end on some sort of cliffhanger. Also, as someone who read the comic mini-series this was originally based on when it was released way back in 1991, I had a rough idea of where they might take this story, and while I was saddened to see some of the deaths, I was elated with the way the material was handled. This was, after all, Thanos' film. We finally not only get to see him fight (finally), but we also get to see his motivations, and find out he's not some 1-dimesional character. He's the hero of his own story (which most well-written villains are), and he's narratively the protagonist of this film. It was only right for him to end the film having achieved his goal, albeit at a very heavy personal cost. Being frustrated that the next film is "frickin' ANT-MAN" is natural, but I suspect you're really, really going to enjoy it. And given your release schedule, I would imagine you have already watched it. Best wishes to you, keep up the great work. I love your channel!
The pain and anger i was feeling when i first time saw this movie in the cinema. The movie ended and everyone just went outside quiet. Not saying a single word. We were lost and without words to describe what just happened. And the fact the we managed to wait 1 year to see what's going on is insane to me. I don't know how i managed to do that but i'm proud of myself haha. Best movie in the MCU for me, hands down! Also i loved the fact that Marvel kept the Original 6 Avengers so they can focus on them for the next movie. They started it all and they will end it. I love it.
I went opening weekend for this one. There was a crowd lined up for the next viewing after us. And the WTF faces they had watching all us with flowing tears walking out of the theatre was a surreal experience.😢
Jax, your reactions were absolutely HILARIOUS; From your fits maniacal laughter, the intense mood swings, and the absolute shock at the end with your analysis too! I laughed SO hard and look forward to seeing more!
Loved the reaction. Some non-spoiler info as followup: We have the original six avengers left, including wherever Hawkeye is right now, plus Rocket, Rhodey (War Machine), and Nebula. Next up is Antman and the Wasp, and then after that, Captain Marvel, and then after that ENDGAME!
All the stones are powerful, for sure, and most will probably have some effect on any normal person who holds them, but only the Power stone destroys the holder and even that is not immediate. We saw Peter, Ronin and even Karina hold the Power stone for a time. It could be argued that if Karina had dropped the stone instead of clutching it in desperation, she might have lived.
im giggling hysterically lmao we had to wait over a year, you only have maybe a week or two! the theatre during this movie was INSANE!! SHOUTING, CURSING, SCREAMING, "WTF DO YOU MEAN THEY LOST?!?!?" this was the villain we've been waiting for. I love that the story for this saga is that, sometimes, no matter what they do or how hard they try, sometimes...the good guys lose. and your reaction to the cliffhanger ending did not disappoint!!
One thing I noticed: when Steve Rogers said earth just lost its best defender, he was referring to Thor; not Iron Man. And you asked, if I was in that battle, I would probably want to be Thor. Thor’s entrance into Wakanda was probably the best part of the movie. His entrances are always epic.
Great reaction. Not only do I love Lambi’s additions (you monster) but love your anger stage with “one measly post credit scene” and “now I’m supposed to watch AntMan?!?”.
What a great reaction, part sadness, part stress, part madness and part maniacal laughter. Who could ask for more? Roll onto the next one! And cannot wait until Endgame reaction! ❤
We. Had. To. Wait. A. Whole. Year! LOL (Avengers Endgame is the only movie to have $1 billion opening weekend, and for good reason/.) Natasha's "She's not alone" line is my favorite from this movie. When I saw this in theater originally, the cheers were huge for that line.
The biggest cliffhanger ever. Waited for this with anticipation, and even more anticipation for "End Game" with you. This is probably the one MCU movie that has the most spoilers to be avoided, so hopefully no will tell.
can't believe Spiderverse fans are comparing this epic, complete and well timed cliffhanger to ATSV's terrible, incomplete and poorly placed cliffhanger the pfp is only a meme btw
I can watch this reaction more times than the film... The "am dead inside" got me rolling on the floor with my lil beastie doggie running to slurp my face... You are trully one of a kind Lady Jax
I enjoy your Marvel reactions so much that I have literally been counting down the films waiting for this very moment for months and it didn't disappoint. You never do. This films impact on audiences has been compared to The Empire Strikes Back for the current generation. A part of me felt that in a world of predictable movies it was inspired to have something so unexpected happen. It was that unpredictability that produced such strong emotions we weren't given what we wanted or expected to happen, which in the current climate of movies was something new. I saw people wearing t shirts that said "I survived the snap" etc for the next year. A brilliant reaction, brilliantly edited. I love your inserts they're so funny. You have a great and wicked sense of humor. The world can be a dark place sometimes thank you for providing a little oasis of light. X Ps if you thought this film was emotional.......
