Never have I seen Jax laugh so hard as when Peter is recording the Civil War battle. This is delightful haha.
I know, it’s such contagious laughter, I loved it lol. I knew the Spider-Man movies would be up her alley!
@@foreignhades6788 Right? These are the ones I was most anticipating for her to get to. Ant-Man too.
It is her reactions like that why I subscribed and try to see her videos asap.
Just when I thought her reactions couldn't get any more fun.
There was one other time where she practically snorked, but I can't remember lol.
The fact that you remembered Peter's Teacher from Incredible Hulk is impressive just from memory alone. I had to have it pointed out.
It's especially impressive considering she watches each of these movies after a two weeks gap
@@abhishekbaburaj1105yeah 😅😊
That's exactly what I was thinking
This woman is incredible
Excellent comment
I love that, even while they're not on speaking terms, Tony still respects the crap out of Cap
Who wouldn't? 😢😂
I think its because they are both natural leaders. Tony knows that if he wasn't around, Cap would continue his work and vice versa. Well, unless they were both gone ofc.
That wasn't respect, he was just making a realistic assessment.
@@tornadochaser2457That's still respect, dafuq? If it wasn't, then he wouldn't have sent Spidey to face Cap.
@@temper44 " Well, unless they were both gone ofc."

“No you’re not, you are not her dad, are you kidding me? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” 😂😂😂 Same reaction we all had in the theater!
really? why? that was so standard for spiderman...
@@Metzwerg74bruh. Most people were surprised so doesn’t matter. Get off your high horse.
@@jingleballs9935 ok, you´re right.. theese days people usually can´t remember much, that is older than 4-5 years... sorry if knowing older stuff offends you....
@@Metzwerg74in the comics the vulture is not Liz Allen’s dad. So it was a shock
@@ConnorVide Yeah, in comics father of Gwen Stacy is also very aggressive towards Spider-Man, so it wasn't that shocking
The vulture being Liz's dad was a huge twist. Audible gasps in the theater, it was great.
Really? I don't remember many people seeming all that surprised when I saw it. I wouldn't say it was "expected" by most, but as he stood at the door I kinda saw it coming.
@@unholydriver4987 maybe every theater was different. I was blessed to be able to see it on opening night and there seems to be a liberty at least around where I live when a Blockbuster it showing on opening night it's okay to be very expressive. Not very strange for people to clap, cheer, do different kinds of things at the appropriate times and I definitely remember there being Audible sounds of surprise, myself included.
@@MattPerk7 Oh, I'm not doubting you. I'm just a little surprised. Maybe I've watched too many sitcoms. 😂
so never seen a spiderman movie before ? it´s more or less a spiderman standard.... i literally don´t know anyone, that was really surprised by that... more like annoyed... again ?
Who knew Peter Parker dating Batman daughter
Spider-Man is so strong that he holds back with every fight he has otherwise he would kill every person he fought
In one of the comics, he (well, Doc Ock in Peter's body) punches Scorpion's jaw off.
Except Deadpool. In the Deadpool kills the Marvel universe comic, after a intense fight Deadpool puts his gun under Spiderman's chin and... Even his spider sense couldn't save him.
@@evil7011Which was stupid
@@DingoEnderZOE2 when you think about it, it could be possible. With all his powers Peter Parker has weaknesses too. He is not invincible. Plot armor yes but not invincible. Specifically not bullet proof. He has been injured many times and got sick too. Unlike Deadpool, he is invincible cursed by Thanos with immortality to prevent a relationship with lady death and Deadpool has super healing powers. Plus he is good fighter and can use any weapon. And he is crazy as well, not even Xavier could read his mind or manipulate him.
Imagine a fight to the death between them, how long can spiderman go head to head against deadpool? After sometime spiderman will reach his limit, heavily beat up and not able to fight back. During his fights with Craven, he was almost done for it in one instance.
Since deadpool can easily overpower craven, you do math. In theory it's possible.
@@evil7011 Possible but severely unlikely. the point was spider man IS fast enough at close range to either dodge a bullet or slap away a man's hand with a gun. Plus there's been instances where his Spider sense will autopilot him away from incoming danger.
Its happened several times in his canon comics but in a what if dead pool comic they made a stupid exception.