Soooooo good seeing the reaction most of us had in the cinema back then... wtf... they end with this... now we need to wait 1 freeking year. :D Love your video as always. Keep up the good work and enjoy your weekend.
Great reaction as always, and, yeah, everyone was pretty much there with you at the end. Also: specifically, what was your comfort food? We are back to the Original Avengers, yes, with a few additional hangers-on (like Nebula and Rocket and Rhodes). As for where were the units from the Sokovia Accords? The U.N. has a resolution on the table to discuss activation of U.N. forces to combat the army Thanos brought. I think it is scheduled to have its first discussion on the second Tuesday of the week beginning June 35th, 3917. In other obvious news, the U.N. remains useless. 😐 Tom Holland really ripped out hearts with his portrayal of the death of Peter Parker. I STILL tear up at that scene. "I don't want to go." followed by "I'm sorry." Soul crushing. And, in reference to the comment I made on the first part of this reaction, mass shipping of comfort Lambys before the second part would have been ideal. 😛 It's just begging to be in the official Jax merch store. 🙂 At least there's another Ant-Man movie coming up to lighten our hearts. Find joy where you can, right?
Almost at the finish line Jackie! As a comic book reader myself, I didn't think it could be portrayed any better than this. Its a bit heartbreaking seeing how our favorite heroes perish away feeling helpless.
Jax, you responded just like most of us. Muttering to yourself, chuckling kind of insanely, getting angry then finding how in the madness. Lamby will help you until you get to the finish line.
Love you Jax!!!! I've been waiting so long for you to get to this point. Infinity War is my all time favorite Marvel Movie and End Game is almost just as good. Thank you for the reactions! You're the best!
Remember that they teased this ending in Age of Ultron when Wanda showed him this vision on Thanos throne. The original Avengers all on Thanos Throne dead or dying and Steve’s haunting words saying “you could have saved us, why didn’t you do more”. There's also an Easter egg showing the gauntlet that Thanos will use to harness the stones power in the space dust shape. I love the trailers for this movie when it shows the build up, it kept me hype for this peak of Marvel and maybe it’ll motivate you too. Also it was a cool time to see all the posters about avenging the fallen.
Hey Jax. Thanks for giving us the reaction and just know that every fan who’s ever seen this movie felt something a kin to what you feel. Also, we get your feelings about Ant Man, but trust me, you’ll need it. And yes, hope is coming… eventually.
@@ouatmastermindbadalbiswalbecause he saw the death of he's perents in front of his eyes 👀 bro and plus captain know this all along and couldn't say damm word about it
Yeah it’s funny how no one blames Tony for his extremely similar reaction which broke up the Avengers which is why they lost. Oh but but the the guy whose had the only 2 women he’s ever loved murdered by despots he’s the idiot to blame for them not getting the glove off of Thanos,(which Strange knew would never happen).
I don't understand why people still criticise Star-Lord for how he reacted to Gamora's death. If Star-Lord acted any differently, Thanos would have won. Dr Strange saw the one future where the Avengers win, and Star-Lord losing it was necessary for that future to happen. Star-Lord losing it in that moment and preventing Tony and Peter from removing the gauntlet helped to save the universe.
Out of all of the MCU movies I would’ve loved to see Jax’s reaction in the theater when it first came out… this is the one. Especially right when the credits roll… I’ll never forget the collective expressions of “what just happened..?!?” on opening night.
Jax, I validate every single one of the emotions you went through when this movie ended. I saw it in the theater -- went there by myself and it was quite a while after opening night, so there weren't many reactions around me to witness. While I didn't cry upon walking out, I did feel numb for a good two or three hours afterwards. It was so difficult to process everything I'd just witnessed, and to imagine any way this disaster could be salvaged. The feeling of betrayal, of having been lied to, is completely understandable too. It comes from the fact that you -- like a lot of viewers, including myself -- misunderstood who the protagonist of this movie is. We assumed that, like always, it was the Avengers and their allies, and it would be a story of how they beat the bad guy and save the day. We were wrong... the protagonist of this film is Thanos, and it's the story of his quest and how he overcomes all the obstacles to achieve his goal. He's the "hero" of this story, and he won. The cognitive dissonance of that fact is just too jarring for words. Oh, and Nick Fury's signal at the end wasn't for Captain America. That was someone else's insignia on the display. The comics fans knew who it was right away, but you'll understand in due time. Looking forward to "Avenger November"! I just hope work allows me to watch all your videos on time.
I like to think I do not delight in the suffering of others but the expression of pure shock and rage when the screen read "directed by Anthony and Joe Russo" was truly one of a kind. But then again, misery loves company and I do appreciate seeing that other people are just as upset by this ending as I was.
You're humor is great! Ive rewatched both movies countless times yet i still cried with you at the end😂 but I knew when I first watched it that dr strange saying it was the only way they were telling us, so I was optimistic all those people wouldn't stay dead lol:)
The processing at the end is so real 😂 Such a great reaction and I totally feel you in all the stages of grief. Also your reactions and the editing is so funny 😅
Think of being in a theater back in 2018 and having to wait a frickin year for resolution. I remember the reaction in the theater, there was absolute silence, people were in shock during the credits, and then you could start hearing sniffles and people started crying and a few yelling, plus many loud WTF's
I'm so glad you made it through this and went through all the feels we all went through, sitting quietly in that theater as the credits rolled. Utter silence, punctuated by a few sobs and quiet whispers of disbelief, a post credits scene that comics nerds got the character reference to and had to explain to everyone else on their way out to the parking lot... and then we had to wait A YEAR for the conclusion. This remains an amazing movie, that it was made, and that a studio let the Russo brothers tell this kind of story with these characters. Truly monumental. I think you'll have fun with Ant Man & The Wasp, give Scott a chance to brighten your day. He's quite the funny fellow, that Paul Rudd. For future reference, the five stages of grief are, in order... 1. Denial. 2. Anger. 3. Bargaining. 4. Depression. 5. Acceptance. These will be useful to remember later... not because of more grief, just a fun theory about an upcoming film.
@reactswithjax there are many reaction channels on UA-cam, but yours stands out. I'm late to the game but your reactions shine with intelligence. I sense a background in psychology as well? Please keep it up, I have never subscribed to a Patreon out of principle, but for you I just might. Absolutely awesome work!
Saw this in the theaters when it first came out, never could quite put a word on what everyone felt at the time, but you hit it on the head, grief. Everyone was grieving. One of the most memorable endings. Hope you enjoy the next one. :)
Legendary reaction! : ) So much involved in this and it's useful to think of this as Thanos being the protagonist in his own story of saving the universe. Loss, opposition, overcoming literal gods, and retiring successful.
The emotional charge of this film is enormous, but in my opinion (and I hope not only in my opinion) the emotional charge of End Game is even greater. Remember that one phrase that is repeated many times in Captain America The Winter Soldier? This sentence will be said again, for the only time, in End Game. Immediately after this, magical, unforgettable moments will begin to happen on the screen. You held back tears during Infinity War. In this scene you won't be able to stop them anymore. People in the cinema halls were cheering, screaming and getting up from their seats during these scenes. Applause for the scriptwriters who came up with such a wonderful ending to the adventure in this world that lasted over 10 years.
Imagine being in the theater... at the end.... complete stunned silence and tears. I did mention they keep ramping it up, and Endgame is 2x as intense!
Fun fact to break your heart a bit more, Spiderman could feel his death approaching due to his Spidey-sense. He also apologized to Tony because if you remember from Homecoming, Tony told Peter "And if you died, I feel like that's on me." ENJOY! :D
The Spidey sense thing isn't really a fact so much as a popularly accepted theory. It would have been firing off on all cylinders from at least the moment Thanos snapped his fingers. My own theory for the reason Peter's dusting took longer from the moment he felt it (apart from the obvious deliberate tear-jerking by the Russos) is that Peter is one of the true superpowered humans in the MCU, with a bit of a healing factor. It's not in Hulk's league (or Deadpool's or Wolverine's), but it's there, and it tried to counteract the snap. Everyone else we saw get dusted barely had time to react, let alone beg for help and ultimately say goodbye.
@@JakkFrost1 Yeah, even Tom Holland said it had nothing to do with his spider sense and was merely just how the scene played out. It always annoys me hearing people in comment sections saying that it was the spider sense when there's never been a shred of truth behind that. Like you said, it's never been anything more than a fan theory that everyone believes to be true.