It made more sense in the Punisher kills the marvel universe(which came out way before Deadpool kills the marvel universe)because at least there Frank made sure Spidey was hit in a double trap with Venom(that his Spider sense also warned him about but he had Venom coming at him and he couldn't dodge in time) that severely injured him to the point that he too weak to MOVE before he casually walked up and headshot him as opposed to when Spider man was in full health and got clapped by Dead pool and he had the nerve to act like his other villains never used guns against him.
Edit:Also Deadpool was not himself at all in Deadpool kills the marvel universe, a dark way crazier personality came and deleted his fun personalities and that's why Professor X couldn't read him anymore. I read this comic awhile back and alot of it made absolutely no sense but I brushed it off as fun read not to take too seriously.
Edit 2: As for Kraven the original Kraven only managed to beat him that one time because Spidey as usual was holding back and he didn't think Kraven would be that ruthless at the time and he paid for it. And luckily Kraven just wanted to beat him and not kill him because if he had real bullets in his shotgun instead of heavy dute sedative rounds at the time that would have been it.
Oh and in a FAIR real fight to the death no holding back against Deadpool Spider-man would absolutely wash him no chances even Deadpool himself acknowledges this to the point even he couldn't understand how someone with "the strength of a freaky Spider" can be so hard for him to beat. And if deadpool couldn't die it wouldn't be hard at all for Spider-man to immobilize him and get him to be imprisoned somewhere.
Hey Jax!😀
First, no. None of us saw it coming. Toomes (The Vulture) being Liz’s dad shocked all of us and maybe still the best twist of the MCU.
Secondly, yeah, pretty much every homecoming starts with a football game. Also, the movie is called homecoming, not just because it surrounds the school event, but this was the Spider Man film franchise coming home to Marvel Studios.
Lastly, the teacher is played by Martin Starr. He DID play the guy in the computer lab in The Incredible Hulk (great catch btw), and I think it was said that they’re the same character.
The principal is played by Kenneth Choi. He also plays his own grandfather who was one of Captain America’s Howling Commandos and that’s his picture behind the desk that you saw ( awesome eagle eye!).
MCU's Spiderman movies are filled with twists, if u have seen the next two movies u know what I'm talking about
Yeah, Jax is really invested in the interconnectivity of the MCU, and I'm loving how she pics up on these things.
It's very classic Spider-Man storytelling though. Spidey has always had to deal with the ramifications of his personal life getting involved with him being Spider-Man.
Hey Jax. I always love your reactions, your belly laughs were the best when you saw Peter’s film. By the way, only in the Sam Raimi movies will you see Spider-man’s webs naturally produced from his wrists. He created web shooters in the comics like you see here in this movie.
Does Peter's school even have a football team? I know they have a basketball team, but it's mostly an "intellectual" school, isn't it?
I mean even the school bully is on the Academic Decathlon team.
I love how much Jax loved this. The sheer joy is so uplifting.
I sometimes forget how good this one is. It's definitely up there.
I really enjoyed Keaton's Vulture in this and I'm a fan of the score. Great movie imo.
The burst of laughter at 4:07 was so infectious I couldn't stop chuckling. A+ reaction, Jax!
Great reaction as always, Jax!
The webs coming out of Spider-Man's body was only a thing in the Tobey Maguire movies. Every other version of Spider-Man (including the original comic version) uses mechanical web-shooters that are attached to his wrists.
A lot of people complained about Iron Man being in this movie when it was first released, but there was a comic series called Marvel Team-Up that featured Spidey teaming up with a different character every issue, and for me the MCU Spider-Man movies are just adaptations of that series (although I won't mention who he teams up with in the second and third movies because of spoilers).
a couple versions of spider man can shoot organic webs... just not the mainstream versions. i think some versions they are an upgrade as his power further develops/mutates, which im a fan of.
@@hzhang1228 I haven't really kept up with the Spider-Man comics since the 90s but it doesn't surprise me that they'd incorporate the organic webbing into a few stories.
duh-duh-duh-don't say anyhting.
Spiderman really is one of the strongest superheroes. He's not really aware of it, and he's also so scared of really hurting people that he pulls his punches. If you watch some of his feats of strength and then think if he really rage fought someone...