It was rough towards the end. Seeing so many turned to dust. But the straw that nearly broke me was when I heard, “Mr. Stark? I don’t feel so good.” For me it’s the fact that we forget that for all the things he can do, for all the good he has yet to do, at this point, he’s Peter Parker of Queens, NY; a 15 year old kid who doesn’t want to die.😢
This movie was so good. It hurt so much, but at the end you had faith. Funnily enough no one I talked to had faith in captain marvel (failure on the makers part for that) but in the original avengers, and of course the "no one dies in marvel" trope, but even that didn't hold, as they thought of reasons to kill off a huge number of characters. Peter at the snap still makes me cry, such a great job acting there. When you think about it, spider man is really young, just really started living and he's gone. You tend to forget that he's still a teenager with all his competency, but that moment showed his youth and just breaks my heart every time. Ride the waves of grief, have faith in our heroes, See you in the Endgame. Much love Jax.
You could hear a pin drop as the lights came on in the theater. No one moved for a couple minutes in shock. My 10 yr old son was a wreck... knees pulled up to his chest crying. What a ride!!!
I like how the progression of realization happens "this isn't going to end in a cliffhanger is it?" "if this ends with him snapping his fingers..." also with more clear thinking than Thor, who wanted to hurt Thanos and wasn't thinking about things like "lets chop off his arm"
I remember seeing this opening night and the last few minutes you could hear a pin drop the theater was so quiet. I remember walking out and everyone ahd their shoulders slumped and heads down as if we were leaving a funeral. The group waiting looked at us and they knew something bad happened. The next year was an agony of waiting but was worth it.
Your reactions, especially at the end, were exactly what everyone at theaters were going through. It was Marvel's Cinematic Multiplex Theater of Madness! In your case, a Lambie-verse of Madness! I am really glad that you realized at the end that the original Avengers were among the snap-survivors! Yes, Ant-Man is next, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how fun that movie is! I am looking forward to a Marvel-ous November!! Peter Quill is directly responsible for the non-existence of half of the population of the Universe! Also, you are absolutely correct. If Thanos were a good being, he would have created enough resources so that everyone would have enough. If he takes out half the life, the other half would quickly make up the difference anyway and get back to where we were to begin with. But using the reality stone to create endless supplies of resources for each planet with intelligent life in the universe? Permanent instead of temporary.... Thanos was not only wrong, but also evil and not very bright.... like Quill... (OK, maybe Quill is not that evil...)
the year of theories after this was so insanely fun. if you are wondering whether or not it was a surprise ending to us, it was not. endgame was announced on the same day as infinity war as "infinity war part 2" so we knew it would be a cliffhanger. so many videos on UA-cam videos u can find from that era of people just talking for hours on whats gonna happen next. if i remember correctly, endgame didn't even have a proper proper trailer so it was seriously a secret until premiere day. it almost seemed we wouldnt get any full leaks. i think the full leak was posted only like a day before the movie actually came out . even BEFORE infinity war came out there was videos (and u can still find them) called "who will survive infinity war?" and just a fantasy football situation on choosing your team of people u hope survive, etc
I watched this video for 2 reasons. To see your reacrion right at the end with the credits coming on. And to read everyone in the comment section telling you how emotionally scaring we all were leaving the theaters, saddened having to wait what felt like forever to see the Final movie.
Sitting in the theater at the end of this in silence. Everyone was in shock. Was such a different ending from any MCU to that point. We went through the stages like you did in the dark and in the car on the way home. Your end credit potato chips scene was so fun. :)
I’m so excited for you to watch Captain marvel and avengers endgame! GAH! I wish those date can come by faster!
Watch the remaining Marvel movies quickly and react. There are many more Marvel series yet to be seen. The ending episode of Loki Season 2 will come next week
Endgame split into two a week apart, like Infinity War? Would be understandable, if so. I'm assuming so.
For the next Avengers (endgame) film, I recommend watching the cast credits. People went crazy in the theaters, but I’ll let you see for yourself why.
@@villegasjeepdiecasts don't be a jerk and don't try to set up expectations. Anything like that is just a spoiler.
At least you don’t have to wait a year to see the next part like most of us did. Leaving the theater on the Thursday sneak screening was like walking out of a funeral. No talking. Everyone was silent. A rare experience.
For real!
Seriously man I grew up with it
I was with my dad when this came out it was the last movie we watched together so it has a even bigger meaning for me when I re-watch it
This was peak Marvel... Hopefully it will gain its peak again...
Honestly the multiverse seems to be the culprit here... The creators have not well thought about the multiverse and it's getting messed up
Look at you! You realized quickly that the original 6 Avengers all survived the Snap! Well done 🙌🏼
That's the only bit of hope I was able to take from this film!

I about died 😂
Except I don't think she said "fricken" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's Epic! :DDD
I remember watching the snap in a theater full of people in the room. The entire room was silent. It's like all of us were forced to hold our breath. That must have been wild to witness. What a great memory!

That is so sad. Poor Peter 😭

That outburst, “next movie is Ant-Man”, had me burst out in laughter in public, feel like a real weirdo… the moment of shared mourning in the cinema was one of those life memories that can never be replicated. 10 years of following these movies and then this. We didn’t feel like ant man was a problem; it felt more like, “ok so we get two movies to comfort us over the next 12 months while we wait for end game”. If felt like compassion from marvel. But I can see how when you have the option to just watch the next movie today, ant-man and captain marvel feel like roadblocks.

@@reactswithjax I, too, usually dive straight into anger, bypassing the canonical first step, denial.
I was going to say the stages do not follow an order. At the theater walking out there was a group that was clearly angry, they were saying they will never watch another Marvel movie again. Then we had to face many months processing this. We had to continue going to work and slowly getting our lives back to a semblance of normality.
Haha yeah - anger denial, bargaining, sadness, anger again, acceptance, then sadness and anger again and acceptance again…

Watching this movie back in 2018 was one of the greatest collective experiences I ever had. The audience was completely silent at the end, with the occasional sobbing. It was crushing, and know that the comics version of this story arc was even more brutal.
It was worse in the comics!? Wow.

You have been one of my top three favorite reactors since I first discovered you.
Thank you Jax, truly.
“It shouldn’t be you but it is” what a line oh man and visions second death still sticks with me the way the color fades and he just goes limp
That was such a great line.
Your post credit scene was very similar to the Avengers (2012)'s post credit scene, I love it!
Avengers Infinity War (2018) Thanos says "all that for a drop of blood"
Iron Man 2 (2010) Ivan Vanko says "If you could make God bleed, people would cease to believe in him."
Wow, what a good catch between Vanko's quote and Tony being able to make Thanos bleed. I love that connection!
Wow! The theater experience sounds amazing. Although, walking out of the theater not knowing what was to come next must have felt terrible.
@@reactswithjax It was the WORST lmao, the car ride home, we just tried to wrap our heads around how they come out on top and in the coming months, so many channels were throwing out theories about how many more had to die in order for the good guys to win. NO Cheers when Steve & crew came to assist Wanda & Vision...with AVENGERS theme playing???🤔
I've seen it a zillion times, but still get chills at Thor's Wakanda entrance and the Avengers theme kicking in full
Just to twist the knife a little more:
With Peter's spider sense is like a very basic prediction power, being able to see just slightly into the future.
His spidey sense knew something bad was happening, but not what.
FFS.
😂 that ending montage of your grief stages is pure gold!
I'm so glad you liked it!! It was a pretty wild experience. This movie brought out every emotion possible.
I love it.

What a sad line of dialogue!
It’s not going to have that effect on Thanos, Thor etc.
Even though in the comics Karina is the collectors daughter
im giggling hysterically lmao we had to wait over a year, you only have maybe a week or two! the theatre during this movie was INSANE!!

Tom Holland really ripped out hearts with his portrayal of the death of Peter Parker.
At least there's another Ant-Man movie coming up to lighten our hearts.
You just know she is amazing when you have a lot of people really thanking her in the comments. I feel so lucky to watch her reaction
Thor’s entrance to Wakanda still gives me head to toe chills every time I see it. Can’t beat him ⚡️
Remember that they teased this ending in Age of Ultron when Wanda showed him this vision on Thanos throne.
Lol this movie was not teased at all in age of ultron they were still unsure where to go
Amazing reaction. And I loved your wrap-up! 😅 Looking forward to speed-running the rest with you
Hey Jax. Thanks for giving us the reaction and just know that every fan who’s ever seen this movie felt something a kin to what you feel. Also, we get your feelings about Ant Man, but trust me, you’ll need it.
And yes, hope is coming… eventually.