I'm glad they avoided treading the ground of the previous Spiderman movies with the whole getting bitten and the death of Uncle Ben, and gave him an aunt of a realistic age for a 15 year old. Utilizing Happy as a reluctant babysitter worked well too as his attitude is a great contrast to Peter's enthusiasm.
I liked the villain too. Not evil for evil's sake and gave Peter a chance to walk away and turn a blind eye. And of course brilliantly portrayed by Mr Keaton. Very entertaining as was your reaction as usual Jax. 👍😀❤
Aunts can be pretty much any age. Yes, it's more likely that she would be within 20 or so years of his age, but a septuagenarian certainly isn't unrealistic.
@@unholydriver4987 Sure, I wasn't meaning it's impossible for his aunt to be 70, just an outlier to what is normal for most people. She could also have been a toddler, but making her a forty-something feels right to me and frees her character from the 'little old lady' trope.
@@swanronson173Fun Fact: Marisa Tomei (who BTW is now 58) starred with RDJ in a romcom called Only You (1994). The two actually dated for a while back then in real life.
the 8 years later bit was an error by Sony and they admitted that it was a mistake, it is actually 4 years after The Avengers (Battle of New York)
I was just about to point this out
Apparently that scene where Tony reaches around Peter to grab the door handle and Peter mistakes it for a hug was completely improvised. Which makes it even more iconic. I just like to think of Tom Holland as awkward as Peter Parker
The same thing happened between them in Civil War when Tony’s recruiting himself and says “You move the leg because I’m gonna sit down.”
RDJ has been doing such incredible improves all around MCU! Few of them are-
-Tony laughing when asking the DJ to change music during fight with Rhodey in IM2!
-"That man's playing Galaga, thought we wouldn't notice!" Avengers 1
- Tony giving blueberries to Bruce! Avengers1
Also " move the leg I'm going to sit here" was improvised by RDJ when Tom didn't move over.
and I think the "I hope something skimpy" also RDJ idea
Last I checked Holland & Zendaya date irl as well. Seems weird to say as a man but that’s extremely wholesome. Hope it works out but if it doesn’t, I know they’re having one helluva time & that’s all that matters
The Cap scene at the end is hands down my favorite MCU post-credit scene 😂
I love that!!!
7:54 the reason the suit is so baggy until he presses the button, is probably that Tony made it so that he could grow and bulk up, but still fit into it. That way he wouldn't need to get a new suit, if he got buffer.
That may be part of the reason, but considering how skintight it is, I'd bet it's more to make it quicker to put on. Easier than having to struggle to squeeze into it and get it properly adjusted, iykwim.
Cool that you noticed the Easter Egg with the photo of the principal's grandfather. Yes, he was indeed a WWII veteran. Not only that, but he was also one of Captain America's Howling Commandos.
Also, in most iterations Peter uses devices on his wrists called web-shooters to, well, shoot his spider webs. He does, however, have an instictual knowledge of what chemicals he needs to create the web fluid used in the web-shooter cartridges. Peter creating the webs organically is only an idea introduced in the Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire movies.
Which was later introduced into the comics.
@@benn454 actually there were stories in the comics decades before the MCU when Peter temporarily had organic webs, but it was never a long-term thing, just part of specific story arcs (like when he experimented upon himself and caused unintentional mutation).
@@neospock5034 I was specifically referring to the comic where he gets turned into a giant spider, lays an egg, and then hatches from the egg as a human with web glands in his wrists. So freaking weird.
Karen is voiced by Jennifer Connelly. Famous for Labyrinth and Requiem for a Dream of course but she also played Betty in Hulk (2003). Married to Paul Bettany which makes it a great easter egg.
Oh really lol
Yes. Which begs the question: is Jarvis to Vision as Karen is to... Jocasta?
Great reaction! Yes, Tom Holland's Spider-Man is right up with Cap among my favorites. Homecoming refers not only to the dance, but also to Marvel negotiating the rights for the character with Sony, so it was a homecoming for Spider-Man to Marvel, too. Yes, the Vulture is one of Spider-Man's oldest and most common villains, although they gave him a technological update for the MCU. In the first post credit scene, I believe Liz's dad decided to protect Spider-Man because he saved his life, just like he was going to give him a pass for saving Liz.
That whole Vulture being Liz's dad twist sequence was so incredibly well done!