Thank you so much for watching! Good to know I'm not the only one who had that reaction. I ended up really enjoying Ant-Man. It was awesome.
@@reactswithjax hmm... I might just sneak over to your patrion (misspelled intentionally)
The best reaction I've seen yet. Those highs and lows post credit are amazing! lol
To be fair, it was Star-Lord's fault he lose his cool. Remember what T'Challa said don't let it consume you.
Agree. He was such a cry baby.
Oh really..... Remember civil war... How tony reacted after he knew about Howard stark murder
Especially right when the credits roll…
I’ll never forget the collective expressions of “what just happened..?!?” on opening night.
That ending just perfect 😘🔥🔥🔥
The ending was almost Shakespearean, the music playing while Thanos has a slight smile because he knows he's accomplished his goal.
Love when Fridays comes around and we get to see the crazy mix of emotions from Jax.
Best post-snap reaction ever. Imagine the people who had to wait nearly a year for the next Avengers film 😂
"So what? My next movie is suppose to be freaking Antman" that line killed me.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch Infinity War, these scenes always get me!!!!! ❤
It's such a phenomenal movie! ❤
Incredible reactions Jax.
Fortunately, you don't have to wait years, like some of us, to see what happens next! :)
Nobody had to wait years. Endgame was a year later.
Sorry for giving my own personal opinion. Glad you saw it a year later. I didn't.
@@kieronball8962 I wasn't trying to be mean. I'm just saying nobody had to wait years, because it was available a year later.
The processing at the end is so real 😂 Such a great reaction and I totally feel you in all the stages of grief. Also your reactions and the editing is so funny 😅
My favorite part was hearing about the kids crying in the movie theater saying to their dad "i thought the good guys were supposed to win" 😂😂😂
thats what caught everyone off guard lol, good guys lost
And that's why it's my favourite Marvel movie. Real consequences give real reactions. If the heroes always win, there's no tension. ;)
Damn I forgot this was supposed to drop today. Definitely made my boring day rn lol 😅
Wow, what a memorable theater experience. I'm looking forward to the next movie. Here's to hoping it's more uplifting! ❤️
Legendary reaction! : )
So much involved in this and it's useful to think of this as Thanos being the protagonist in his own story of saving the universe.
Iron Man 2, said to Tony: "If you can make God bleed, he ceases to be God."
Infinity War, said to Tony: "All that for a drop of blood."
Waiting a week for the second part of a movie is criminal. Cannot do this for endgame
It was rough towards the end. Seeing so many turned to dust. But the straw that nearly broke me was when I heard, “Mr. Stark? I don’t feel so good.”
For me it’s the fact that we forget that for all the things he can do, for all the good he has yet to do, at this point, he’s Peter Parker of Queens, NY; a 15 year old kid who doesn’t want to die.😢
The scene where Peter dies is so sad. The acting, the dialogue...it was all brilliant.
Much love Jax.
first stage of grief is denial, anger is 2nd, bargaining then depression then acceptance.
You could hear a pin drop as the lights came on in the theater. No one moved for a couple minutes in shock. My 10 yr old son was a wreck... knees pulled up to his chest crying. What a ride!!!
That"What?!" at the end was how we all felt. There was a lot of crying in the theatre at the time as well.
I like how the progression of realization happens
"this isn't going to end in a cliffhanger is it?"
"if this ends with him snapping his fingers..."
also with more clear thinking than Thor, who wanted to hurt Thanos and wasn't thinking about things like "lets chop off his arm"
"Descending into madness," indeed! I feel so guilty for laughing at your reaction to The Snap but it was priceless!
the year of theories after this was so insanely fun. if you are wondering whether or not it was a surprise ending to us, it was not. endgame was announced on the same day as infinity war as "infinity war part 2" so we knew it would be a cliffhanger.
so many videos on UA-cam videos u can find from that era of people just talking for hours on whats gonna happen next. if i remember correctly, endgame didn't even have a proper proper trailer so it was seriously a secret until premiere day. it almost seemed we wouldnt get any full leaks. i think the full leak was posted only like a day before the movie actually came out .
even BEFORE infinity war came out there was videos (and u can still find them) called "who will survive infinity war?" and just a fantasy football situation on choosing your team of people u hope survive, etc
'JUST ENJOYED'...... EACH AND EVERY SECONDS OF YOUR REACTION JAX... That Maniacal Laughter is the Highlight... That was very real...