Oh, and Spider-Man's web shooters are always mechanical - he built them and makes the web fluid himself!
The scene when Tony comes out of his suit to talk to Peter was so well done 😂& the villain being Liz’s dad was such a shocker I loved it & the music was great. & Spider-Man usually has a web shooter that shoots the web he makes them, the only time they came out of his body was in the Toby movies which was its own thing
It's hilarious that Happy is Tony's Head of Security.
He didn't check the bathroom stalls before talking to Peter. 😂
omg that's hilarious, I never thought about it like that lol
thats why hes the forehead of security 🤣
I love your energy with this movie. The Villain-Dad-Reveal was indeed an unexpected moment. This is a fantastic MCU entry.
Also, Spider-Man makes his web-fluid for his spider-webs. Tobey is the only Spider-Man who shoots webs out of his body. Almost every other version of Spider-Man has to use web-shooters. Which are just wrist band-style devices.
only for people, that never saw a spiderman movie before..... all other just groan and ask: "again?"
That Cap psa about patience is my favorite post-credit scene of all the MCU.
MCU trolled us good with that one 😂
Very meta. Gotta love the subtle way they acknowledged the audience with that one.
Your reaction to Peter's documentary was the cutest thing I've ever seen!!! Just loved that!!! You have the best laugh!!
Michael Keaton was such a great villain! The twist that he was Liz's father was so brilliant and came out of nowhere. Loved him slowly figuring out who Peter actually was. Love that he even at first seemed to shrug it off, then all the DC and Tony stuff made it click. Great bit of acting from Keaton! And him still keeping Peter's secret was great too! Shows that he truly did appreciate that Peter saved Liz and that Liz could be a potential target if someone was to go after her to get to Peter.
Always look forward to Jax and her 19 different emotions during a movie!
Thought the same thing when she said those words but I guess it is gonna take like forever to get there
And all put on for show! 🙄
fun fact the little boy Tony saves from the Drones in Iron Man 2 wearing the toy Iron Man mask has been confirmed to be young Peter Parker at the Stark Expo
For sure! 😉🥳
For me the MCU movies were the ultimate.
I've always loved movies but this was something different.
It involved you personally.
They built most of the movies so well in ten years....
You waited years from one movie to the next and when you walked into the theater it felt real. The characters are like they're real friends of yours....
It's a difficult feeling to explain.
I think that over the years the actors keep that friendship, that bond they created...
I'm so glad that someone as exceptional as Jax likes it.
The title Homecoming is a very clever double entendre. It refers to the Homecoming dance but also the fact that Spider-man is returning back to Marvel instead of Sony. Welcome home Spidey
Sony still owns full film rights to Spider-Man.
Sort of returning. Sony still owns IP rights to Spider-Man. The negotiations between Marvel & Sony to make this happen were epic.
I really enjoyed this reaction. I'm glad they were able to work things out with Gwyneth Paltrow to come back as Pepper and that she and Tony got engaged. The end credit scene with Cap was genius. The Spider-Man MCU movies are definitely among the best.
For me the greatest thing this movie did was make The Vulture cool. In the comics he was just a really old man in a green leotard with wings on it. Every time he showed up in the comics I'd just roll my eyes, but in the movie he's a *great* villain.
To be fair, Cap is a trained soldier and Peter is a sweet kid. So while Peter is stronger, I think Cap wins in a fight at least at this point in Peter's career.
Emphasis on “kid”…this isn’t his origin story but if he’s a lower classman in HS + still had the bad suit he hid in his ceiling…then he only recently became spiderman…
To be fair Cap can hang with Spider-Man even when both are fully grown and experienced.🤷🏾♂️
@@kennethsmith6367not really
@@siamrsyed7559 Read any comic where they have a “misunderstanding” and you will see that actually I’m right.😏
@@kennethsmith6367 Yes i have, Spiderman can wipe the floor with captain America any day. captain is the peak of strength a human can reach, Spiderman is a man if they have the proportional strength of a spider, spider man is at least 1000 times as strong and fast as Captain.
The Vulture being Liz's dad is still one of the best twists I have ever seen. The clues are there, but they are subtle enough that they slip right past when you first watch it, and that reveal is so great. I can remember the gasp followed by silence in that moment when I first saw it.
There's two more Spider-Man movies after this one: Far From Home and No Way Home. This is my favorite Siped-Man arc story. Thank you for your reactions! Awesome, as always!
The MCU Spider-Man films are all part of the Spider-Verse now.
You've become my favorite reaction channel. I love how bubbly and genuine you are, and how you seem personally offended whenever the bad guy does bad guy stuff.
Spiderman has been my favorite superhero since I was a kid (I'm now 59) because of his wit and smartassery, and Tom Holland is far and away the best Spidey yet. I've always thought Peter Parker was cool, but nobody else in his life realized he was cool. Tom Holland, IMO, conveys that energy perfectly.
Thoroughly looking forward to your reactions to the rest of the Spidey and other MCU movies...with the possible exception of Thor: Love and Thunder...That was horrible.
@24:15 Principal Morita is the grandson of Jim Morita, who was a member of The Howling Commandos in Captain America: The First Avenger. He was the one who was “from Fresno, Ace”. He was also played by the same actor, Kenneth Choi.
This and Far From Home are my two favorite live-action Spider-Man movies. I do love the Spiderverse movies more, but those are just two of the very best movies of all-time, so...pretty hard to compete with.
Your energy during that movie was just perfect, so glad I found your channel.
I think your reactions are so fun and perfect !! I love your reactions to different moments, your facial expressions, and also your Star Wars references. This channel is perfect with you, Lamby and your editor, absolutely perfect. So entertaining ! thx a lot
Your laugh is one of the best things ever. You're amazing, Jax! :D
And yeah, this is among the best films in the MCU. It's crazy that they were able to bring such a different energy and feeling to Peter's character and that they managed to tie everything into the whole storyline. That in itself gives added meaning to the film and elevated it, in my opinion. It's also just so much fun. They did an amazing job with the casting, as (almost) always.
LOVED your reaction to this movie,Jax! Your reaction to Peter filming the battle was priceless 😂. Tony and Peter’s dynamic in the MCU is genuine. I’ve read several times that they have a father-son relationship off camera as well. If you thought this movie was great (and it is!), then you’re in for a treat with the next two movies. They just keep getting better.
"the people that know the source material are freaking out in the theatres..."
We are! Most of the time. If it's done poorly, we groan and quietly mutter. But 95% of the time, there's flailing.
This was especially true in the earlier days. I remember seeing the post-credits scene where Wanda and Pietro are first seen. Half the theater went nuts. The other half was like "Huh? Who are those people? What's going on? It suddenly got really loud in here, so obviously something happened, but I don't know what it is!" 😅
28:59 Amazing! I never noticed that! But yes, the same actor portrayed one of the WWII soldiers fighting with Captain America back in the '40s, so I'm assuming they're suggesting this principal is that soldier's descendant.
That's awesome that they brought back the same actor!
I love your enthusiasm and joy at watching these movies! From the very first minutes you are having such a blast. It reminds me of how much I loved this the very first time I watched it.
That teacher in charge of the decathlon WAS the guy from the Hulk. I believe it's confirmed to even be the same character, so between the incredible hulk and Spiderman homecoming, he graduated and became a teacher at Peter's school
I've seen these movies a hundred times, I didn't even know that nor spot it.
Loved it, Jax! Relax about MJ, she's gonna grow. Personally, I think the "Dad Talk" scene was one of the best tension-building scenes I have seen. DEFINITELY the best in the MCU. Keaton was in another movie caled "Blindsided", where he plays a criminal terrorizing a blind woman. DEFINITELY worth a look! Love ya!
The whole scene in the car was extremely creative. So much tension developing with just conversation with a bystander (Liz) completely unaware of what was unfolding right in front of her. No movie magic needed, just good dialogue and acting.
30:13 It was so perfect, I kid you not, I was actually drinking a soda when Vulture opened that door, and actually choked on it I was so surprised.
I love that! 😂
Love your reactions Jax! You’re so enthusiastic and wholesome! And such an adorable dork *makes Lamby’s wings flap*
A bit of trivia... the voice of Karen is Jennifer Connelly, the real life wife of actor Paul Bettany, the voice of JARVIS/Vision.
THAT IS SO COOL!!!!! ❤️🎉🐑
Jax, this is your best reaction video to date. You bursting out laughing around the 4 min mark was so funny. This definitely gets a like from me 😃
The moment when Vulture opened the door and Peter saw him was as heartstopping for audiences as it was for him.
And when he pulled a gun on Peter too.
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, Jax! :) There are 3 Spider-Man movies in the MCU, and they're all high up on my list of top MCU movies, personally! Also yeah the Vulture being Liz's Dad was a pretty wild reveal in the theatre, there was foreshadowing for him being a parent at the beginning of the movie, though, which is fun to notice upon re-watching, Liz had drawn him a picture which he had when they were working on the cleanup site :)
Great reaction Jax! I Luv how entertained you were by this movie. Spidey is and always will be a kid! Tom H is great at playing a 15 yr old. Looking forward to watching the next movie reaction! Luv how Micheal Keaton went from DCU hero to MCU villain! Lol Luv ya Jax & lamby too! ❤💛
Hi Reacts With Jax. I loved your reaction to Spider-Man so much. It was so funny, entertaining and adorable. Your reactions and commentary made it that much more memorable and special. I’m so happy I found your channel. Whenever I watch a movie with you I can feel your positive down to earth personality through the screen. I wish you and Lamy a b🐑tiful day/night 🎬👋😊
I have so much fun watching you have fun, Jax. I think you laughed more in this reaction than in all the other MCUs combined and it makes me smile. Keep up the good work! By the way, not only is the actor playing the debate coach the same actor from that scene in Incredible Hulk, he's playing the same character.
Tony repurposed an old Warehouse in upstate for The Avengers compound at the end of Age of Ultron but he did not move his own operations there, he put Cap in charge. After Civil War, Tony moved into the compound.
37:30 if you're nothing without the suit... That's a call back to Iron Man 3👍
More a callback to The Avengers when Steve Rogers says "big man in a suit of armor. Take that off and what are you?" and Tony Stark answers "Genius. Billionaire. Playboy. Philanthropist." Tony Stark was already something before he created the Iron Man suit, the point he was trying to make to Peter Parker.
"Without my hammer I can't..." - Thor
4:01 I think that might be your biggest MCU reaction of all time, Jax
omgosh the first 5 mins of your reaction! i don't think ive ever seen you burst out laughing like that in any other of your videos before! its sooo adorable! hahahaha
The beginning of this movie was AMAZING!!! This was such a joy to watch. I'm glad you enjoyed it too!!! ❤️🎉🐑
This movie has so much charm. Great cast, great writing, everyone and everything at the top of their game. Fun video, Jax, thanks!
The name of the movie actually has a double meaning. It's Homecoming the dance, but it's also Spider-Man's homecoming back to Marvel. Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man...so the Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies were completely owned, released and marketed by Sony...but when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 flopped, Sony made a deal with Marvel to bring Spider-Man into the MCU...they basically let Marvel write, cast and create this version, Sony got the marketing, we fans got the W.
The amazing Spiderman 2 didn't flopped at the box office but it did an underwhelming business or it was a sleeper hit at the box office 😊
@@mirrorrayed4130 It was considered a major flop by Sony. It was the lowest grossing Spider-Man film at that point. It's the whole reason they scrapped Amazing Spider-Man 3 and 4 in favor of rebooting him in the MCU.
The title does double duty being about the homecoming dance. And also celebrating Spider-Man's homecoming to Marvel after Sony prevented Marvel from using him.
"Good ole Spider-man" is such a chilling line when you see Michael Keaton fully put it together
The name of the convict that speaks to Adrian Toomes in prison is Mac Gargan, who comic fans know as The Scorpion, another Spider-man villain. The Scorpion tattoo on his neck is an Easter Egg.
Oooh, thank you! I'm so intrigued by him!
Trivia time! The voice of Karen is done by Jennifer Connelly, who IRL is married to Paul Bettany who is of cause once the voice of Jarvis, another Stark AI.
I think Tom Holland is the best Spider Man ever 😍😊
I'm loving your MCU journey, and watch this one with you was simply over the top. Seeing you have such a great time was so enjoyable
The end credit scene in the Jail, the character Toomes is talking to is another Spiderman villain, Scorpion or at least that's what his tattoo suggests.
16:25 with this iteration of Spider-Man, this early in his career, I've gotta give the win to Cap. In the 616 comics, it's a closer battle, but Spidey definitely takes it, if he gets serious and doesn't let his hero worship for Cap hold him back.
This isn’t Michael Keaton’s first comic book superhero movie. He was also 1989 Batman.
While we only had one fully costumed supervillain, this film featured a few other enemies of Spider-Man.
Aside from the two Shockers, Phineas Mason is the Tinkerer and Mac Gargan is the Scorpion.
Aaron’s nephew is Miles Morales. In the comics, he’s another incarnation of Spider-Man.
Miles is also the lead character in the animated movie Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend checking it out.
The sequel Across the Spider-Verse has just dropped on dvd.
Thank you for the work you put in to your reactions. Your bright energy is great when I’m feeling down.
I'm so glad my videos brighten your day!! 💖
As a lifelong resident of New York City, and especially as someone who grew up in Queens through a few neighborhoods, and then Manhattan, I love how much this movie has the proper feel of the Queens borough throughout. New York City is composed of 5 boroughs: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan (which is what most people think of when they think of NYC), Queens, Staten Island.
I love these SpiderMan movies. Although you’ve only seen one of three so far, they are all very “teen movie” driven where adults are either dismissive or just stupid and it’s all about the teen interactions and dramas. Yet they all still work so well within the MCU. Michael Keaton is such an awesome actor.
especially the 80s teen movies, I can see a ton of similarities
Oh my gosh! I love your hysterical laughter in this reaction! It’s so fun seeing people react to a movie the way I did!
I'm so glad we had a similar reaction!! This movie was incredible!
29:10 that is the same actor that was one of the howling commandos on caps team but in the movie it is his grandson
Spider-Man can dodge bullets.
However, they would hurt or kill him if they hit.
team Spiderman if he wasn't holding back could destroy Cap
Normally, yes, but this version of Spidey, with his huge lack of experience, isn't beating Cap anytime soon.
@@JakkFrost1I’m pretty sure this Spider-Man at the point that he is right now aka after no way home can beat captain america 100%
@@LuisLopez-xw8no possibly, arguably, but I'm talking about this Spidey from this point in time that Jax was asking about.
What a great reaction! In all the reactions Ive seen of yours Ive never seen you laugh this hard @ 4:03 LMAO LMAO! Great reaction! Also, really looking forward to your spooky October lineup, I mean I hope you have a lineup cause it would really fit the season and Im a huge horror fan too. Anyway, love these reactions!
Your enthusiasm and enjoyment of these films is heartwarming!!!!!!! Awesome job!!!!!!❤😊
This movie laid the foundation of a very important relationship in the Infinity War saga. The importance of the affection Tony Stark and Peter Parker have for each other will become very significant in the last two Avengers movies.
Stan Lee's favorite Spider-Man is Tom Holland & his favorite couple Peter Parker & Mary Jane Watson. But this MJ in the MCU stands for Michelle Jones.
Fun fact: In Iron Man 2 when Venko attacks the Stark Expo with his drones, Tony saves the life of a kid wearing an Iron Man mask from one of the drones. It has been confirmed the kid was in fact Peter himself. They acknowledge this with a brief shot of the Expo globe when Peter is shooting his video at the beginning of the film.
PS For picking up on the teacher being in The Incredible Hulk, gotta say that officially makes you a hard core MCU fan. Welcome to the club and don’t forget to pick up a T Shirt.
28:58 His dad(or grandfather?) was the Japanese guy in the Howling Commandos in the first Cap movie. And I think he might be a reference to the 442nd Infantry Regiment who were highly decorated and comprised of Japanese American soldiers. They fought in Europe so it makes sense.
Martin Starr (the teacher) first appeared in the MCU in the film 'The Incredible Hulk'.
Oh my goodness! I love lamby's new dragon suit! Glad we were able to see it, 😁its fits so perfectly!! I remember watching this movie in the drive in when it first came out, I honestly forgot how GREAT this movie is! Glad you loved it!!
I think this is your best reaction...crab hands, chronicle of the sneeze, it was great. Your gonna love the next one too.
Don't remember if I or anyone else mentioned it? But Peter Parker was in Iron-Man 2 he was the young kid wearing the Iron-Man mask at the end of the movie, he was also mentioned in the Winter Soldier film along Doctor Strange on the roof top.
Spider-man actually always holds back, when he doesn't he can easily kill most of his villains. To put perspective Spider-man can lift 10 tons, imagine getting punched by someone with that much strength, add his speed, reflexes, his intelligence and gadgets he has the potential to be one the best.
Yes, thats the funny part about that car scene. He could snatch the gun and beat Toomes to death with it even before Toomes can blink. But he holds back and is genuinely scared. But still has the presence of mind to leave his phone there? That doesnt make any sense.
I identify with you SO much.Your laugh, your love of Peter, your "ahhhhh(on the inhale!).... nonononono", everything. ... "I'm smiling but I'm very uncomfortable" is like my life!
Jax wheezing over a scene is my new favorite thing to watch. Don't remember the last time i had so much fan watching someone else's reaction. Absolute gold.
The guy Adrian toomes is talking to at the end is mac gargan who becomes the villain "scorpion" but he never comes back again
There are many different iterations of spider-man, sometimes he can generate the web from his body, other times he makes the webshooters. In Sam Raimis Spider-man with Tobey, he could generate the webs from his body. But in amazing spider-man and the MCU spider-man, he created the web-shooters :) (yes, im a nerd)
Jax, @34:51 - in this movie, as well as the comics, Peter created his web slingers. In the Sam Raimi/Tobey McGuire Spiderman movies, it was changed to be organic web slingers (i.e. the webs came directly from Peter’s wrists)
The vault Peter gets trapped in is referred to as belonging to Damage Control, who i believe only get that one reference, which is a crime.
In the comics, Damage Control was an organization with the ongoing mission of clearing up the destruction left behind whenever Hero v. Villain got a bit too heated.
They are the ultimate cleanup crew, responsible for the removal of wreckage from countless battlegrounds.
Jax, you're definitely my favorite reactor, and I thoroughly enjoy all your videos....but this one might be my favorite! SO many great moments: your sheer elation at Peter's home film, your top two Avengers being my top two as well (although switched - Spidey is my #1, Cap is a close second), Dragon Lambie, your recognition of the great relationships that Peter has with both Tony and Happy, your keen eye for Easter eggs, your realization and shock at the great reveal of Toomes being Liz's dad (which caught everyone off guard in the theater, because that's not from the comics), more Office memes, and other things that I can't remember. Tobey will always be my Peter Parker, but Tom absolutely nailed the character.
I cannot wait to see your reactions to "Far From Home" and "No Way Home," but please make sure to watch all three Tobey movies and both Andrew Garfield movies before you see "No Way Home"....it will mean so much more if you do.
Keep up the great work!! You're the best!!! 😊❤👍🐑🕷
Aunt May’s, “what the f___\!” At the end makes me laugh.
This is one of the best movies in the MCU. The Dad speech by Vulture, the way the lights change on his eyes, Zendaya is basically the girl that like the guy who likes another girl trope. It gets better.
The post credit scene shows thst Tombs has Honor and Respect for Peter.
Tony does end up proposing to Pepper in the press conference.
For years Paltrow wouldn’t appear in a MCU movie. There was some issues, but she came back.
If you remember in Civil War, she didn’t show up to the MIT thing at the beginning. It’s because there was issues still between her and Tony and she was recovering from the Extemeis thing.
Her appearance made me sooo Happy!
Jax, like usual, what an amazing reaction! Your LAUGH at he beginning was hilarious! I really wish you would expedite the next (5) MCU movies and do them all back to back to back to back to back...but i'll be patient. I'm just very excited about your journey through this franchise.
Thank you SO much!!! The beginning of this movie was hysterical. What a joyful experience. I'm glad you enjoyed my reaction! As we come closer to the end of phase 3, a big part of me wants to binge the movies. The other part of me wants to pace them slowly so they never end!❤️
The part at 37:00 is straight from the comics. Spiderman is trapped under a lot of debris and can't get free. Until he looks into a puddle showing his reflection. The panel in the comics shows half Pete half spidey in the reflection. Spiderman Motivates himself to get free. Loved seeing that moment in the movie, was very nostalgic
This is great Jax , I have been looking forward to your next Marvel reaction, this time I'm watching before I go on night shift to watch it on my bigger TV , always enjoy your commentaries 👍
you laughing at your own sneeze is adorable and greatest thing ever
